I don't necessarily follow her work or anything, but I do like her portrayal of a character on a certain show I like. The Matrix being one of my favorite films, I've always kind of felt that I liked the Agents better then the actual characters. I liked their calm demeanor while handling violent situations. Once again, like my previous avatar, I do not know much about this man other than he was a great singer. I have two of his songs on my iPod. One of which was featured in GTA IV. The other is about alcoholism. The thing that attracts me about the photo is that the photo is so vivid with its details. He's a black man in America. He has an afro and he has this look.. That look of being effected by something, but not letting it overcome him. And... honestly, that's kinda what I can identify with. I too am a young black man in America. I don't have an afro, but I have been effected by things in my life. But.. i'm just not done yet. I cannot let them overcome me. I have to trudge on. There's gotta be an end goal to this life, and there is. I just have to "grind till' my time's up". And also, Gil-Scott sang about drug addiction and alcoholism. I never got addicted to drugs but he has this certain sound to his voice that I really can identify with. A certain yearning for wanting to be a better man but something is really clinging onto him.
