Crazyeighties
I think I have lost all faith in humanity, some low life scum bag stole from the non-profit organization I work with. Not only do they steal from the foundation, they stole from the people that being it from the foundation, they took hope away from someone going through the worst time of their lives. I don't know if my faith in humanity will ever be restored if it can. It makes me sick. Harley

Gnocchi Flip Flops
I'm going to lose hope in humanity if people keep saying they lost faith in humanity just because there are selfish people in the world as if they were too clueless to figure that out earlier! na89340qv0n34b09q340
018361
In my town people will often steal the donation jars that are placed around the town in restaurants. I'm not saying that I have lost faith in humanity, but it certainly does seem to be going down hill. There is hardly any sense of good will. I think we need more positive influences to promote goodwill. The next time you have the opportunity do something good for someone. Maybe, just maybe you can be an influence on them and promote good will that way. One thing you often hear is " what would Jesus do " but I think that it would probably mean more to you if you used someone you know as an example. Then maybe through your good actions you can promote the goodness of man and have some saying to themselves " what would bill do? " or " What would Jim do? ". EphemeralStar
One time two homeless guys came in and stole the giant donation bin for children's hospital at my workplace... it was really big and also VERY heavy that when I went after them, they had only made it just out the door but one of the dudes saw me and ran away leaving his other buddy to carry it. LOL. I could literally speed-walk and keep up with the dude, but I let him go knowing he wouldn't get far and went back in and called the cops + my told my other coworker to go after him. It was too heavy for the guy that he ended up dropping it and spilling all the coins on the side walk of the street and he also ran away, but later was caught by the police. It makes me sad that people are that desperate.. I also haven't lost faith in humanity because of something like this, that's very pessimistic imo. Which makes a "hotter" news story, A kid saving a hurt dog in the street, or a guy that shoots his family and takes his own life? GunWrath
I'm not a religious person but I remember as a youngster, acouple friends and myself used to always ride our bicycles at the First Baptist church near my house and they always left the door unlock and once we went inside to find a source of water but instead we found some baked brownies and gatorades in one of the fridges, so we ate brownies and drank gatorade like kings. I'm not sure if that makes us low life scumbags but perhaps it was a gift from a non-existent god? I don't know.. but to this day, when I ride by a church or especially that one church in particular, that same memory pops in my head. Anyways, that is f*cked up that they would steal things especially for a charity organization but that's life, people will steal and there will always be people like that.. being you guys are a charity firm, just chalk it up as experience and await the next contributions you receive. After all, y'all are charity, so think of it as gifts to those who needed it most.

Black & White
Yeah stealing from charity is worse than the holocaust! What? The point is that someone stole stuff from a charity. Those things may do good for other people in the world. Stealing is not the way to go around things.
Osho
I can understand that for a moment anyone's faith will be a bit shaken from such an untoward event. But, If one starts to lose faith, then how can you hold faith in anyone or even yourself when such incidents test trustworthiness with you. Do you always give up too easily? In this case, to the scumbag by "loosing faith" and not sticking with your own virtues STRONGLY. Just try strengthening your faith, and that's all Those saying humanity is going down by such actions are being idiots too. Its always been low, it hasn't been getting any worse than it has been, get over it. Well, you like calling others silly, idiots a lot. People like you don't help much either to restore any faith rather lose by default. Edited February 10, 2014 by Osho

Those things may do good for other people in the world. Stealing is not the way to go around things. This man said that this happening made him decide that humanity was sick. On the galactic scale of bad things, I think the holocaust trumps that. So why would you have faith in humanity when something like the systematic destruction of life occurred, but have your sense of reality smashed over poor people stealing things. I mean sh*t, the charity will claim the money back on insurance anyway. The Odyssey
Oddsock
You ought to remember that many more people work and volunteer at that NGO than there are people who steal from it. If you choose to focus on the bad, then surely you'd lose your faith in humanity. It hits us much harder and we pay more attention to it, but you can't live in that bias.
