Their estimation was that they would make the announcement soon as they were done with the XB1. Their expectation was for the last week of April (28th to 30th April) or the beginning of May (1st May to 9th May). However if things kept going well (which seemed to be the case back then) it could happen 1 week earlier (21st April to 25th April). So this is the most realistic time frame to expect an announcement according to their projections about 3 weeks ago (last time they communicated with me). I was also told they wanted a very small gap between announcement and release as they said before. So it means the release could be after some week to a month after the announcement. So doing the math, depending on the date of the announcement, the size of the gap and the fact that they want to ruin the party of WD launch or wait till it's out and the heat goes down, the game can be released in May or June. So the rumors aren't so far off. Now what i think it makes more sense and if I was Rockstar was to release it before WD. I mean if they announce the game before WD release which most likely happen they shouldn't hold it for too long and if they want to get maximum profit they have to release before WD. Some people might buy both (I might) although they'll get the 1st that comes out and they'll play it till they are done with it and then wait to purchase the other which could mean they'll buy when the price gets a cut. So the smartest thing is to let's say announce the game in 21 - 30 of April and release it before May 27th, taking away the spotlight of WD and their profit. Specially because according to what I was told they are very confident that many people will forget WD once they see how V actually looks in this new release. So... it's Rockstar call now, they'll know what is best for them. But believing in the best expectation scenario, announcement could happen in about a week. Let's cross our fingers and expect that to happen. April 21st - 28th announcement and release mid May would be nice. Where do you think that I got in contact with them? Yes they know and the reason why they told me all this is quite simple. I had a source which they found out to be real, so they made a deal with me. If I didn't leak anything else they would keep me informed of what wouldn't harm them and that could keep the hype alive. That is the reason why they changed completely from what they've done in the past and why I wasn't instantly banned. Also because they know they can trust me otherwise I would have said a lot more that they asked me not too. I have the same purpose as them and I intend no harm, just want some news which they aren't allowed to tell for multiple reasons. But this small tidbits of info won't harm them specially because it's just rumors since I don't provide any proof of it, neither what I had since the beginning and neither my conversations with them. So this is a way to keep the hope for those that want to believe me or give me the benefit of the doubt and they don't have to say anything. This is not world wide news, but they have a big respect for some GTA communities and this is one of them, using their own words "this is a place where the hardcore fans are, that help us develop the game". So think about this as a treat from Rockstar and a sign of appreciation for all of our support. They are here on a daily basis, either as users, guests or within the mod team believe it or not. The NG revelation was initially done by a slip of the tongue (but don't worry he won't get punished) they didn't want to say a yes or no initially. But since we are in a stage where the game should have been out already they are OK with all these leaks, this way they don't have to make them themselves. The game will be a master piece I have no doubts and the wait will be totally worth it. I can't wait to fly to the store and grab my copy... I feel like I'm waiting for this game since ever, but this time it seems that they've done all I wished for when I first saw GTA SA. And I'm expecting every GTA HARDCORE FAN, to grab their copy soon as its available. Now speaking of NG versions, the PS and XB versions got that voice command to make the NPC's fill the bags faster, do you think they'll use any of the PS4 and XB1 gadgets features like this too? And if they do what exactly do you think they could do? S1LV3R_W0LF Posted April 13, 2014 Share Posted April 13, 2014 Far as I could understand it just detects noise, if you yell to fill the bag faster or talk about the weather the effect is the same, maybe it is based in the pitch of your voice, like a higher sound makes it act faster while total silence makes it go normal. But PS4 and XB1 with all the cameras and sensors have room for a lot of cool things. I remember Nintendo Wii that the pads also had sound, and was cool that in some games you would actually use the pad as a phone and heard the conversation from it. I don't know much about the capabilities of the tech from both consoles, so maybe someone that actually has one or both could explain them, then we could think about the possibilities and features. I remember instead of shouting on the clerk to fill the bag faster while robbing a store I used to blow air on my mic, and always worked like a charm. Same goes to "singing" under the shower for RP. So no awkward screaming in my room. As for the PS4/X1 motion features, I guess if they included anything exclusively for those it would be kept on a minimum. Hum I don't know that might be too much, not impossible but there is a lot of people pissed with the delay and some see this as an old year game and are already planning on waiting. As for NG sales there aren't many out there, there are some but not everyone will buy the game specially if they already played in LG consoles. But who knows maybe they show something that "hypnotizes" people and make them want to get it soon as its out. I don't wanna go offtopic so I won't post a link with all the upcoming titles for both NG and PC, but there are dozens of amazing titles coming in the next months. Rockstar not only is not holding the game re-release because of LG consoles/ content but also they don't have much space for maneuver so they can't keep dragging this, people will get tired of waiting and will find something new to get entertained with.
