I now really think it is Take Two who decides if and when announcements wil come. They own R* AND 2k games (borderlands and bioshock) also they are a stock market focused company. So i think not R* but Take Two is to blame here. I wish R* was independent, then we already would have got GTA V.

 

Also Colin Sebastian tweeted a prediction that TAKE TWO will announce PC version first and later on the NG version. Also he said that there will be a sequel to a big franchise which i think is a new Red Dead Redemption. And this guy really knows something, analyzing the interactive entertainment industry is his work.

Today I ordered new PC parts. MSI H87-G43 Gaming, i7-4770, GV Gigabyte GTX780GHZ and 16GB 1600MHz CL7.

I could have chosen only one HDD of 1TB and reduce the RAM to 8GB and get the 780Ti for the same price

but meh, if it's just a few % faster than the regular 780, I couldn't be bothered to get the 780Ti.

So I added another HDD extra of 1TB and 16GB RAM.

 

Should be more than fine for GTAV.

That's a lot of money, but that motherboard is pretty cheap.

 

I'm guessing that the socket 1150 is only for Haswell because Ivy and Sandy use a completely different socket right?

I was hoping to get at least an i5 3570k because they're ($10 cheaper ) but i'll be buying into a dead end. Well, I'm hoping the 4670K will go down by the end of the year. I need to upgrade for Star Citizen.

Actually not really, after all it was around 1500 euros. I replaced the Intel stock cooler with a beast of a Noctua NH-D14.

The R9 290X does costs exactly as the Gigabyte 780GHZ edition and other parts were cheap too. I also got a nice case: Fracta Define R4 black.

The motherboard is also cheap indeed. The first build I had in mind was around 1800 euros.

Thanks to AMD with their R9 290X cars Nvidia reduced the prices of the 780 by a lot!

The EVGA Classified was 700 euros, now 539 euros and Gigabyte 780GHZ 519 euros

 

You don't have to wait. I wanted to get the 780Ti but if it was only 10FPS difference average, I'll be saving the money for a new GPU after 2 or 3 years.

It is kind of a win-win situation. Just get the 4670K and play the games you want at nice resolution and high settings.

They both are nice CPU's.

 

Well, I'm not sure if they are different but the Haswell are more power efficient.

No need to get a beasty PSU.

Still waiting for some of my parts to ship into the country so I can assemble them properly.

 

So far, I've had to downgrade from the FX-8350 (AMD) to the FX-8320 3.5/4.0 GHz, 8-core (Due to general supply unavailability in my local area), but I heard it isn't even that much of a downgrade once you overclock.

 

Still going for the 780 Ti, on the GPU side of things. And 16 GB of RAM.

 

Should be set for "next-gen".

Sure, but I wish I had 1K to spend. I already have a good case. What I'm hoping to buy in upgrades is an SSD to have Windows and a couple of games on, water cooling for the CPU, maybe a GTX 770 at the least, and faster+more RAM. That'd probably be just under $1000 if I shop smart.

If you can get a nice CPU cooler, you'll be overclocking it to like 5GHz. It is indeed not much a difference between those 2.

I could had ve had the 780 Ti but removing one HDD and reduce to 8GB but 8GB is too less for 3D editing, Firefox and Photoshop at once.

I got error about that on my 4GB RAM. And I want plenty space of room, for hentai lol

10FPS difference is not a big deal. Why not get the 780 and the money for a great GPU upgrade after 2 or 3 years? Nvidia Maxwell should be released by then.

SSD is kind of waste because games won't get any benefit from it except in loading times of Windows and games.

Other than that, get a HDD and use the rest of the money for a better part. That is smart shopping:p

GTX770 is also a nice GPU.

Ok ... I don't post for a few days because I didn't find anythign relevant except for that analyst prediction of RDR2 and V for PC. But someone had it posted so no point on going back there. At this stage and based on all I've read so far I think Rockstar... I mean T2 have the V announcement on hold waiting for UBISOFT. Believe it or not they do care about competition and currently WD is their direct opposition, people in here think no one cares about it just jump over a WD forum and you'll see it isn' very different from here, lots of speculation, comments and a constant fight against GTA V (Yeah there are a lot of fanboys there that can't stand V, specially with Rockstar tactics).

Anyway, a lot of sources point to a March release, although other articles say that UBISOFT will have to delay again, not that was officially announced but withing the suplliers circle that were expecting it for that date. But far as it goes UBISOFT didn't said a word and I bet that is what is bothering T2.

