Ok, so the jet pack man pic on the mural is clearly telling us that we need to look for a UFO high above the military base because that's where the jet pack was found in GTA: San Andreas? That's the generally accepted explanation now, right?

 

 

Well, you know those fruit arranged to look like a penis? Those are telling us that we need to look for Ron Jeremy hiding in the Police Station shower room, since that's where the dildo was found in GTA: San Andreas.

Lol, im with ya. I dont believe the jetpack image is a metaphor. Would not make any sense for ufo = ufo, but jetpack also = ufo.

 

Yeah but, what if the UFO's don't mean "UFO" and are themselves a metaphor?...

 

you have to realize, 90% of theories on the Mystery start by placing the UFO over one of the UFO's that we know of and/or using it to reference one of the known UFO's, which makes complete sense.

 

BUT, nobody has found a 100% match yet, so... what if it doesn't mean UFO, and is itself a metaphor for something like the Jetpack could be?

Despite being a bit of a skeptic when it comes to this Chiliad Mystery thing, an idea has in fact popped into mind. Remember with the literal easter egg in Vice City, or the Statue of Hapiness doorway in IV? Both of those were non solid, however had textures. Could it actually be that there is a similar place in V (possibly at or near Mt Chilliad) with something inside it?

 

If anyone here has already seen the Game File Mystery Hunt thread we already know there's files for "secret weapon", "alien egg" (which I think was found to have it's own animation) and "Astroid". So it's got me thinking that possibly there's an underground, or hidden cave, area in which we have an alien egg crack and give us this "secret weapon".

It's a big map, and even then if it was simply textured without a solid surface (in particular if was in was say a mountain face) it could be hard to notice. Either way I'm just swinging some ideas around

At this point of the hunt I think that there its not any trigger to be found, that if its something hidden you can simply go trough a false wall and take it.its the only theory that (I think) fits.

At this point of the hunt I think that there its not any trigger to be found, that if its something hidden you can simply go trough a false wall and take it.its the only theory that (I think) fits.

 

I think there are 6 triggers that can be checked/cleared at salvation mt. at the boxes.

I just think none of them are found

Speaking of Cave there is one that contained a Spaceship part. The Cave seems well hidden at first. The loacation is near Mt Josiah I think. It resides in a large hill. The funny thing is has anyone came back to it after 100%? Idk seems to me there would be more to it then that. But I really am probably wrong I guess. Like always.

Btw I was a long time GTA player too. I really was not sure if I wanted to join. The funny thing is back then I didn't care about Easter Eggs until 2006 which I was told by a good friend about Stop N Swop. A mystery that lasted 10 years before being revealed. It was from the Nintendo 64 Game Banjo and Kazooie to Banjo Tooie.
After that I joined RareWitchProject Forums.
But I thought I was done after that with Easter Eggs. Then 2011 hit and Batman Arkham City had Easter Eggs. Yea I guess I was a Brian Clone on there because I didn't own the game until a month or 2 after. The Forums faded away. In 2013 I joined the late hunt leading to the Shadow of Colossus Mystery in May.

Then GTA V had a Mystery as well. :/ I think I want to retire after this.

Yeah, it's not totally unfeasible that the Chilad mural is R*s "mermaid map" and that it means absolutely bugger all.

 

I'm really hoping that's not the case here though...

I've actually read another theory on the mural, which actually does involve DLC stories. Each of the boxes represents the rewards we get from each story. For example, the UFO in the first box represents the UFOs around the map in vanilla GTA V, the egg represents the 100% completion reward for the first DLC (maybe with some type of interesting surprise inside?) and the second DLC 100% reward is the jetpack.

speaking of Volition, i been playing some red faction lately. open world game that gives you a jetpack in the main stoyline. no months of detective work required. 20 bucks on xbox marketplace.

This was all cool 2 months ago but i think its time to move on and look forward to dlc.

Lamest reward ever for completing a GTA and/or any other game, ever.

Wow, neato speedo, we get to look at something. from a distance.

"Come back when your story is complete"... to waste your time.

I would NEVER buy the DLC.

I would NEVER buy another Rockstar Games product.

I would NEVER recommend to anyone to try a Rockstar Games product, in fact i would go out of my way to make sure they know how far downhill their products have gone in the last 5 years.

Or it's never solved. Dun dun dun. Haha. I really hope the mural is a puzzle and that it get's solved. I still think we all are thinking way to hard and seeing everything as a hint or something connected to the mural is not the way. I don't know the way but I still think the ufo's, FZ, the light at the FZ bunker, the Space Docker and Franklin are connected and the key. Why? It's just my feeling. I would say because they all fit in the theme, but then again what about Michael and his abduction and Epsilon/Kifflom. Trevor has something to do with clowns but get weird encouters where he gets knocked unconcience and wakes up at a traintrack. But again, it's my feeling. I have no evidence. I'm going over the mural and what we know and have found and try to figure out some new stuff, maybe I will find something.

i reckon the best options remaining, given we have exhausted all the obvious post 100% actions, are the all gold and karmic playthroughs.

not really something i would like to try and i'm sure most others wouldn't due to the time involved and the fact we wouldn't even know how to go about it properly.

the best thing we can do now on this is just playthrough again and make note of the big decisions we make and who dies etc.

if the 5 x's are related to events in the storyline then why does the middle line have no red x's in it's path? could this perhaps be franklins line since he does much less decision making like heist planning and such?

on the vangelico job if you choose the sh*t driver then someone dies. is that a x?

does anyone know if other people die on heists?

