  1. 1. When do you expect the announcement?

    • March 3rd - March 10th
    • March 11th - March 18th
    • March 19th - March 26th
    • March 27th - April 3rd
    • Later...
  2. 2. How many more weeks until the release (after the announcement)?

Recommended Posts

I can add a poll about the release date. Any additions? Maybe a poll about when you think the announcement will happen? A guesstimate of the system requirements? What do you think?

It's up to you, guys. Any ideas?

Yes I have realized it's GFWL , tought it may help you with something . I asked them if they are 100% about the release date , still waiting for a answer .

It's a placeholder, if you're expecting an answer from them, who don't even know the release date nor even anything about the release themselves, you need to stop being gullible and gain some intelligence.

IMO There's no need for a poll.

Why? It's not relevant to speculate until we wait for the upcoming take-two meet.

I believe we can expect some indications to whether we will or we will not?

I wonder what comes first,WD or V ? Guess only time can tell....

At this rate, Watch Dogs is coming before V.

Nah seriously, I really don't care as long as the time span between announcement and release is only 2-3 months, as was the case with GTA III, Vice City and Bully.

Hey guys i just registred to share a info that i just found .

This is one of the best Romanian Gaming/Electronic Stores , if not the best . http://www.altex.ro/grand-theft-auto-5-pc . Release Date 15.03.2014.

March seems a little too soon to me. April is the earliest potential release month, in my opinion, because that is the start of the next fiscal year of Take-Two.

Why the hell would the price go down before the game is even out? And no one even knows if its coming to the next gen consoles ffs. How many gullible people are there?

The first and third images seem very pre-rendered. The second one, though...

Don't really know.

They are all pre-rendered. It's obvious.

Well apparently R has something much more important to talk about than announcing the PC version or giving a sh*t about us ,yes its Crew Cut: Chain FU*KS of 2014.

So what do you think about this theory that game will be announced and released in tuesday? I checked it, previous games were also released and annoinces in tuesdays, so what about 28 or maybe 4?

That is just pure guessing and nonsense. They are unpredictable is all. Yes, usually games are announced Tuesdays but it doesn't matter. If they are deciding to release it, February whether it's the mid-late, then they will have to announce it this month. Otherwise it's later.

Well, Rockstar cockiness towards PC players is really something they should've get rid of, it's not like we want free games from them or something, we just want simple announcement of the game if they want to milk console players it's fine with me, but god damn it's already several months after the release of the game and there's not even a clue when we should expect an announcement. Damn, I still remember last years expectations, we were almost 99% sure they're gonna announce the game in 2013 and what happened? Yeah... Everything about Rockstar cockiness towards PC gamers is explained in following text:

We just simply doesn't want to be treated like a 2nd class citizens, to those people that are cursing at R* there's no reason to do that, they need to realize that we, the PC gamers are on par with console gamers, it's not like we are not buying games and just pirate it, people would be surprised how much PC gamers contribute to developers(ex. Star Citizen.) if they are treated like they should be. R* sadly is a perfect example of how you shouldn't treat PC fanbase.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Romanian and Slovakian sales website links.

They've got GFWL on the top. GFWL is being discontinued this summer I believe, and I think R* said they wouldn't be using it again anyway before that was announced. The retailer has simply photo shopped that to drum up some interest. The French site posted above isn't even if full cover, they've just chopped the PS3/Xbox360 header off the top. R* will most likely use their Social Club application as in MP3 and La Noire as a gaming interface for a PC version of V.

This scepticism of what the retailers are showing doesn't mean I believe there won't be a PC version arriving in the next few months though :)

can someone speculate about system req for GTA V ?

Well, it would all be guesswork, but for LA Noire it was:

  • Operating System: Windows 7 / Windows Vista Service Pack 1 / Windows XP Service Pack 3 / OnLive for PC or Mac
  • Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.2GHz to Quad Core 3.2GHz / AMD Dual Core 2.4Ghz to Quad Core 3.2Ghz
  • RAM: 2GB to 8GB
  • Hard drive space: 16GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1536MB / Radeon HD 3000 512MB to Radeon HD 6850 1024MB
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9 Compatible
  • DVD Drive

For Max Payne 3 it was

  • Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
  • Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ or AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ, or better
  • 2GB System RAM
  • NVIDIA® GeForce 8600 GT 512MB RAM
  • or AMD Radeon™ HD 3400 512MB RAM

Although for MP3, to play it on high, they R* recommended:

  • Windows 7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
  • Intel i7 Quad Core 2.8Ghz or AMD equivalent
  • 3GB System RAM
  • NVIDIA® GeForce 480 1GB RAM
  • or AMD Radeon™ HD 5870 1GB RAM

You'd expect V to be more resource hungry than MP3 because it is newer, and Open World. I'd suggest probably 6GB Ram, and a graphics card a couple of released further forward from the ones quoted here, but that's guess work.

If IV is anything to go by, I would make sure you've got a rig comfortably in excess of the RECOMMENDED specs (not the MINIMUM).

Maybe they will have the V Requirements as the console's specs and the recommended to something like:

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad-Core 3.4GHz

512 MB ATi Radeon 3870/ 512 MB NVidia GeForce 8600GT

4GB RAM

50GB of Disk Space for the Game.

Just throwing random thoughts there though :p

BTW I think a poll about the release date(not announcement) should be added again.

Not true. For Rockstar, there are four categories of System Requirements.

Seriously, I dream with the day I jump into the lake from the train bridge, in my PC. I had a PS2, and Xbox 360, so I'm not some kind of pc fanboy, but yes I'm more likely to pc. I will not buy a console only to play GTA V, although I wish.

Why does it matter so much what's in this thread? You've closed it multiple times, put grown men in time out, and it did nothing. Just let the "master race" fight over fake screenshots and "cockstar"s business plans.

If I have some money to spend, I'm gonna get a PC so I can finally play an ultra amazing, bad ass, mod filled GTA.
