about the bleuprint.

so when does Trevor Phillips industries become trevor phillips enterprises?

isn't that when he owns the McKenzie airfield?

http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/snapmatic/myphotos/photo/72Yu8WL7FEGFTH9yB0iwfg

there is just something about it...

and the notification begins with a big X and ends with 5 X's

I was just thinking about that last night. Why the change from Incorporated to Enterprise? And also, Mackenzie Field is the closest representation to the original locale of the San Andreas Jet-Pack Spawnpoint from the earlier version. But where is the grate to get into the underground base? There is also an abandoned scrapyard, and the Prison very much resembles Area 69 from SA, with its watchtowers, and heavy guarded areas. I think they basically scaled up the original map, and we prob have to find where the new Area 69 location would be in comparison to where it was in SA.

I've been thinking this since a long time ago. Regarding the blueprint map, maybe the 500k mystery only can be solve with the special edition disc. How many of you do own the special edition bundle?

Well, you guys are all like ''There must be something, so many clues they must lead to something'' but..where are the clues you all talk about?I mean only clear clues are the chiliad glyphs, and they lead to...Chiliad UFO.

Aniway, if so far there is nothing, and my idea about SS radio tower is already tried, i doubt anything is there. As many has said..most likely cut content.About the idea ''Rockstar would hide the easter egg in files, so noone can acces them''..erm okaai. So that means Rockstar is more interest in making Chiliad Mystery hard, and dont give a f*ck about Online, since almost anyone who wanted could get all the stuff they wanted, and ruin online experience for others?Doubt that.

And btw, keep in mind that Rockstar didnt made mural mystery..People (players) made the mural a mystery.Rockstar havent said a single thing about mural.

The tram and shed was a bit of a hype pre game launch. There were many many many posts "Whats in the shed" - original video - http://www.dailydot.com/entertainment/reddit-grand-theft-auto-v-gtav-shed/

hqdefault.jpg

Rockstar obviously knew about the hype of the shed and made it relevant with the mural. I really do not think it was suppose to be relevant, watch the youtube video its like a 1 second clip that has no significance. The internet hyped it up and they ran with it.

Now wither or not they actually finished the mural or threw it in desperately after the internet hyped it and never finished, thats another question.

My personal opinion is that they have created an expectation with the jetpack on the mural alone. And unfortunately when expectations aren't met folks feel let down, no matter how good the rest of the experience was. The kicker is if you take that jetpack off the mural this whole search doesn't gain as much traction, again in my opinion, and most are just happy they played a fun game.

Many feel there is another mystery to solve aside from the JP but clearly with it there on the mural for all to see it has caused an expectation there is something more. It's totally unnecessary. The game outside of this hunt was immensely fun. They went out of their way to create this "hype" or expectation. Failing to live up to it will leave a sour taste for some, no getting around it.

That is my biggest problem with this whole mystery... To me it is clear they meant to make it big and deep, but as the game file guys unravel stuff it is becoming more and more evident that the implication of the mystery is not what it delivers...

So far the game file guys are pretty sure the 3 UFOs are just eye candy that can not be interacted with and have no triggers. Likewise the Asteroid and the Alien egg appear to have no purpose, triggers or actions and are just cut content left behind (not a Rockstar first).

If it turns out they had to wrap it up before being able to make the whole mystery thing work I can understand that... they had to make a choice...

But-

• One: they should have altered or removed the mural... if there is no reward other than visual, it is misleading and that is wrong... you don't invite people to a treasure hunt where the first clue is a sign with a heart symbol, dollar sign and question mark followed by an arrow pointing to the left... which just leads to more arrows and eventually a drawing of cash painted on the wall... most people would interpret the initial sign as meaning "love cash ?"... "go this way" the picture of money would just piss people off and never be excepted as a reward.

•Two: The Benz should have kept his mouth shut and not bragged about how clever the easter egg hunt was and how players might never find all the clues.

