I still play GTA IV Multiplayer and enjoy it greatly.

Are free mode lobbies still flooded with modders?

V online is great because PvP never gets old for me.

Reasons why I enjoy this game:

1. I play my own tunes on the XB360 while gaming.

2. The driving mechanics are incredible fun and cruising around the map is enjoyable.

3. All the work put into the environment makes the game beautiful and I find myself stopping or driving slow to admire the small details all the time.

i haven't played gta online seriously in like a month, don't think I can ever go back. It was like the only game I played when it first came out but I grew bored and naturally I moved on to other games. Annoying as hell getting invited to sessions though.

I spent the entire afternoon maxing out my Lung Capacity & Strength stats. Pretty hilarious what NPCs say just before you knock them down - it was a fun afternoon spent, LOL.

The people that hate this game and go around saying C* are some of the most pathetic people on the internet. Bitching on a fan forum of a game you say you hate but still clearly play all the time doesnt make you a troll. It makes you a moron.

But on topic, i play about an hour one day a week and a few hours on the weekend. I wish i had more time to play because i really enjoy the game..

So much to do on GTAO. Car meets, missions, deatmatch, survivals, races. Vast and detailed world to explore. The vehicles! The list goes on

Firstly, thanks for sharing a positive post. I'm tired of all the whinging too.

On the topic of Gang Attacks, you said it helps with ammo? I found the opposite. My crew did a Gang Attack day this weekend and cleared out all but two of the gang attacks (couldn't find two of them) and I actually used up my whole ~9000 stock of rifle bullets. Others in my crew reported that replenishing their ammo was in the order of $40k.

I got a bit sick of GTAO, but I have nothing better to play and there's nothing better on the market imo.

Waiting for Watch Dogs to get me out of my misery. Followed by The Elder Scrolls Online.

You guys are awesome; great to see the positive replies in this thread, but it also given me confidence I can bring a bit of positivity myself. This is also why I enjoy being on GTA Forums than most places on the internet, best forum I've been a part of. :)

Take my advice: do not use anything other than a pistol and a shotgun. If you're using Assault Rifles, Machine Guns, and other powerful high fire weapons it can easily deplete them. I suggest using them very sparingly (i.e. out of control firefights with difficult navigation for cover). Personally, I use the SNS Pistol and the Sawn-Off Shotgun, but you can use any weapon in those categories so long as you don't abuse a lot of the ammunition, pick your poison. The reason I suggest these two weapon types is because the crates contain various weapons and ammo and can be useful for clearing out gangs using very few bullets, but using more high-powered weapons can make you lose more than you will gain.

While I was doing gang attacks, I noticed my shotgun and pistol munitions going up. This was obviously because I picked up the crate contents and looting enemy bodies for munitions and money, which bring me to my other tip: when solo, be sure to lure the enemy to a similar spot, and aim for the heads with the pistol while using the shotgun for close range combat. This will save ammo but also make a gathering of bodies (bonus if you're the kind of person who enjoys the sight of genocide), which makes it easier to grab their loose change and ammo. Eventually, the munitions make bigger stock. During my regular attacks (a few a day, possibly 6–8 attacks every in-game day), I notice the shotgun and pistol ammo going up along with the others, as well as grabbing other weapons.

I love the Combat MG, but I save Assault Rifles and MGs for more heavier combat.

Why? There's nothing special about them, at least right now. There's nothing lucrative beyond rank 120. [citation needed]

Check their stats; most of them have the shooting skills of a blind guy, the stamina of a carton-a-day smoker, and the driving skills of a 2 year old.

Just don't worry about them.

higher rank more health? just wasn't fair to the low LVLS in that lobby

anyways they were all in the same lobby even people were backing out calling them on their crap

I just got done playing some GTA O before I'm off to bed.

I had this bounty of $9000 on my head, and a few other people had bounties too. I called up my buzzard and hunted them down, then once they were all gone, someone came to collect my bounty. I shot them out of the air, then I switched to a Luxor to try to fly away. Suddenly the same player came in a buzzard and shot at me. I was dodging every rocket until I got too cocky and was blown up. He texted me with "GG" (good game, in case you didn't know). I texted him the same thing back, but with a smiley face at the end. He came and picked me up in his buzzard, added me as a friend, and we started to collect plane drops together, started hunter other groups of players, and ended up fighting against 2 other players for control of a parking garage. When our buzzard went down, we both parachuted down together, shooter at the police below us with our guns.

Man, it was one HELL of an experience. How can you NOT love this?

Yeah, when I have traded a few fair kills across a good spirited chase, and then we both end up just standing there, looking at each other with our guns in our hands, no microphone, just each privately acknowledging the fun we had, and there is time to text a message saying "good fight, man," yes, actually that is how I made a couple of friends also. :^:

But the 90% situation is that I'm minding my own business, and some asshole goes out of his way to come over and kill me and then kill me some more - strangely enough, that's not so much fun, and no friends are made that day. :/
