Schismatist
One thing that made this come to mind was everyone talking about how Liberty City should be added to GTA Online, but honestly, I think I'd actually like to see Liberty City return in GTAVI, though not just as the only city. Supposedly, in the beta of GTAIV, the entire game was to feature Liberty State as opposed to just Liberty City and Alderney, however, this didn't make the cut. It'd be interesting to see a game with three cities just like San Andreas, that is separated by countryside and highways, only it would consist of a new city(maybe Boston?), an expanded Alderney, and Liberty City. What do you guys think? Do you think that we should just see an entirely new map or revisit some old areas?
BLOOD
Hmm what an interesting thread OP,i would also love to see the 4th Re-imagining of Liberty City but with the entire Liberty State.note when i meant 4th it (2D Era,3D Era,HD Era and the Next-Gen Era)supposedly it would be a continuation the HD Era.but at the same time,i think with the 15 games neatly arranged in 3 Universes (Eras),Rockstar might use Next-Gen to introduce players to new Locations (city/state) around the U.S and Vice City getting an HD Re-imaging would complete the 3 Gen Renditions of the 3 Old Locations (LC,SA and VC). I'd like to see Rockstar slowly divert their attention from the coasts, that way generations from now we can have a map that spans from Liberty to San Andreas. : P
Hodgey.
No. Liberty City has been done enough now to the point that it should be laid to rest for quite some time. There are plenty of other cities that R* can choose from going forward instead of revisiting old ones. universetwisters and Blennerville

Re-imagining of the series' 3 Old Locations in different Universes (Eras) is the Franchise equivalent of milking annual games.but look at it Liberty City in 2D wasnt the same as in 3D or even HD.same goes with Los Santos (and the HD San Andreas).Liberty City is the Spiritual Location of GTA,just like how Mario and Luigi are to Super Mario or Kazuya is to Tekken.Even though we dont see a re-imagined LC in the next two/three future GTAs i am sure there would be alot of references plus it would probably be re-imagined again.plus we dont know what Rockstar could be planning for GTA 4's 10th Anniversary in 2018. I agree that we probably get a re imagined Libert City if the GTA series is still around in 20 years time but like you said for the next 4 - 5 GTA games I just dont see it happening. Great reply bro.GTA would be 20 years in 2017 (1997-2017) less than 3 years from now.I am sure it would go on for another 10/15 years afterall just 17 years of it existance it now a Giant Franchise in the Gaming Industry. Omnia sunt Communia
We've seen Liberty City eight times already (GTA 1, GTA III, GTA LCS, GTA A, GTA IV, GTA CTW, GTA TLATD, GTA TBOGT), it's time to visit somewhere new. Rockstar did a great job of mimicking New York City in GTA IV. I don't know what more they could do that couldn't be achieved in another city somewhere else. universetwisters
If I ever see Liberty City again, I swear to God I will strip naked, jab pre-lit Sizzlers into my eye sockets, and run around a highway during rush hour. OT: I'd like to see 1980s Vice City in HD. That's be lovely.

Give them something to talk about in the retard home.

Mental Patient 2: No. Mental Patient 1: There was a brief scene of a guy with a Hawaiian shirt. Mental Patient 2: Mother of god, It has to be Tommy Vercetti! If it was a midwestern city the I think Detroit is perfect as right now it is in trouble and crime if high. I would prefer a few other places before it though. Mr Oraange
Isn't it just better to explore new cities and landscapes? I can't see the point of remaking the same place(s) over and over while there are many different and nice locations to explore that haven't ever been done... Look at what V did to San Andreas. It took 3D's San Andreas, turned it into HD, and added a boatload's worth of new locations and jankity jank. Sure, it was a reused location, but Rockstar made it seem as though it was new. OT - San Fierro. Edited February 15, 2014 by Mr Oraange

OT - San Fierro. Exactly, and the best part is that SA in HD Era is split into two Islands (North and South) but GTA 5 only represent the Southern Portion (LS and Blaine County) then imagine the Northern Portion? That why the HD Era still has alot of Old Cities and Newer Ones to Revisit.I am Sure in future Liberty State would be Re-imagined including Liberty City and other Unknown Cities. Gnocchi Flip Flops
I would love to see a re-imagined Vice City. Honestly I never understood the anger towards revisiting locations. Common sense tells you that each time a city is revisited, it will be 90% different and the vibe is different too so it isn't exactly like we're seeing the same thing over and over. Calm down people. Vice City and the Keys with freeways in between would deeply interest me. The Mediterranean themed rich neighborhoods with expensive car culture, the water, the condos, long beaches, balmy weather, the ghetto areas that should allow a lot of lower car classes, the music. It would be lovely.