The two things together created an expectation, conclusion or assumption that it is not unreasonable to see people arriving at... one to which one party benefits and the other is left feeling the fool.

Anyone who does not believe there is something to solve within the Chiliad mural and anything relating to it are more than welcome to throw in the towel in regards to their input toward this hunt. You are also welcome to create your own thread perhaps named "I don't believe there is anything to the Chiliad mural". This thread was created for believers. If you have lost the will yourself fair enough but please don't try to demotivate others.

No offence intended to anyone just logical really.

As with the existence of God, I'm doubtful of it but I also consider it illogical to completely deny the potential existence of something which can neither be proven or disproven. I think there's probably nothing more to be discovered at this point, at least where the mural "clues" are concerned, but my point is this...

If there is something more to be found, then I believe that it won't be found by following a trail of cryptic clues and performing a specific sequence of actions. It will be found by the guy who accidentally parachutes into a rock face while arsing about on the mountains and instead of waking up in hospital he passes straight through the rock into a small alcove containing a hidden egg, or by the guy who manages to find a unique phone number/web address etched on the wall of a zone that's well out of sight and only accessible via a crawl space behind an innocuous looking dumpster somewhere in the city.

And I just can't get all the references to red herrings out of my mind - "put a herring in it", the red fish bones featured on certain crates....hell, R* even held their GTA5 launch party at the Poisson Rouge restaurant, which I'm pretty sure is referenced in-game too (Pescado Rojo at Del Perro pier). So could the Chiliad Mural be the red herring? I think maybe...

The more complex they made this mystery, the bigger the trail that would have been left behind in the game code for the file hunters to expose the big prize. I think it's something very small and simple, but so discreet and tucked away in an unfrequented corner of the game world that it's easily overlooked by millions of players, and innocuous enough to escape the attention of the file hunters.

•Two: The Benz should have kept his mouth shut and not bragged about how clever the easter egg hunt was and how players might never find all the clues.

Somehow I feel he would not have bragged about this if it was simply just the chiliad UFO. "Comeback when your story is complete" all one would have to do is go to the internet, find out you need 100% and rain, I know thats not "true" easter egg hunting but in this day and age surely it was expected,

"players might never find all the clues."

The 5 glyphs is all we needed and the "comeback when your story is complete" Didnt take very long for all them to be found.

And what you said about the hype of the mystery shed, that they ran with it and threw in the mural to accomadate the hype, perhaps that is true, id say its very likely, and you are more likely to be right, but in true conspiracy thinking...it could just be as likely it was an internal conspiracy started by rockstar themselves to get the ball rolling, like how they were heavily promoting Epsilon before the release to go viral with its mysteriousness.

Something else that I've dredged up from memory is that during the task that Michael has in walking 5 miles in the señora desert for epsilon, you get a call from epsilon leader along the lines of walking twice the distance. I logged this at the time but obviously just did the minimum. Anyway, does any one else recall the exact message that Michael received and if what I recall is correct can anyone with a save game before the walk actually continue to walk around beyond the 5 miles to see if this affects anything.

no I don't think that's correct

I'm on my 4th play through and I'm at that exact mission right now I'll double check it

but if memory serves me correct

Cris calls you after you have walked 4 miles and tells you you are almost there and he is watching your progress

you received the first phone call at 4 miles

he does not say anything about walking five additional miles

he does however tell you at the end of the first conversation that you have 1 mile to go and and when that is complete you will have arrived where you are

whatever the hell that is supposed to mean

when you reach 5 miles he calls again

Michael starts off by saying (while breathing heavy)

"Is it over? am I finished yet?"

Cris replies: "your journey has just begun"

He then asks Michael: "Have you cast of the cane? Have you observed your inefficiencies"

Michael replies: "I think so"

Cris says: "Good then they no longer exist. You are ready."

to which Michael replies: "Ready for what?"

