It's funny, you know. Players wet their panties over DLC all the time, but when this happens it's all "oh no, that's disrespect".

Face it: gamers are the ones to blame when it comes to all the BS involving DLC. Everything nowadays seems to be about releasing a half-assed game in a disc and then releasing the rest as paid content. And gamers gladly accept it, throwing all their money on that crap. Just look at THQ (now part of other companies), for instance. It's been quite a while since the gaming industry started messing games up by cutting content to release as DLC and it even surprises me that Rockstar may be jumping on that wagon only now. Heck, it took some time, honestly!

Not saying it'll end up as paid content but don't be surprised if it does. Really. Sadly this is our current gaming industry. Gone are the days when I paid for a cartridge with a FULL game, one that they did their best to make fun AND playable, instead of relying on patches to fix their laziness later.

As for my opinion about this particular situation, I don't care. No one promised us a flyable UFO or jetpack from the beginning and no one told us that this "mural" would have a way to solve it. So there you have it. I'm more worried about the annoying cops, for example.

I'm going to try to contact R*, see what I get as a response.

good luck man

but I don't think this is going to go anywhere for you

from everything I've read about what support seems to know

...if it doesn't directly relate to a glitch

(and you have to provide them with proof of said glitch)

or something that directly relates to the playability of the game

Then anything beyond those realms, you will find as many before you have tried and got similar responses as to the one I'm sure you will get

and all of these responses have pointed to one thing

...support has no useful information to offer you regarding this

How you did it? If its simple may others could search for clues.

I dont want to release how it works just yet. I will after all of the obvious places are checked. Im just afraid it will be patched.

I wasn't expecting anything less!!

if the almighty R* would make a game full of clues and then don't add them that would be suicide for R*.

you know....people had its expectations from this game.

you know there just something big or else the game would be the greatest flop they made.

I totally understand what you're saying, tresshold, but I don't remember a single occasion in which they hyped UFOs or jetpacks for that game. You bought the game based on previews, videos, screenshots, etc - none of which depicted alien life. That's what our expectations were based on, not the mural.

Consider the mural a "bonus". I call it waste of time, but it's up to you! Thankfully my whole game is still there even after knowing about this "mystery". Annoying cops and all, but it's there.

My point being: just don't be surprised if it's DLC... That's what the gaming industry is about nowadays. At least we can say that Rockstar still creates good games from the get-go, even if they decide to release that paid crap.

PS.: And in all honesty I was disappointed when I saw the alien BS in the game, because it reminded me of that awful game, Saints Row.

I was just messing around trying to talk to random npc's with Franklin when I found some people who I could just cycle through his dialogue. One of the things he say's is "are you having fun down here on earth." I understand this is no real help but thought it was strange!

LOL. Well if they give a good answer, kudos to them. I'm not expecting one, though. In the meantime, the search continues.

We all keep an open mind(or should do) that anything is possible including DLC. There is as much chance of it being that as there is of everything being in the game already. We do not give up though just incase it is the latter. Haha some say one thing and some say another. Could the answer be right in front of us? Sorry couldn't resist.

I've cracked it!!!!

Right, here's what you do!

Change to Mike. Go to Ammunation and stock up on stickys and gasoline, and get a rocket launcher, fill ammo, then head over to Zancudo.

At 2am.. Burst through the main gate and make a bee-line for the bunker. Once inside the bunker surround yourself in stickys and gasoline.

Then, at 3am, go outside and stand on the bunker under the beam (you have to be quick or you'll die). Look down at the beam on the roof of the bunker, activate his "special" and fire a rocket straight at the beam and detonate the stickys.

This will propel you straight up. You will smash through the bottom of the UFO and straight into an Aliens butt-hole. (The Alien dies but thats ok.)

Climb out of the Aliens asshole and scream "Yeah bitch, who's your Daddy!" at the dying, shaking, ruptured butt-hurt Alien.

His pals will start shooting you with a green lazer-type gun and shouting "Nanoo nanoo". Take them out (whilst screaming "Nanoo this ya cont!" at the TV) and head to the controls. Press Y and steer the UFO home.

Once home, Amanda will come outside and say something like.. "You're not leaving that here blah blah blah". Exit the UFO, kill Amanda. Win.

Next week.. I find the jetpack!

(if you think that's^ crazy, you haven't been paying attention :panic: )

yes some of the PEDs/NPCs can be engaged in a conversation

as far as the responses you can cycle through

I think this was just a typical response to some of the crazy things that some of the PEDs/NPCs say to the characters

Also adding to the extra box on the right hippie/ufo mound idea. The extra box in the blue part of the right hill that seems to be a mystery, we also have a red circle on a blue part of the left mural mound there also? i find this interesting because we have 2 versions of mt chiliad (2 hills) with an unknown & mysterious location pinpointed on them both on blue parts of the mural? coincidence? maybe? but im feeling that they both refer to the same thing, they are just showing them from 2 different perspectives, just like the 2 different ways these hills show chiliad.

