6 3/4th minutes of some guy talking (likely with an annoying accent from some part of the UK) about information that could better be written in a much more concise format.

I'm just going to leave this here.....

 

Interesting...

 

- Carbine w/suppressor 8 shots close, without suppressor 8 (no change).

Long range 32 shots w/suppressor, 31 without suppressor (its possible that the other player wasn't in exact same spot and that is enough to change things since weapons lose damage gradually the longer the distance).

 

- Pistol 8 shots close (how is that possible? Pistol damge is 28, carbine is 32...), 10 shots w/suppressor (that makes more sense).

 

- Sniper (same)

 

- Shotgun (too inacurate to perform long range testing)

 

Ill have to look into Pistols to see how they perform at long range, but i did test them at damage drop range (40m) and there was no difference. Anyway, why would someone use a pistol at long range?

I only tested the Heavy pistol and the AP pistol at long range both against a level 503 player and a Sandking. The results were clear, there was no difference with or without suppressor.

I did get an inconsistent result when i used the AP pistol without suppressor (it was taking more shots to kill) but that was probably because the target was so far away that the poor zoom-in wasn't enough for me to tell if i was aiming at the chest or arms, im pretty sure thats what happened in the video. I always test things at least 3 times.

Yah I was thinking that 1 extra shot for the carbine must've been lag. I just don't want to add a suppressor if it has any negative effects in which I'm trying to figure out for myself but the results are inconsistent. My rule of thumb is to keep them off of my try hard weapons like the assault shotgun, special carbine, ap pistol, marksman rifle. Those guns I use when I need to inflict maximum damage. I battle high rank players daily and often it will be a 1 or 2 bullet difference who determines who will win the battle.

 

Especially in roll spam battles, whoever can inflict the most damage wins those. Combat MG is terrible for that because it's accuracy is terrible whenever you try to fire it when your not zoomed in fully and moving around.

There is no reason for not using a suppressor other than on Marksman rifle. The only value i see on using suppressors is on TEAM deathmatches, regular deathmaches (free-for-all) i like that other player know my location so i don't have search and end up in a cross fire. Tbh i don't play deathmatches as i used to, now when i do get myself into a fire fight its usualy in free roam. Weapons i use differ from lobby type:

 

Auto-aim lobby - Assault Shotgun, Combat MG, Marksman rifle, Heavy Sniper

Free aim lobby - Combat Shotgun, Mini-gun, Marksman rifle, Heavy Sniper

 

For roll spammers in auto-aim lobbys i just tap the aim button it will reset the lock, they end up getting killed mid-roll, in free aim however the most consistent weapon for headshots is the Special carbine because of the ROF, but generaly speaking i avoid mid-range fights if i can and go for the extreme, close range of long range.

 

Sometimes i get players running for a weapon-melee 1 hit kill at close range, when that happens i change to a melee weapon (e.g. knife), that negates the weapon 1 hit kill and changes it to a weak melee attack.

 

I also avoid run & gun (moving and pressing the fire button only), weapon spread increases too much, especially the MG's. Instead i hold the sprint button (X on PS3) while aiming and moving, you get the same run speed while keeping max accuracy. However, i do notice that for some reason the Combat shotgun dosen't lose any accuracy (pellet spread increase) while run & gun.

So what does the suppressor do in deathmatches besides hide you on the map?

 

I see a lot of hardcore tdm AR only crews run suppressors and when I ask them they claim less recoil. I play tdms in first person and maybe there's less bounce in the scope in first person?

I haven't heard of any changes to the weapons so I'd doubt there's any updates to the weapons.

Well I don't know how melee weapons do damage so I didn't add the knuckles because the damage value is set to 0.

Was any other changes made to any weapons? I know they changed the savage and homing launcher but not exactly what Wes changed

What happened to the homing launcher last patch? I noticed I can't lock onto air vehicles anymore that are controlled by players. Is this a glitch?

Cargobob usually survives two. It is badly smoking after the 2nd hit, but you can still bail out.

I don't think the HL was buffed. I took a couple head on missiles to lazer and was able to fly away or bail before i went down. It's business as usual as far as damage goes but they reverted it back to locking on everything again, which is a plus.

 

The heavy sniper, on the other hand, seems to do about 50% more damage. Maybe the hit boxes seems smaller too.

There's no changes to the weapons meta file.

If they made changes then they will mention it in the patch notes.

Kinda, it has fewer bullets and a slower fire rate, but it's decent.