I played to all golds .I tried the karma thing . I may have killed a couple peds on the way but as far as the story goes I let everyone live when I was given a choice . The innocents went up as I went through missions . There wasnt much I could do about it . I think in certain missions where your killing a bunch of cops and a couple security guards get in on the mix , they were counted as innocents . Im Michaels alien mission they are all counted as innocents .

 

The only thing left as far as trying the karma theory IMO is this ... Playing the game and doing ONLY those missions that are needed for 100% and nothing else . Killing as little as possible along the way .

On Social Club it says the less innocents you kill the better ,doesnt say why . Morally its never a good thing to kill anyone so as far as karma it should not be a decision as to who lives and who dies but one to let everyone live and let god/kraff sort them out lol

Can you mirror at the ufo line.

Both East & West are mirrored from the exact center of the map, which as it turns out, is the peak of Mt. Chiliad. Is that not the ufo you are talking about?

Another theory I have in relation to doing things a certain way during a playthrough. It seems as if with every heist you can chose the path of, there's a somewhat "canon" way as to how it's done (e.g. With the Merryweather Heist, no matter which option you pick the news reports on the ship being hit (implying that's the canon method).And the red boxes dictate a non-canon choice being chosen. So basically we might need to differentiate what is, and isn't, the canon choice on each heist.

 

I'm just throwing around ideas again. I want to believe that there's something, but the hunt isn't going far.

To everyone that mentioned the supposed solved theory... you all put across good points but either way (solved with this theory or not) im with ungreth...

 

Are rockstar that "short sighted" they cant see that the players would want a jetpack after seeing the image...

 

If they are going to use a jetpack man to point to the military as thats where it was in SA then surely they would see that the people who can make that connection (ex SA players) would want that said item instead of a UFO to look at!!

 

Really? Thats it? I dont want to believe it!!

 

I will have lost a lot of respect for rockstar if that was the answer all along... i cant believe they wouldnt have foreseen our desire for a jetpack again...

 

and if it was planned all along but in DLC then that is just sh*tting on the non online gamers (even if most have a connection these days its still shady) and i'll say this now... if they charge us extra for a jetpack DLC or expansion they have taken us for the biggest ride in game history... plant big mystery, increase desire for certain items, charge extra to gain items and watch the money roll in for a second time :/

 

If the jetpack or some form of reward is not in the game before update then they have messed this up IMO.

 

Edit: i should say, if some form of better reward than seeing the crappy UFOs is not in game before an update they have messed it up!!

 

Game was fun but far to easy and a really crappy reward... 7 out of 10 and 7 was for story and looks lol not the 10 out of 10, biggest selling game its made out to be.

 

Edit2: oh and the doors... i was not aware they make 2 different sounds... i can only imagine it is the same material sound (i dont think there is metal type 1 and 2 lol just metal sound) but the sound is used in 2 different ways or because of the acoustics of the tunnel or game mechanics it makes a different sound... as far as i can tell the t01 and t02 doors are just static objects... they are not in the door tuning files (tells how a door opens) and show no ability to open in the collision models...

 

The sound could also maybe be different since one door is used for the epsilon tract to be next to... could just mean the one door is standard but the other door had a little more time spent on its sound and looks...

 

This is just speculation but i feel with a great certainty that unless a yellow mission marker or cutscene happens the doors are not usable... im even willing to bet unless altered in an update they will never been seen opening in a cutscene either...

 

So far from what we have seen, any door that is used in a cutscene (i mean actually walked through by someone) can be seen as a hole in the wall when viewing the static collision models from the files...

 

Static collision models are basically a picture of every solid wall or thing you can bump into in the game... if you can pass through any wall or door then the models will show a hole there and no wall...

 

This is how we check for false walls at the minute... it also as a flip side shows us if doors can be used as they show as a hole also and not a solid wall (like the t01 and t02 show NO hole just a solid wall)

okay there is a way to get on a buzzard and under the map i haven't done it but there's a youtube vídeo... there's one for everything really.there is also one showing a fake Wall but u just fall... under the map there doesbn't seem to be nothing i'll check it out but i doubt it...i'm still very reluctant in admiting either defeat or the existence of a jetpack or a ufo to drive... but... not all as been tested yet and we should keep at it... just... as a favor for everyone stay the hell away from quantum stuff and advanced mathematics the wow signal scientology and weird strange ass science facts... like freud.. this only makes people go away and not talk to us again...youtube is a great great help to see vídeos from strange happenings in the game... so use that tool and. stop with all the brainiac stuff... high school footballers play this game too and they're brain damaged to sh*t so i really think that's not the way... don't use that tool... cause u'll end up beeing tools urselfs...

% and storyline, doesn´t seem to.

You can still see the ufos after/when using.

 

At least that's what I've heard :) , I'm yet to use one ingame.

I havent actually heard anyone say they could not complete the game because they used cheats. It will stop you from getting achievements .

Theres a building with false doors near the movie studios but you just fall under the map when you enter them. If anyone wants to check them look for the building with a pool on its roof thats facing the studios, to the left of it is another building with red roof tiles. the doors are on the top balcony .