Anyway, in the past weeks the PC news are going viral along many of the big sharks and each day more and more articles are about V on PC, all the leaks and rumors, at certain point they have to say something, although it is starting to be a common thought that the game will be released soon (they don't even mention announcement). I found another website, it's most likely another place holder but they say it will be delivered before the official launch date, which they specify. Could they be relying on a supplier of Internet rumors? A way or another if they are selling the product they know it isn't too far or that at least they know it exists:

Anyway, the reason I decided to write again was because of a small finding. I mean I found this months ago but there are new developments and seems that everyone missed it. people keep looking for Grand Theft Auto and such, but forgot about what i said last time and that's where the news are.

Remember when I said I searched for "Rockstar Games" and there was some recent changes in that "group" back in September?

Well it seems recently became active again, in fact very active, it was changed 21 days ago, then 14 days ago and again 13 days ago, the last time it was active was 5 months ago:

But now notice this:

It is visible for the community although it says: "section_typeownersonly".

So what is this group that was created about 1 year ago, been getting changes but we don't know what it is yet? But most important why is this "GROUP" categorized as an "App Type: Game"?

Nice setup.

If you really want to upgrade the GPU, get the GTX780. GTX880 will gonna be too damn expensive in the beginning,

especially because of a new architecture: Maxwell.

That's hard to happen unfortunately (or not). Some analyst pointed that the delay of WD by Ubisoft was because it was "in the road to failure". But imo WD is going to be a very very nice game.

i Never thought i would say that : I would Love to See WD kicks V's ass ... they Really deserves it.

I also had the Same Feeling Deep Down that WD isn't that Good but I watched a 14 Minute gameplay Video of the ps4 Version today ( you guys might know this Video Already becouse its nothing New) And I Must say , Pretty impressive. this Baby looks damn Good .. the City is Even more detailed as V And the car Handling Looks much better than the sh*t Rockstar did with V.

If the PC was the lead plattaform and not only a port, the city will have much more details respect consoles versions. Also, i think that will be much better than watch dogs

R* is Take Two ... R* is a multinational video game developer and publisher.

TTWO (NASDAQ name) is considered as a publisher, but it's a holding company (owner of editing and development companies) in charge for the worldwide distribution.

 

 

The term of "prediction" is funny (at last when it doesn't threaten the economic stability of the world ......).

This kind of people are seen as oracles, as gurus ... or as messiahs .... by a bunch of morons graduates (degree purchased by Dad & Mom)

 

Their job isn't to make some very accurate predictions. Their job is to "troll" to make money = Tell the people when investing in a market

= This is speculation.

 

It does nothing than to speculate on GTA5 .... like us here.

The reality is that stock will increase in value only by that tweet (or not from announcement from TTWO or R*), because some people think it is an "oracle" ......

 

It's really not difficult to make predictions like this. whenever the stock reaches a peak, then it's likely to decline ... then just do a stroke of "troll" to encourage people to continue to buy (and raise the value ... or at least, retain its value).

 

Then it doesn't really take risk in his prediction .... not need to be a Harvard graduate to know that (we all know here ....).

 

 

Then, when looking at the stock price on the Nasdaq, we see TTWO has gained value in launching of GTA5 on console (of course). Almost every single "peaks" match with various rumors launch on PC / NG .

 

Any Guru / oracle of the Stock Market, knows what to do to push market speculation on this stock:

Just watched Second son, and by the looks it's great, much better than Watch Dogs and could be the same if I had to imagine V on Next-gen.

It surely gives a nice glimpse of how much better it will look on PC compared to .. Y'know!

Don't judge it until it's actually released and more substantial gameplay is available.

I've pre ordered it, so I'll be enjoying it on day one. Meanwhile you'll probably still be sitting on here talking sh*t trying to stay on topic of the PC version of V that still wouldn't have been announced yet. I'll also be enjoying Star Citizen's dogfighting module (if I'm any good, but it'll make good practice for the persistent universe), and I'll be looking forward to playing that new Middle Earth game as well. I'm not just on here sitting on my hands hoping that Rockstar who obviously loves neglecting a large portion of their fanbase, announce the PC version of their latest title. That's just me. I love GTA, but I love to play other games too. Maybe you should expand your horizons and stop being so bitter to things that haven't even been released yet.
