As everyone here knows now, its fixed.

Another issue that has been dealt with was the reset for updating. It no longer resets the play/like count after updating. Good news for us creators.

sh*t! about time! can anyone else confirm this? ive only seen the two posts in this thread, but id hate to lose all my likes.

 

 

I can confirm, edited several deathmatches for PS3, no likes/dislikes or "played" were lost. Interestingly however, the jobs are sorted by the count of the "new" likes or "played" on RSC, so a job with let's say 10 "played" count can actually be shown in front of a job with 300 "played" count now when you sort it by that criteria.

Agreed .. not all about getting votes. But it does make a creator feel good to get likes. It also helps to give an idea what people think of it, even if it isn't entirely accurate. Let's you know if people are bookmarking and hosting too, this being the conformation that you've created a map that at least some enjoy and want to play again.

 

Edit* - If you want votes .. all you need to do is throw a bunch of crap in the middle of the road, add ramps to launch everyone into billboards and give it a name including the words "Easy RP" and you've got a winner. Oh, and it also helps to make a YouTube video of it. (Not serious here folks, just for laughs)

So many bugs in the Social Club...its a shame because it was a really great idea in my opinion.

 

Stupid sh*t like verified tracks claiming to be published 14 years ago just goes to show some serious lack of caring about some functionality details.

Just went through my bookmarks and noticed most the race like% had dropped by 10-20% i think it may be a bug though

one of mine for example grand senora speedway 165 likes 16 dislikes 213 plays should be 90% approx likes i dont think they include no votes it says 83%

Numberings at 79%! the original anyways

Any one else got this?

Yes,I got this.% dropped by 10.My Air Race has 10 plays-11 likes,shows %89.Sniper deathmatch had %79 yesterday but now it's %69,with same votes

As of this morning the social club seems to have gotten an update. I have a sudden influx of plays and votes, my creations are all listed in proper order based on likes and in general it seems a lot faster on my phone.

Confirmed here too, I was starting to worry that perhaps instead of resetting votes for edits it now just takes a % of your feedback off, looks like it was just a bug though !!

I suspect this has something to do with playlists and no votes. My Dirty Donuts track has 68 likes, 0 dislikes but only 51 plays. It is rated at 90%. Obviously first you see that there are more votes than plays.This is because when a track is played within a playlist the play goes to the playlist not to the track. The votes however do register on the individual tracks. I know for a fact there are some no votes on this track as well. What I believe is happening is that no votes, some of which having been recieved during a playlist and thus not seen are being added to the dislikes and the combined number is representing the negative side of the equasion. So the math on this track is 68 likes divided by 0.90 rating which says my true total of plays is 76 with 8 no votes. The rating is figured as likes divided by total plays...68/76 is .8947 or 90%.

 

EDIT: If there were dislikes on the track you would subtract them from the result (8 in the above example) to get the no votes.

Same for me but I would hope that plays are not added to the equation for the simple fact it would skew ratings too much.

Likes divided by plays is the percentage. But you have to do the calc above to get the true number of plays...the number they are showing is not correct.
