Because have you the option to shoot the driver without blowing up the PV.Maybe in a PVP situation but when the other player is in passive and his pv is parked, the tank owner should be 100% responsible. R* loves this glitch. Tanks roaming the streets taking people's cash basically. Why would they patch it? It took them forever to fix the glitch for buying grenade launcher ammo where one grenade cost you 50k. They also don't let you pick up stickies or nades from survival but you can surely waste your own. You also lose all your mini gun ammo. It's all about the $.

I had 200m not even used 1m after i purchased everything. Used for ammo and insurance.

Only some supercars insurance is expensive, around 15k.

That's another thing that I've just noticed recently because I had not done survivals in quite a while. Every wave I was trying to grab the grenades and stickies and it wouldn't let me pick them up.. I thought I was just going crazy.

 

Looks like the shareholders of Rockstar are really putting pressure on the devs to come up with new and exciting ways to screw over the players!

You can pick up any ammo as long as your own stock is low enough.

 

As for the mini-gun, it's perfectly logical why you loose it all. When you die, you loose. It just happens that the mini-guns ammo comes in one lump.

I'm not low level, i'm 263. It's not really about the actual amount of the money. I'd be annoyed if it was my $250 phoenix that got blown up, the aforementioned $1725 Coquette, or my $10,625 Stinger. The point is, tank griefers should pay the deductible when they blow up my car, especially if my car is parked and they blow it up/run it over just to be a douche.

who the hell said i ever used a DNS? My 263 LVL is legit. I have over 41 days play time on my character. And i did avoid the tank. i went passive, and jumped from the parking lot to a roof where he couldn't get me. so he decided to be a douche and blow up my car which he should have paid for.. He drove right past the car to kill me and when he couldn't he basically said "f*ck you, you don't want to get killed by me? fine i'll just blow up your car." that is the epitome of griefing imo. And for the record, i went passive when i got out of the car, a good 30 seconds before i even saw the tank or knew it was there.

Its your right and privilege for being a tank owner and spending the big bucks ($1M) and achieving L70. (plus the $200 per use fee covers it).
