780 would be worth buying if you are playing on a higher resolution than 1080p. For 1080p GTX 760 is enough (more than 2GB vRAM needed for a higher resolution)

I jizzed in my pants. I bought a 780 and have a 1080p monitor. So gonna crank up the settings even more higher for the eye-candy.

I didn't even expect anything from retailers. The thing is, they can't confirm the release date, they can't say anything about it. It's as stupid as asking on twitter when GTA V for PC will be released. The thing is, actions shows what is happening at the moment. If retailer had this decision that they will be taking pre-orders from this Friday, then someone made them to do that. What made them to do pre-order thingy from this Friday? Why not earlier?

It's just if you are expecting to get some kind of announcement of it from retailers or twitter, then maybe you are too young for GTA games.

 

Yesterday that Swedish retailer confirmed pre-orders, the same day Amazon removed GTA V from their list. This can't be just a random thing going on.

And what I don't get is why people think it'll happen immediately after Take Two's conference, where they tell investors about the next financial quarter. Are they just going to leave out news about a big PC announcement/release that quarter in the conference?

Whatever, it's the first screenshot that matters, that reply is from Elgiganten.se.

They are basically saying "We don't know when/if GTA V PC will be released, but you'll be able to pre-order it from our store on Friday, just in case."

That's just the minimum and I bet it'll play GTA V on about medium settings. Not to worry though, I'm building a new rig soon and here are its specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX

GPU: EVGA 04G-P4-3768-KR GeForce GTX 760 FTW

RAM: G.SKILL 16GB 1866 DDR3 F3-1866C10D-16GAB

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

With a 4GB graphics card and a really nice CPU, this thing will definitely play GTA V to the max settings. And yeah, I'm not getting Windows 8. I'm happy with 7. I tried 8, sucked, so I'm sticking to 7 until they manage to scrounge up something far better.
