Has anyone managed to implement the unused gang strength of 3 in a gang war mod beyond those old PS2 codes ric-013 and I were messing with? Below are a few of my old notes on the matter. The increased gang strength adds a little variety but doesn't significantly alter the difficulty of the war.

Gang strength of 0, rival density of 1 to 14, armed with bats, 9mm pistols, Micro-SMG, and SMG

Gang strength of 2, rival density of 30 and above, armed with Micro-SMGs, SMGs, and AK-47s
Gang strength of 3, not seen without modification, armed with SMGs, AK-47s, and Desert Eagles
Gang strength of 4 crashes loading 3rd wave
Gang strength of 5 crashes loading 2nd wave
Gang strength of 6 crashes loading 1st wave

Hey Silent,

I'm using your mod in combination with TTDISA. It works for the most part, but sometimes since I've completed the mission that enables Gang Wars, my game randomly crashes.

 

I've tried to remove your mod for the time being and the crashes seem to have disappeared, but I've also noticed that Defensive Gang Wars suddenly started to happen, while I didn't have any when I had your mod on.

 

So my guess is, the crashes were caused when a Defensive Gang War happened. Do you have a clue why that could be? Or is it just the general "TTDISA doesn't work well with other mods" case here?

I had the same issue but it stopped crashing after I completed the final mission for some reason.

hey Silent,

i like that this mod make also all other gang colors appear on the map, sad that this mod make my game crash while its loading

(all other mods from here works fine - maybe there is a conflict with a other mod from here)

 

what this asi file direct do ? i want to know if there is a way, to edit the file that just the other gang colors appear - with no other changes.

than i'm able to place the other gang members with the savegame editor - and than all other colors appear, until now just the 3 colors (green, purple & yellow) appear.

AFAIK, if you own 100% of the territories (including from the gangs unlocked by the script), enemy gangs will no longer invade your territories.

Also, enemy gangs will only invade if their territories are directly next to yours.

hmmmmmmm? any other opinions.

Unnoticable

Hey, recently I made GANG9 into an actual gang and I can see that it works with your mod perfectly, and I added a zone color (a HEX value in your ExGangWars.ini) but for some reason they still appear colorless on the map. Is there a way to fix this?

 

EDIT: Whenever GANG9 tries to attack my territory the game crashes. I think this is because there's no icon to display on the map for them. Is there a way to fix this?

How do I give turf to gangs like the Mafia, Triads, and Gang 9/10? I can't find any program that works properly while doing these.

 

I also tried to give territory to Gang 9, but they all wore blue headbands. What's up with that? Shouldn't they be bikers or National Guard or something? Or is this just a bug with the program I used?

 

EDIT: I figured out how to edit the pedgrp.dat and other .dat files to make Gang #10 into the biker gang, but how do I make Gang #9 into the National Guard? What ped is the National Guard soldier? What .dat file changes would I have to make them into Gang #9? Thanks for any help you can give.

 

Since in the actual story line the Ocean Dock Soldiers share the same model with the army, I don't think it's possible to make them gang members because it will change their stats which could possibly result in a crash every time you get 6 stars. What you could do is find the soldier's .txd and .dff files from the gta3.img file in your 'models' folder in your GTA:SA directory, (you need an IMG Editor to do this) copy them to your desktop and replace any ped you don't like in the game with it. This will change the ped you chose into an army soldier so there are 2 of them (even though they have the same model) so you can edit the stats of the second one by using any stat editor or manually via the peds.ide file in your data folder. Then after that, to put both Gang #9 and Gang #10 into the game and give them weapons, you just have to write a simple CLEO script with Sanny Builder which should have came with your CLEO. You can also set whether they like, respect, ignore, dislike, or hate another gang. To do this, just copy this script and compile it. You can add more zones or change my example with the zone map. (Link below)

That was an example of a simple script. Also something you should keep in mind that in Sanny Builder, gangs start at 0 instead of 1 so Gang #9 is Gang #8 and Gang #10 is Gang #9.

 

Also, you can use Savegame Editor to give territory to gangs 1-8 or give / change their weapons more simply than making a CLEO script.

I can't run this mod without crashing. Based on the timing, it seems to crash when the "Our Hood Is Under Attack!" message is triggered. If I drive around for a few minutes it crashes but it runs fine when I remove this plugin. I'm currently using these mods (everything beneath ModLoader is handled by it):

I have "ColouredZoneNames" enabled but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm confused because none of these plugins change gang behavior (as far as I know). Am I using the wrong exe? (it's the one required by a lot of mods) or maybe I've got something set up wrong. Silent Patch is the only mod that changes a wide range of things in the game but you made it, so I'm assuming it's compatible :D

Can you make The Triads and The Aztecas friendly to the Grove Street Families, CJ, and eact other? I mean what was the point doing all the missions for Cesar and Woozie, then to get attacked by the same gang you helped?

You may want to take a look at this mod. Although some people said it has a bug in the mission "Los Sepulcros".

 

EDIT: Also the Aztecas only become friendly after the mission "Los Desperados", and the Triads after any Woozie mission.

Thanks, I will check the mod out, and I know that you need to complete the missions to increase the respect and friendship between the gangs, but the only reason the Varrios Los Aztecas will be hostile to you even when you help them take back all of their territory form the Vagos is because R* is lazy, same goes for the Triads.
