because it's your actuality...

4 colours...the yellow is the most important...4 characters...now switch on the 4th and saw the colour...

Well Mr Kraffrom funny you should mention it as i treked up the hill i noticed the Altruist Camp looming over to the east. I have a new crazy conspiracy that the COTM is fronting as a cult in order to lure food up to the mountains for the Altruists to eat!

@Stangone Good that you have seen the sign to confirm, not sure there is much more we can gain by finding the other passwords on signs if they exist but it is strange none the less

EDIT: To be clear, this isn't what Kraffrom is referring to if i'm thinking right but, it is the "Actuality" of the CotM/Altruist link. someone flat out told me this was the case over a month ago, just kind of been sitting on the information, almost forgot about it as i didn't think it was really pertinent to the hunt at the time and it seemed that it was on the cusp of being figure out anyways.

 

I guess we got sidetracked from it and i forgot to bring it up, my bad...

Only F can do the COTM quest and he's rewarded at the end with a lousy T-shirt

If you turn up at the camp as F wearing the t-shirt do they let you in ,if the COTM are working with them that's what I would expect but since I have wiped them out I can't try.

What if... now hear me out, and this is a big IF but.... what if we have to somehow kill Frank instead of choosing between Mich/Trev?

 

How would we go about doing that, like "Hangout" with frank using Trev and drive him to the Altruist Camp, or something?

How I made the link was I thought to myself, we never see the COTM... like we do the epsilonists or the Altruists in the game, just the website and the Irish guy on the radio, and I seen this sign for treks with the COTM password , I thought these treks must be one of the cults expeditions, I seen alot of backpackers on my way up there also, and I was thinking, "Theres no COTM place around here for these guys to arrive to they are gonna get eaten by the Altruists!"

Also they hate younger people, who better to feast on then the COTM?

This game trips me out sometimes.

What information did they have to go on to make this link? Some maps have the "shark" apparently and some don't. Its most likely not an error but maybe there's a possibility some maps that came with the standard edition games have some Minor clues or something and some don't. Just a thought.

One more thing I was just thinking about is the hippy wagon things that shock you if you get close , does this happen with all characters or not can't get on the game ATM but was just thinking maybe it doesn't shock you with the right character

I have the shark on my map ,to me just letting us know that there's sharks in the drink .

I did also say it's just a reference to the sharks in the water but why have it on only some maps?

Well, my regular edition doesn't show the shark (I can post a pic If you have doubts), just light blue when comparing my 6H and http://www.ign.com/m...s-blaine-county SE's 7H.

Miss prints ,early additions ,but it is peculiar why its there and not dotted around the map .

I know this doesnt exactly apply here, but on the Red Dead Redemption map, there were outlines of the animals exactly like this in areas you would find them, so this to me, misprint or not, would indicate a big ass shark or sharks being there for sure.

 

However since they arent marked on the map anywhere else it could just indicate that "sharks are out there in the water" ill go investigate in the sub now anyway!

 

-edit- @EramVerdes, I have a special edition (not CE)map from inside the box(not the blueprint one) and I can tell you I can definitely see the shark in 7H cant upload pic sorry

Good point the RDR animal markers were similar ,be cool if there is a huge shark there ,you could even try searching around that area in a boat and it may get attacked?

@One Poor Fool - on standard map is 6H. No pic needed, it seems there are 2 (or even more) versions of both Standard and Special edition maps, but why? With the 500.000 CASH stuff, misprints are booming, imho.

Been searching in the area were that shark is on the map ,nothing so far.

What about the UV map, could there be some differences with some extra/low detail (PS3/XBox, early/late, US/EU/etc. versions)?

 

I've only seen the UV map online (as I'm sure most that don't own it or don't own a UV lamp did...) and I got the feelling that it's probably allways the same file, from several sources though.

 

All you guys with UV and Special/Collectors editions (I own the standard one) could try to spot some differences or post your maps and maybe start some differenecs hunt/contest (imo at http://gtaforums.com/topic/677565-a-question-about-the-map/)?)