Cris says: "To make another investment in yourself and you should bring a generous tithe to the Epsilon Center in Vinewood and he will receive you personally."

nothing about walking five additional miles or anything hinting to that in my opinion

there only two missions thus far found at the sonar Docs

the toxic waste collections

and the submarine parts

neither of which costs anything more than the initial purchase of the sonar Docs which is 250k

And in reference to passable doors, I always thought that those unreachable mid-level steel doors w/ balcony from the dam may be passable from a parachute jump. You guys have probably tried but if not give it a go, Im not a very good pilot or parachuter so might leave that up to someone more skilled!

The doors are on the opposite side of the wall here in this picture, ive marked the rough position with an X.

Did it a while back and no cookie...but I wasn't at 100%, didn't try under weather or time conditions.

Door is solid, a few wooden boxes on the balcony, not much else of note.

You can parachute there with relative ease from the cliff top seen on the right side of your pic.

@above why post mods

Also I just landed my buzzard at the hippie camp after barely missing these two hippies sitting at a table. I got out just as they were running away and one of them yelled "Dan (or dale?) I'll see you at the accordion(?) Workshop". It sounded like "accordion" but idk. Weird.

To tadd or anyone else, has the mysterious structure at the beach been found in the files? If so, what is it called and is there any way to determined why they changed it with the Beach Bum DLC? It just seems so out of place and put in an area where beach themed DLC would allow us to notice it.

I cant remember the dialogue now but are we ever told how much the guys sub cost him before he dissapeared? The guy you go looking for. Maybe $500,000 has already been done by a charactor or story line.

2 things in my mind for a long time,

If $500,000 refers to the $250,000 and it was altered after the map was produced or just a mistake then why havent R* issued a statement saying that.

Someone must be contactable to a ask if this is an error or not.

[rant] I have seen some messages sent to R* on various things and i have to say i wouldnt bother replying to most of them properly myself.

If your going to ask for help then be clear, genuine and honest. Most i see are either full of lies trying to trick them out of info or look like theyve been texted by a 5 year old using leet speak.

Word your questions properly and be honest, if i had access to the net on my machine i would simply say i think ive found an error in the game whereby the map says one thing and the game acts in another. Then ask if thats right.

Then see what they say. You could also maybe leave out the actual detail of what it is and see if they are interested, if they come back saying they are sorry to read that and ask what is the problem youve found you can then tell them. It would make it harder for them to reply with the generic 'we cant comment on game play' answer.

Use your head and use some manners. Your talking to a human being on the other end not a machine so word your messages like your writing a letter. [\rant]

The second thing is the DLC thing,

I dont have access to the net with my machine so cant get future content and dont have the dlc already out. If the rest of the 'puzzle' started by the chiliaid diagram comes as part of dlc then its wrong of them to have included it before hand.

Its almost a con as in intentionally misleading purchasers, false advertising if you would. This is illegal in some places and i for one wouldnt be happy.

They may get out of it by saying it wasnt part of the game or that they didnt advertise it as having ufos or jetpacks but they would have to proove i didnt buy the game because i saw the diagram on the internet and bought the game because of interest in it.

As regards the glyphs, diagram and hippy camp,

As far as I'm concerned the glyph at the hippie camp tells me everything i need to see the ufos or at least one of them and gives me enough interest to investigate for others. The platform on chiliad tells me to go there.

What do the glyphs tell us? Theres more than is needed to see the ufos and as i say redundant anyway if your using the hippie camp clue.

We need to decide what exactally is used to tell us about the ufos. Is the glyph on the hippie mound telling us conditions for somthing else or are the glyphs telling us about somthing else. 5 gylphs telling us about 3 conditions at the most seems wrong to me.

Now if the diagram was showing us which of the glyphs we need to look at in order to get to either the UFO box or jetpack box then i can swallow it but then whats the mound glyph for and why doesn't anything happen when you do follow the glyphs down the jet pack line for example, we have no other places yet of where we need to be when the other criteria is followed so im assuming we've yet to find where we need to be as i dont believe its going to be the same place as the UFO sightings.

