Everyone saying 2015 I really don't see it, at that point they might aswell forget about it as the real next gen games will start rolling in meaning more competition, which potentially means less sales. This is the perfect time to roll out next gen ports as people are starving for new good games to play on PS4/XB1 meaning this is the timeframe where people are most likely to consider double dipping on games they have already played to death. That is why tomb raiser and now the last of us are being re released at full price, to take advantage of such a golden opportunity. I am guessing though that it won't come out until this single player DLC has been released so they can do some sort of game of the year edition to raise the game back to full price, but knowing R* that dlc could take a while. GTA V was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in September last year, and went on to ship a staggering 32.5 million units worldwide. Mokrie Dela Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I would not buy it due to the fact that I do not own a next-generation console nor do I intend to purchase one within the next year from a business point of view I can completely understand why Rockstar would release a port onto the next-gen platforms. There's no doubt it would sell well and would likely hit the top of the gaming charts for a single console release in addition. For this reason I believe that Rockstar would make a large profit in releasing a version of Grand Theft Auto V on the next-generation consoles and in the money-obsessed society that we live in I think it is likely that Rockstar will in fact release it within the next year or so, possibly within a few months of a PC version should it ever be released. This. But i hope they don't. I hope they instead focus on GTA VI and make the game that I, personally (and please note this is my opinion, not fact), wish V was. SUPER ULTRA PHOTOREALISTIC ENB ICE ENHANCER HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS FTW!!!!!! #YOLO #SWAG" Fanboys (Most are in their early/mid teens)... I aint buying a PS4/XBOne because they are not fully realised yet (I wait a few years before I buy the Newest Console, as do many others.) So yea... I mean it need time to prepare all marketing/retailers/advertisement although this is not really new game/title. I am not expert, but I am sure it takes time to do all preparation stuff. Like someone said just before GTA5 announce , it does need at least 6 months to prepare all marketing/sales/posters/adverts(and they was right). So ok maybe in this case doesn't need all that time, but it's hard to imagine like R* says yep GTA5 coming to PC/NG in 2 months or less. I think most realistic is Autumn 2014. They will put a trailer, and maybe a few building or bilboard advertisings and that would be all. 250m $+ was more than enough for making and advertising the game. I've been watching the screens from this guy... can't wait to put my eyes on PC/ NG version, after all I've been told I can't even imagine how greater it will be then this:http://ric4rd094.imgur.com/all/ I played SA for over 300 hours just for the fun of it, specially the chases and the off road driving... I think with V I'll be there forever. Hold on, we're closer then ever and the fact Rockstar doesn't tell me anything or even come to these forums do the usual tease is a good sign. The next months will be amazing in terms of games, with V being the ice on the cake. This is great after so many others completely empty. I just hope that you guys know how to appreciate all the effort Rockstar is doing (despite their secrecy) and buy the game once it's released, we need to show that we know how to compensate them when a job is done properly and this is either for PC or NG. They could have just stopped with the old gen title and start with VI already but they had a lot of work to also bring it to us in a higher level of quality, I know the wait sucks but good things take time and I'm happy that it won't be another IV. Their estimation was that they would make the announcement soon as they were done with the XB1. Their expectation was for the last week of April (28th to 30th April) or the beginning of May (1st May to 9th May). However if things kept going well (which seemed to be the case back then) it could happen 1 week earlier (21st April to 25th April). So this is the most realistic time frame to expect an announcement according to their projections about 3 weeks ago (last time they communicated with me). I was also told they wanted a very small gap between announcement and release as they said before. So it means the release could be after some week to a month after the announcement. So doing the math, depending on the date of the announcement, the size of the gap and the fact that they want to ruin the party of WD launch or wait till it's out and the heat goes down, the game can be released in May or June. So the rumors aren't so far off. Now what i think it makes more sense and if I was Rockstar was to release it before WD. I mean if they announce the game before WD release which most likely happen they shouldn't hold it for too long and if they want to get maximum profit they have to release before WD. Some people might buy both (I might) although they'll get the 1st that comes out and they'll play it till they are done with it and then wait to purchase the other which could mean they'll buy when the price gets a cut. So the smartest thing is to let's say announce the game in 21 - 30 of April and release it before May 27th, taking away the spotlight of WD and their profit. Specially because according to what I was told they are very confident that many people will forget WD once they see how V actually looks in this new release. So... it's Rockstar call now, they'll know what is best for them. But believing in the best expectation scenario, announcement could happen in about a week. Let's cross our fingers and expect that to happen.
