Massive Console Bans Not Permanent

I'm sure by now you've all heard about the massive console bans that happened a week or so ago by R* but from what i have been reading on other sites is that even though R* banned there consoles it's not a permanent ban and that the people who were banned will only be banned untill Febuary 14th when R* will lift the two week ban.

 

From one of the sites i read that if it was your first offense of being banned you are only banned for 2 weeks, second offense is a month or so and then the third offense is a permanent ban.

 

So what was the point of banning them was it to scare the "First Time Offenders" so they don't do it again?

 

I doubt it's going to really stop them, They may not use a DNS again but it's not going to stop them from glitching and everything the only way to stop them is to do a permanent console ban so the only way they can play GTA again is to buy another console and start all over from the very start again.

 

They should have made it a complete and total permanent ban instead of temporary so if these people are correct all the cheaters will be flooding back to GTA in about a week so enjoy your some what cheater free sessions untill then.

It's been on R*'s support forum in the posts if you can catch them before they're removed.

For DNS kids and modders, it DOES need to be a permanent ban. It's complete bullsh*t that they only get two weeks, then they'll be at it again.

2 weeks is plenty of ban time. they will be rehabilitated by then and able to buy cash cards

I've had a few messages this weekend whilst on my xbox from other users telling me they have money glitch sessions on the go. I pretty much just told them to get lost.

last night i ran into a crew of players with a regular circle over their heads and a passive circle at the same time. then all the under level 70 guys spawn tanks and start running the blinking godmode crap.

 

all these little kids need a permaban from gtaO. they shouldnt even be playing this game to begin with.

should follow the same laws as tobacco. cant sell it to kids, cant buy them for your kids.

Rockstar's subtle way of saying 'We Love You!", lol. Jokes asides I doubt that 2 week rehabilitation will really do anything. I mean, these people were bad enough to actually go out of their way to start modding! What's stopping them from exploiting the game again besides another ban? Perhaps i'm just being a skeptic, but I just have a hard time believing in Rockstar's policing system.

I think 2 weeks is fine for first time offenders. But only if the actually back it up and hit repeat offenders hard next time. otherwise what's the point?

 

Did R* remove the money this time? Have they EVER removed any ill gotten RP? I just don't feel like they have any backbone at all.

Agreed... these guys who get banned aint gonna learn... most of them are 12 and dont have an actual sense of right or wrong and feel that they can do as they please because its only a game... rockstar needs to start cutting down on hackers permanently so that the game can be played normally without having to worry about dick bag hackers

Well it was a 2 week ban that started on Friday January 31th the day the DNS came out and two weeks just happened to fall on February 14th don't think it was planned

On another site that we all know about there was a thread by someone saying he was unbanned 5 or 6 times. All he did was send in a support ticket or whatever and lied.. "I was in a session with a hacker and because of that I was banned". Something very generic like that... and each time they lifted his ban.
