Does the thermal and nightvision scopes have less zoom and range compared to the advanced scope? Do the targets and other players render at longer ranges with the advanced scope compared to the night vision and thermal?

I'm not sure about that.

The thermal and nightvision use SNIPER_LOW_ZOOM_AIM_CAMERA as Camera Hash (Default Camera hash for Sniper Rifle), while Advanced Scope uses SNIPER_AIM_CAMERA (Default Camera hash for Heavy Sniper).

I would say yes ? but I'm not sure.

Ah OK sorry i didn't see your post. I need to know if on console specifically the Xbox if the rendering distance and zoom level is less. If it is i think that having the extra range with the advanced would be better?

You are looking at raw damage not DPS

advanced rifle is still better than assult rifle mk2

When it actually comes to raw damage, the new Assault Rifle MK2 has 40, while the Advanced Rifle has only 34. That means it needs one less bullet in order to kill someone over Rank 100 (So, 9 bullets required). The Carbine MK2 effectively needs the same number of bullets as the Advanced Rifle (10), which should make it better than the Special Carbine since they have pretty much the same ROF. Can somebody answer on few questions?

-Muzzles,are they all same?Except look.

-Heavy sniper silencer, any difference with or without?

-After gunrunning did they change silencer stats or they are still same?

-What about other new weapons upgrades?

Maybe the wrong thread, but people here seem clued up - so here goes:

When you hit a Hydra with a homing launcher, often it doesn't explode on impact - unlike helicopters. So that led me to believe the Hydra's stronger than stuff like the Savage.

But with the explosive sniper rounds, the opposite seems to be true. One hit seems to rip off the tail fins and all that of the Hydra; whereas one hit on a helicopter doesn't always seem to kill it - I've seen them taking 2 before a third one explodes it.

So, can they make weapons stronger against some vehicles than others or something? What's up with this?

The helis still get smashed up ridiculously easy, don't get me wrong. But not quite as one-hit-kill as the jets are.

Comparison:

homing launcher would of been better in that situation

Does anyone know if the thermal scope has the same or longer range and or rendering distance than the advanced scope?

For thermal, yes. You can see the red dots further while they are invisible to normal scope.

Haven't tried night vision scope but i have used night vision googles when sniping which i think is pretty much the same and no increase of rendering players.

1- Yes except for the Heavy Sniper Mk2.

As it uses Squared Muzzle Brake and Bell-End Muzzle Brake, they are more effective.

2- Not sure.

3- Still same

4- The ones we have are the only ones.

Is the max zoom the same as the max zoom on the advanced? No,same zoom as standard scope,5x.But you can see people through bushes and buildings and walls and anticipate when they gonna peek so imo its worth the zoom sacrifice. Edited by Edgelord

Advanced is 10x

Does Zoom affect rendering distance or how far before your bullets dissappear and no longer do damage?

Sound and AI's "hearing range" only.

It should also significantly reduce the distance at which you pop up on the radar of enemy players during PvP game modes iirc. Edited by TheIceWarrior

What benefit does the higher Zoom give then in theory?

If I have really good mouse aim, always aim at the head, and fight against NPCs 99% of the time as opposed to other players, which of these 5 options is the one I should go with?

1. Assault Rifle MkII with Silencer

2. Assault Rifle MkII with Muzzle Break

3. Carbine Rifle MkII with Silencer

4. Carbine Rifle MkII with Muzzle Break

5. a different weapon in that slot

What makes the special carbine with suppressor and drum better than the carbine rifle mk2 with silencer?

Can you not equip the drum magazine for the Carbine Rifle on the Mk2 model?

Is that something else RSG shafted us with - not being able to put all the original magazine types on the new weapons? Hmm.

No you can't

Hmmm. "Hey we increased the damage of these weapons a tiny bit - let's make sure you can't use 100 round mags with them".

I know people joke about RSG's logic, but it really is bad.

So I was enabled access to edit the spreadsheet originally created by this dude "Mike Overbo". There may still be some omissions or errors as the last update was apparently from 1.37. If anyone's interested enough to check it out - if you do spot any mistakes, be sure to let us know. Thanks.

There's some information about the various weapons that's omitted, that I'd like to include - but I've started my own spreadsheet for that just in case I'm "stepping on toes".

How is the advanced rifle more accurate than the rest according to the stats but in game it's less accurate than the special carbine?

Yeah I'd love to know the answer to that too. There's probably other relevant information now shown by this table, but across the board, there seems to be a lot of statistics that don't change.

Faster rof and more bullets

Would the Special Carbine still be the best if I were hitting them in the chest most of the time and at range? What would you recommend at medium - long range for putting the AI down faster? I'm sure the Advanced Rifle feels better for some reason in the game (maybe range?), but I also don't know if I should invest in any MK2 rifles or not? Any help is appreciated as rifles are the only ones giving me trouble.
