you have a lot more patience than i do. i grinded the f*ck outta this mission and CCIII for abwout a week getting me from 70-90 and i dont think i have done either one since then.

CCIII was a little better bc i was going for RP and it paid a lot more in that aspect. but wow Coveted got so old...

Are you around at the weekend, Bullitt? If so, I wouldn't mind doing this a few times. I'm level 89 at the moment, but want to get to 90 and beyond, plus I need another $150k to get my Adder (if that's what I choose to buy).

Doing Coveted alone as part of a playlist (3x CCIII and 3xCoveted) the other night, for some reason the cargobob pilot didn't land. I'd been quicker than usual killing people, didn't move any of the Grangers (or blow them up) so I have no idea why he stayed in the air. I got in a boat and left the area but the cargobob followed me. Shot it a few times, threw sticky bombs at it, none of which destroyed it. I tried grenading the container plenty of times times but that didn't seem to do any damage. Ended up killing myself twice to fail the mission. Sadly because I was in a playlist and my buzzard was parked ready for the next CCIII playthrough, I couldn't even call my own cargobob.

 

Anyway, the RP for Rooftop Rumble is way more than Coveted for me (I do Coveted on hard, but usually alone, not killing everyone and not free-aim because I never remember to swap modes) so it's a far more efficient way of levelling up.

Sure, will do. Yeah, I have both of those. The Felon is quite possibly my favourite car - it looks understated, it's cheap to replace if it gets blown up, and I seem to be able to cover ground in it very quickly. I've had supercars unable to keep up with me getting across the map before when they've been chasing me down. It also sounds ace - nice V10 engine sound. Oh, and you can steal them and keep them, so you don't even have to buy it in the first place!

 

I know you have an Entity, do you have an Adder? If you want we could swap cars and test drive a few of each other's cars. The Exemplar is nice and one of the cars I use more often. I also like the Jackal - it's not as quick as the other two, but damn it looks good (and is the cheapest to replace).

 

I also have a Super Diamond and a Vacca, if you want to try those out. I use them less though, because the Vacca is only 2 door and the Super Diamond is very tail happy and attracts too much attention in free roam.

Probably not - tonight is housework night, unfortunately. Time to tidy up my man cave ready for the weekend gaming session. Also I'm out tomorrow night now, so Saturday will probably be the next time I'm on.

 

P.S., whilst you were replying I added a couple more cars to my last post. (Super Diamond and Vacca.). All the cars I've mentioned are maxed out, except armour, because I'm only level 89, so can't get 100% armour yet.

I just want one super car and although I prefer the look of the infernus I am sticking with the entity for now...traded in my carbo and roosevelt.

Love the carbo but handling is loose.

I was considering a Carbo myself. What are you replacing all these cars with? My thoughts for getting the Adder was to make it quicker to get from one end of the map to the other if I need to shoot up the freeway for any reason. However, everyone seems to like the Entity. I'm not keen on having cars that are too common though, and every man and his dog have the Entity. Maybe I'll buy the Cheetah and Infernus with the 1 million instead...

Carbo for feltzer...same great engine sound and better handling...roosevelt for 9F cabrio...I would.take the infernus over the cheetah as the back is bulletproof.

I don't find the 9F handles very good. I tend to end up going round in circles - way too twitchy for my liking.

 

I'm not keen on the Infernus from the rear, which is what you spend most time looking at, but I like the ability to use a two tone colour scheme.

 

I also have a Sandking XL, a Coquette, an Akuma, and an Elegy. Tried to get rid of the Elegy the other day though as I never drive it - took it out for a quick drive and realised how much it understeers. Thten realised that you can't actually sell it - grr!

You're better off getting yourself a buzzard and playing Mixed Up With Coke. In single player you can get 2500-2700 rp and if you're in a crew or multi people in it, you can get it up to 3500rp quick as, heaps quicker than coveted I think. I haven't timed my self but I think I've got it to about 2 minutes completion. With 3 others who know what they're doing you can probably get it down to 1 minute a round. Twice as much RP pretty much means getting to your target twice as quick.

I've beaten Coveted well over 1000 times. Both legit, and the short way (which is now patched).

 

The secret weapon to not getting bored is:

Alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. It helps putting on some good tunes too. I suggest putting them right on the XBox itself, so you can still listen for audio cues and what not.

ballpark figure, I'd say roughly about 4-4.5M

 

got 1.1M in the bank, bought a tank, entity, Roosevelt and all the valentines dlc and a few car upgrades...

 

last bit of grinding should add another 1.5M to that..

 

That should pay for a Monroe for my 2nd character, maybe a Roosevwlt too...

Its a nice cruiser and looks clean IMO...you can test mine out saturday

Agreed...James and I did coveted and it R* may have given the enemies sniper rifles...not sure though

I found that the other day - I was with some randoms and we failed the mission where you have to steal the planes and deliver them to the docks 3 or 4 times in a row. They were idiots, admittedly, but I diEs every time from two shots hitting me from a direction where I didn't expect there to be any enemies. It's like R* have increased the enemies' accuracy and they go for headshots now, so you're dead before you can retaliate. Maybe they just increased the difficulty level on Hard?
