Because R* has requested all game shops to dispatch the game at the 16th. They don't want people showing off the story before release again.

Recent previews have confirmed that cockpit view is NOT in the game.

F*ck guys, I just had a head-collision, where Luis was ejected from the car through the windshield and......the car went over him and killed him. It is so annoying, so I am wondering is there any way to avoid this in gta5, like putting a seatbelt? I have read some reviews, but I don't remember such things mentioned.

I have a few GTA V questions. Most of them are GTA Online-related. If these have been asked & answered, my apologies. I just don't want to read this entire thread to see what I'm missing. I want to also apologize in advance for the amount of questions I'm about to ask. I'm 100% sure there are plenty of you who know enough about this game to cover most of these, so I figure I might as well ask them instead of reading various articles to find the answers.

 

Will vehicles run on gasoline or will it be like older GTA games where the only way cars stop working is by being crashed a lot?

Will the vehicles we purchase in-game require maintenance? I ask because insurance can be purchased, so it'd be cool & add to the game's realism to require maintenance for purchased vehicles.

 

From what I understand, there can be up to 16 players in one online session. Say that 15 are getting along, but there's one of the 16 who is annoying everyone. Can the other 15 boot that one person out? I know about the "bad sport" stat, but I want to be sure that if someone is ruining everyone else's fun, it won't be like most other online games where we either have to deal with it or we all have to leave, which will then make the troll think he "won" and continue doing it to other people.

 

Another question about the "bad sport" stat: what will be the punishment for someone who gets that stat regularly?

 

Also, will there be a "good sport" stat for someone who is easy to get along with online?

 

Has Rockstar revealed whether or not we will be able to create our own missions besides races and death matches? For instance, will I be able to set an objective for players to achieve in a mission, set enemies in various spots to prevent players from achieving the mission too easily, and set the rewards for finishing the mission?

 

Will cheats, such as ones ridding wanted levels, be usable in Online play?

 

Can we burglarize homes like in GTA: San Andreas?

 

Lastly, I have a mic, but I do believe there will be times when I just don't want to play online with one on, such as say late night gaming when the wife is sleeping. If I'm in a heist and I want the teller to bag the money quicker (or any other feature in the game that would make use of the mic), will there be an alternate way to do this other than yelling into a microphone?

I'm pretty sure it will be like previous GTA's. As far as I know, filling gasoline hasn't been confirmed in the game.

Insurance is only there to re-obtain cars you might have lost or destroyed.

I'm not sure if it's been confirmed, but I think a kicking system has been implemented, like in GTA IV. So yes, if there are 16 players and one of them is ruining the fun, the other 15 can most likely kick him out of the game.

According to what I've read, yes, the "sport factor" goes either way.

We only heard about death-matches, sadly. It wouldn't surprise me if they added the ability to make co-op missions somewhere later in the future, though, at least it sounds like a brilliant idea.

Nothing about cheats was mentioned until now, but Rockstar is saying they are taking heavy precautions against hackers and modders, so unless if it's in some specific game modes, cheating online will most certainly be unavailable, just like IV and Red Dead Redemption.

Maybe not in the same way as in San Andreas, but it's been confirmed you can invade and rob other people's properties as long as they are online. It will go on lock down when they exit the game, though.

@Kinobla Seatbelts have not been mentioned in the previews.

@Vasilis200 Most likely no for the single player, but we will be able to enter cars as a passenger in the multiplayer, just like in IV.

@DwnShftXcelr8 There is most likely no petrol system in the game.

You can get insurance to get back lost or destroyed vehicles.

I don't think that we can use cheats on GTA online (legitimately).

Public transport feature might be available in co-operative missions. Also, GTA Online should have this feature.

Haven't played GTAIV, but have a question about car spawning.

Back on PS2, when I was play San Andreas, certain cars would always spawn in the same location. So, say, I'd want a Cheetah, I'd always be able to go to a certain corner and find one.

 

Are the car spawns more random than that now, or will a Cheetah always pop up on the same street corner no matter time of day?

I like beaters that are fast. Kinda like a sleeper but hoopty looking. I'm wondering if they'll let us take a car that is a hoopty and add performance parts to it w/o having to repair the body.... like in Saints Row 2?

 

Almost certainly, no reason to get rid of what they had in IV. Now, not getting cleaned is a different story, and I can't give an answer for that.

• laser pointers

• grips

• handles

• extended magazines

• different gun colours

Fishing hasn't been confirmed, and I don't think denied, though you do get fish in the game.

They seem to be doing the release of V differently, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't release the map, especially since there's 10 days to go now.

I'd say it's likely, considering your character can wear a helmet normally. Edit: look at Hatchetman4200's post 2 posts down. Yeah, you can.