I can understand if the hippie camp is a map showing us where these places are but we havent found them yet in all this time?

As you can see the ufos after following the basic conditions it explains the straight line to the egg box as i believe the ufos are the egg.

We need to work out what the rest of the diagram and glyphs are for.

I believe the glyphs are to be used for the UFO and jetpack not the static ufos.

I also believe we only get one thing, i think we either use a UFO to get the jet pack or visa versa hence the line connecting them on the drawing. I dont see us ending up with both.

Only my take on it, nothing new i know but i think were getting lost with debunked theories again so wanted to bring it back up.

For example i find the file search interesting but i dont think the two threads should intertwine quite so much, indeed anyone posting in the file thread about the mystery gets told off and sent here, i think file talk should be kept over there instead of using it to rubbish peoples creative juices over here. By all means info such as a jet pack mention has been found or the ufos do nothing is clearly helpful but posting lists of file names then asking the people in this thread to trawl through them is a bit much especially when you get told off for not instantly dropping game playing to look through the said file names.

It also offends me that most people digging into the files dont seem to have played the game, a lot of the questions they ask are simple or a lot of the stuff they find they have no clue about and have to ask whereas i know instantly what its referring to even with my poor memory.

I'm not having a go, just airing frustration that since the new thread started we seem to have gone backwards, the thread is a lot cleaner but the content is a lot smaller.

Maybe and hopfully perhaps were just whittling down to the real hunters and things will get done better. I do accept we've had some good stuff the last 10 pages or so but its still full of people ignoring the good ideas posting the same old crap from 3 months ago.

I still believe the way to crack it is for everyone go do the same thing. Spend an hour trying one thing for example and all come back saying what we've found or what we've accomplished, we can then write off theories for certain as we will all have different weather, time etc etc situations trying it.

I tried it when i suggested we did a blanket search of the map but it soon got taken out of my hands and off the site afaik. From what i saw of the few that posted results they hadn't bothered searching properly but said it was done. Instead everyone should have searched the same area then reported back then we move to a different area unfortunatley that got lost and evetyone pissed off doing their own thing.

Lastly (long posts so we dont double or triple post is stupid imho) whats with the cheating, modding and online BS in this thread.

I understand using some cheats in order to try things out is acceptable but its a fine line between using a jump cheat to try and reach a ledge so you can say nothing is on it and using a invinsible cheat to enter the fort and say nothing happens (just examples to explain my case). If you can only do somthing by cheating do not come on here saying youve debunked it because you havent, the game stops progression if you use cheats.

Glitching under the map for example while it may be fun is of very little use as explained thousands of times previously.

Only my opinions, not meant to upset anyone.

EDIT, if you want to discuss the content in this post please edit your quote to the part your replying to and do not fill the thread with multiple quotes of my long ramblings.

There is an art sculpture next to the maze at the Kortz center(next to rear parking lot) When viewing it with the maze to your back it looks just like an egg. This is the ONLY thing Ive ever come across that looks like an egg. Surely this has been seen b4 so 4give the repost if so.

The size also means only the dedicated to the thread will read it and its not aimed at them.

Most of what I see in the file hunt thread goes straight over my head, but I'm still not sure (based on my VERY limited understanding of it) why we're so quick to dismiss the idea that there could've been a VERY deliberate effort on the part of R* to bury things under obscure filenames, and throw off the file hunters in any way possible.

They may not have anticipated the extent to which certain people have gone at it, but if there really was something they didn't want uncovered in that way, it's almost tough for me to imagine that they WOULDN'T have gone to pretty significant lengths to hide things in any way they could.

Just a thought.

Actually has anyone investigated whether or not the "Beam me up" has any greater meaning? I mean the SS UFO is hovering right above that site.
