If the PC was the lead plattaform and not only a port, the city will have much more details respect consoles versions. Also, i think that will be much better than watch dogs

Yes, ok ... we know that. Wath_dogs and GTA5 are very different games.

GTA5 is a open world with missions/objectives/quest.

WD will be an Open & Free world. We will choose our missions. The real risk of this game, the real danger of this game is indeed that "random tasks" become repetitive.

(but Chicago has nothing to common with this small "Los Santos").

But overall, it is subjective to say that one is better than the other ... Each person has their preferences.

But it's nice from you to take care of R* by saying that WD will be worst (without knowing how the game will be really). It's very much appreciated because this encourages them to ignore us more.

Anyway, the games will be very different, but for publishers/distributors, there isn't difference: Money and market share.

For example, when I say my next "GTA5" will be "Watch_dogs" ... I know the games will be very different, but there is no difference in my wallet.
We wait GTA5 since too long now (since 5 years!), And now, for me it will be GTA5 or WD .. first come, first purchased.
If GTA5 is out before WD, so I buy GTA5 and WD.
If GTA5 out after WD, I only buy WD (because R* will reach the limits of my wiiiiiiiiiiiiide patience..... but, maybe I will buy GTA5 when it will be on sale for €12 max on steam in a few years).
Of course, i know if I am alone TTWO doesn't care, but if millions of players do the same TTWO/R* will think about it ... before taking us for fools with their next GTA6 (or R* will look only toward Consoles.... but it will be a very bad choice for the future....).

On Wikipedia the release for WD was changed from Q2 2014 to May 2014.

We've got people saying March, others saying April and now May on Wikipedia.

This is no better than the guessing game with V. I guess we'll just have to wait until we hear from the sources themselves.

But whoever makes the first move is the first one to get my money.

As long as Rockstar delivers a solid, good PC version with fabulous optimization, all will be forgiven. But likely not forgotten.

Same with Watch_Dogs. I'm hoping it has solid optimization, because its specs worry me thus far.

This announcement needs to happen in February, though. Otherwise, Rockstar can wave the PC ship goodbye as it sails out of the money port.

Tomorrow's Newswire headline:

San Andreas comes to Windows platforms in more way than one, Newswire employees fired for wasting your time

Could happen.

Let's consider 'what if' situation(s):

1. Watch Dogs clash could be problematic.

But, if Ubisoft officially set a date, we may see announcement confirming our date.

Imagine the post "GTA V is coming to PC". In the newswire will be at least 10 comments per second :)

No no, this is pretty good I would say !

It's the 6-th post in a raw showing useless stuff and more seems like, something boring now, then come with something bigger.

There is a chance for this week but I'm most certainly sure (if they really aren't mentaly retarded) we will finally have our news next week .

This week will be endless, feels that have 14 days instead of 7

What's up, is me @AmandaSaxV, just to let you know that i'm also active on gtaforums!

Amazing friend, this is a nice site to talk about the pc version, because in the neswire is impossible and the social club looks like a dessert. lol

Yep, anyway, did you here about this?

I hope this mod will get released soon, and the PC version, soon after!

It already sailed, gonna pirate the hell out of it, even if they crack it after 3 years, I'm gonna wait until then.

Sure go ahead and miss about 7.5 parts of the game offline... Seriously if V got released Ill buy it cause of online and those stuff, when you say you'll just pirate it you're one of the reasons to delay the game and to complain about missing stuff .

Yeah, that will show them. Rockstar already believes the majority of us are pirates (Lazlow mentions it in his conference speech video) hence why the game is delayed as it is. We already have an uphill battle trying to change this ignorant view.

Ok people we don't want to know how you are going to "pirate the hell out of it". We had enough comments of this type here. Do it if you don't want to enjoy the online content.

When did he say?

Can you provide a source?

If Rockstar thinks that the PC community is full of pirates, why did they release the MP3 PC version right after the console version?

Holy golden chair! He said something so real around 13:40 , "Mostly PC games come ported from consoles or come many many months later" , and that actually happened so it could be that delays are from torrenters...

It starts around 13:40

What a crackhead,no wonder why R is saying sh*t about the PC version,if they all think like this guy ...like they have not made more than they deserve just on consoles, crying about 20%-30% of pirated copies that wont even effect them.

