I seriously doubt that. Consoles will be cheaper then those steam machines. Plus, have you ever heared of "name recognition". Most consumers go with the brands they have seen or heared of before. Everyone knows what Xbox and Playstation are. Most people have never heared of Steam before.

Test it. Go to a store or a park or something and ask people. You'll see that I'm right.

 

I rather just stick to my PC and real console, tyvm.

 

Steam Machines are sort of marketed to those who have consoles, not those who already have PCs.

 

A Steam Machine like CyberPowerPC's (i5, GTX 760, 8GB RAM, 500GB storage, $499) can definitely beat out the Xbox One, if not the PS4, if everything is done right.

 

 

Exactly! Sure I might not buy a Steam Machine because I`ll build my own PC in a year, but this is a serious competition to XB1 and PS4.

 

Imagine this situation: it`s, lets say 2020, Windows is no longer a gaming OS for PC, SteamOS is. So what happens? Steam Machine become the new thing, the cheapest model is the same price as a console and is more powerful, and it`s not only a console, but also a PC that you can use to surf the net or write your homework on. + you don`t need to pay a subscription to play online, and on top of that 3-4 times a year huge sales pop up where most of the games go 50-75% off. If this will be the case and R* is still going to delay GTA6, then I don`t know what the hell are they doing.

 

More on topic, maybe this is one of the reason we still haven`t got an announcement yet, they are porting it to Linux as well since, Steam Machine are just around the corner

I'm sure he meant "the gaming OS for PC," not "a gaming OS for PC."

 

At this moment, DirectX (Windows) has the biggest grip on games, so it's much harder to be a gamer on Mac (although why would you want to game on Mac) or Linux.

Microsoft would just start throwing money at developers if they would try to move away from Windows to use a different OS as their main OS.

Simple trick:

Youtube Thumbnails are stored at http://i.ytimg.com/vi/VIDEO_ID/1.jpg. Insert then video id "4lKHdgPu9bU" and there you go.

I found for a few days ago (was it thursday or friday?) 2 new things on the channel. One new add for the GTA Online Favorit List, and the other add i didnt found. But today, i come back, looked at the GTA5 Playlist, and there is it :D

Yeah, they haven't uploaded any livestreams before. The RockstarGames channel is for trailers and the such. Maybe the livestream video is being hosted off a secondary or fan account?