Also, those lines on the bottom of the mural look like the lines under that box. Check it out http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/snapmatic/myphotos/photo/oRVm_eiFqUqAceLaDfMWFA

Well, you guys are all like ''There must be something, so many clues they must lead to something'' but..where are the clues you all talk about?I mean only clear clues are the chiliad glyphs, and they lead to...Chiliad UFO.

Aniway, if so far there is nothing, and my idea about SS radio tower is already tried, i doubt anything is there. As many has said..most likely cut content.About the idea ''Rockstar would hide the easter egg in files, so noone can acces them''..erm okaai. So that means Rockstar is more interest in making Chiliad Mystery hard, and dont give a f*ck about Online, since almost anyone who wanted could get all the stuff they wanted, and ruin online experience for others?Doubt that.

And btw, keep in mind that Rockstar didnt made mural mystery..People (players) made the mural a mystery.Rockstar havent said a single thing about mural.

what should I think of the mural otherwise?

hè look a stupid drawing with the two most desirable things in the game on it, probably nothing.

as for the glyphs,..... you don't really need them for the chilliad ufo.

it says on the platform "come back when you complete your story"

My personal opinion is that they have created an expectation with the jetpack on the mural alone. And unfortunately when expectations aren't met folks feel let down, no matter how good the rest of the experience was. The kicker is if you take that jetpack off the mural this whole search doesn't gain as much traction, again in my opinion, and most are just happy they played a fun game.

Many feel there is another mystery to solve aside from the JP but clearly with it there on the mural for all to see it has caused an expectation there is something more. It's totally unnecessary. The game outside of this hunt was immensely fun. They went out of their way to create this "hype" or expectation. Failing to live up to it will leave a sour taste for some, no getting around it.

Something else that I've dredged up from memory is that during the task that Michael has in walking 5 miles in the señora desert for epsilon, you get a call from epsilon leader along the lines of walking twice the distance. I logged this at the time but obviously just did the minimum. Anyway, does any one else recall the exact message that Michael received and if what I recall is correct can anyone with a save game before the walk actually continue to walk around beyond the 5 miles to see if this affects anything.

huh?

then how else are you supposed to know what time and weather conditions to have the UFO appear?

100 percent is not the only factor that you need if not you would simply go back there kill some time looking around and if the exact time and weather conditions didn't line up with your presence there

then nothing is found

and you leave never knowing the UFO was there

just doesn't make sense IMO

Ok, so to summarize the great mural mystery hunt so far...

Observations and analyses:

This looks like it represents that and that looks like it's pointing us towards this, and a shadow over here looks like a dinosaur if you watch it at 3 am in the space docker headlights, but then an unusual sound was heard somewhere, and somebody noticed that the map looks like a dildo when you turn it upside down in a mirror, and "cytokinetic lab meal" is an anagram of "Niko Bellic ate my cat"

Actions taken that yielded positive results:

None.

Sorry guys, but the longer this goes on the longer it becomes apparent that while San Andreas is packed with interesting features to see and discuss among ourselves, the game world is pretty much "window shopping" to the player who can do nothing to interact with it in a significant way beyond the scope of petty vandalism, stealing cars and assaulting pedestrians. The file search guys have actually done way more to debunk the whole mystery than to confirm the existence of those goodies we hoped for (flyable ufo, jetpack, dinosaur with saddle

Let's face it there's probably nothing, but as Tadd and others have said, maybe the most likely route to finding something more now is a hard-to-reach fake wall. Maybe we would make better progress by parachuting into cliffs and tower blocks instead of driving around honking the space docker at wild geese.

no I don't think that's correct

I'm on my 4th play through and I'm at that exact mission right now I'll double check it

but if memory serves me correct

Cris calls you after you have walked 4 miles and tells you you are almost there and he is watching your progress

Anyone who does not believe there is something to solve within the Chiliad mural and anything relating to it are more than welcome to throw in the towel in regards to their input toward this hunt. You are also welcome to create your own thread perhaps named "I don't believe there is anything to the Chiliad mural". This thread was created for believers. If you have lost the will yourself fair enough but please don't try to demotivate others.

No offence intended to anyone just logical really.

If a fake wall exist then you should able to see the room behind with the under the map glitch.

I'm doing right now the content creator glitch to see what doors will open, I tried so far...

The mine door, won't open.

Zancudo elevator, open.

Ron's house, the door disappears and there is a tiny room (not even a room).

T01 and T02 doors , won't open.

Mount chiliad door, won't open.

Life invader office, won't open.

Bank vault near Chinese cinema, opens.

Paleto bay bank, opens.

Sandy shores police office, door opens, but you fall under the map.

Tiny room at noose headquarters, opens.

To do this just create a death match and while testing go where you want. If you go to map menu you can teleport any point at the map.

Meat Factory, open but fall through the floor.