He said something worse "hard to find PC games"

No sh*t when they treat us like this, it's their problem. I'm also gonna pirate the game to play the story and free roam until I decide to buy it.. And just because they are not providing the right amount of info.. I don't care about their financial loss then because they didn't care about me as their customer.. I will only buy the game on sale because of online

Talking about pirating the game is against forum rules. So stop with that sh*t, or reports will be made.

The attitude of some of you in here is absolutely pathetic. "Rockstar hasn't given me the PC version when I wanted it, I feel inclined to rub it in their faces by pirating their game."

If you're going to be pirating GTA V PC because Rockstar is taking their time on it (which is a good thing BTW), get the f*ck out. Rockstar doesn't need to tell anyone the PC version is coming, they have every right to stay quiet. Considering how long they've stayed quiet, we can probably expect a very well-polished game that's nowhere near the likes of GTA IV.

Can't wait any longer? Wipe away the tears you cry baby, there's a lot of good things in life you have to wait a very long f*cking time for. I am confident GTA V PC will blow every other PC game out of the water, and we already know for a fact it's going to be absolutely BEAUTIFUL in terms of graphics.

In other words, CHILL THE f*ck OUT EVERYONE. GTA V PC is coming. Now stop crying and telling everyone you're going to pirate it, you're f*cking pathetic if you pirate GTA V for that specific reason. It makes me sick.

Well, the piracy dominated most of the pc players some years ago. But now it's different. It has proved that the pc gaming market has been rising. I am one of those examples. When I was younger, I used to download all my games. This is a shame, but I had a different way to think. In other way, every f*cking thing here in my country it's too much expensive. A simple pc game here is the double of the original price. But has been years that I buy all my games from Steam (thank God) or some retailer. Because another problem from my country is that the physic game takes too much time to arrive or never comes. All my games are original now. So much better.

We are not allowed to talk about how to pirate a game but we are allowed to talk about the topic pirating in general. Why would it be against the rules?

PC community full of pirates? Lol, like there are no pirates on consoles. There are as much pirates on consoles as on PC. The real reason for them not to release a PC version is because they get more money from consoles and are too damn lazy to make a good port.

And to be honest, why haven`t developers made it so that you can`t pirate the PC game, why haven`t they made it so it is a living hell to crack it and wouldn`t just get cracked within an hour after release? Once again the same answer: lazy as sh**. It`s easier to say: "Well, PC is full of pirates, there is nothing we can do about it, so F you".

Maybe when Steam Machines become more mainstream and SteamOS (that is based on Linux) will be the main if not the only PC OS that will support games (with some exceptions to older titles and stuff), maybe then we will see some tricks from Valve and devs to actually take this problem seriously and try to fix it instead of just going "Well, that`s 10 minutes of anti-piracy coding, I give up, lets move on to making the new DLC"

The "always online" DRM is a good step forward to solving the problem, but there are some changes to be made.

Yeah. They are blaming us for wrong reasons. At least, it's not an ideal reason. Console titles may be less affected but there are reasons for it. These games don't support modding, they pass through strict DRM checks both by consoles and the Publishers to play.

In other words, PC games are more in numbers for illegal downloads though some games receive a lot of negative reception as well. Good games or Developers releasing quality titles or have a history of good production values are safe, since any one who can afford to buy a console or PC system to play them will definitely buy, provided the game's worth it.

For ex: CDPR Developer in comparison to COD titles.

On the topic of piracy, however, I feel that Rockstar needs to add additional DRM to their game.

Non-intrusive and somewhat lenient DRM that slowly and methodically brings the carmageddon to an illegitimate save file. Friction slowly melting away would be the most amusing "fade" anti-piracy measure out there, f*ck that drunk camera Toyota sh*te. Possibly something to the tune of adding -0.1 to friction for every car for every minute played.

Then again I suppose you don't want people illegitimately downloading the game to see if they can very quickly beat the game, or at the very least how far they can get, before it becomes unplayable...

On any note, I love creative anti-piracy measures as long as it pertains to in-game wonkiness and the actual protection isn't more intrusive than Steam DRM and isn't prone to breaking. Hope they do something creative with GTA V.
