No I had not seen that rock but wasn't really paying much attention to the rocks at the time.

Im not being negative.........

"I have cargo bobed the sub to the Alamo sea and explored every inch".

We can all over look things that arent in our imediate search and something like this "rock" I refered to isn't really that inconspicuous, but the only reason I found it was because I was searching for arrows at the time. So the Alamo could still harbor some info.

 

 

Have you tried with zodiac boat (mickael) ? up the estuary (a big jump to the middle) and you can explore alamo sea with diving suit.

@Tadd: I think the sunken ufo is not part of the mural because the mural shows the clues which reveal the 3 ufos into the sky only when the game is 100% completed.

The sunken ufo is visible before to reach the 100%.

Ive just been staring at the sorcerer mural in game.

If you look at it as a 3d model it appears the base with all things are impossable etc etc goes around the arms and the hidden text makes somthing else up.

As i was looking at that out of the corner of my eye i thought i recconised the background.

The top half looks like the maze and underneath are the buildings.

Im going to go see if it puts the arms and hands on the statue or fountain there.

Ok, so the jet pack man pic on the mural is clearly telling us that we need to look for a UFO high above the military base because that's where the jet pack was found in GTA: San Andreas? That's the generally accepted explanation now, right?

 

 

Well, you know those fruit arranged to look like a penis? Those are telling us that we need to look for Ron Jeremy hiding in the Police Station shower room, since that's where the dildo was found in GTA: San Andreas.

Lol, im with ya. I dont believe the jetpack image is a metaphor. Would not make any sense for ufo = ufo, but jetpack also = ufo.

It's like showing a child of picture of a car, and saying "this means car", then showing the child a picture of a scooter and saying "this also means car", then finally showing them a picture of Kermit the Frog and telling them "this means car too!"

 

And what of all the players who never played SA? Is this game not meant for them too? Would they see a jet pack and think "there must be a ufo above the military base".

 

Besides which, even having played SA, intuition would tell me that if there was a jet pack in the game it would probably be found somewhere different to a military base this time around. Jet packs aren't even top secret technology these days. It's a godamn water sport for heaven's sakes! If I had expected to find one anywhere, it would have been with Dom and not with the military.

 

And were R* really so short sighted that they couldn't predict the inevitable assumptions that would be made in response to seeing that jetpack image, since that's something we all loved about SA, grumbled about not having in GTA4, and hoped for in GTA5? I seriously doubt it.

 

I don't buy jetpack = Zancudo UFO what so ever.

Honestly I wouldn't mind having a water jetpack in GTA. That would actually be awesome if the physics were right.

maybe this, or maybe the opposite.. perhaps far-sighted to the point where, as things currently stand 4 months after release, people are still talking about it and there is no solid evidence as to what the image actually means, only varying theories that all have validity. (this is my opinion, i do not work for r* or portend to have any psychic abilities)

I cant upload pictures on this phone apparently but im stood on the buildings at the ko rtz building and have the maze in the orientation of the sorcerer mural background.

 

The fountain lines up with where the arms would be and when looked from above the fountain looks like a ufo because of the pattern on the bottom of the pool.

 

People used to say the mural, if turned upside down, looks like a ufo beaming somthing up.

This is also the problem i have with that theory. Since this is the very first GTA i have ever played & had no idea before starting this hunt there was ever a jetpack in any gta prior or that the SA one was in a military base. So how would somebody like me match all these things up?

I only ended up on this forum because it was at the top of a google search about 'gta5 jetpack' when i got stuck trying to figure it out on my own & found out this info.

 

edited: also when i first saw the mural, even with no prior knowledge of a jetpack in a previous gta i instantly thought "hey it looks like a guy with a jetpack"? no military base or scuba diver or such thoughts came into my mind at all. Thats why i google searched for 'gta5 jetpack' & walah! it lead me here lol

Infact i was such a gta noob i didnt even know gta had easter eggs? Im a COD player & have been for many years & knew they existed in COD only because of that. The UFO image on the mural made sense to me because of the michael alien abduction scene. I just thought originally i had missed a random event mission that would have a jetpack in it. The first thoughts about the lines & boxes i had was they were the secret missions i needed to do, & i had missed 1 somewhere to see the jetpack mission.

edited: i am only mentioning this because alot of the hunters here are GTA fans for quite a while compared to me, so would of had these clues already. I did not & this is the view & opinions i had prior to joining the forum & learning all this while being here. Its been a great experience none the less & got me hooked on GTA, even after my initial roasting on here lol

I have been playing gta since the top down view ,gta london think it was and have played all the rest ever since doesn't mean am any more clued up on it than you,I spoiled the hunt because a looked it up on the net and got it about a week after release ,that being said seems like I have been playing it for years for some reason ,on the hunt side of things I really hope that this can be solved with the game I bought and not some dlc money spinner R* will no doubt force on us m

I came to the forum in a simular way but had played all the previous games. Never been on a gaming forum though especially for gta.

Where i differvis that i saw the drawing and ghought cool thetes a jetpack like the previous game and maybe a ufo to fly.

I thought the lines were showing a bunker in a mountain and the lines beibg tunnels with the crosses dead ends.

 

I didnt revisit the drawing or thought about it until i had completed ghe missions and was nearly 100% which is when i started reading here. A week or so later i joined.

Yup. I'm totally open to the view that the mural's only purpose is a lab test and we're all rats in R*s maze.

 

Present a familiar, recognisable motif within a cryptic context and without any explanation...

 

How do people react?

 

Do they work together to find a commonly accepted meaning or do they split off into conflicting groups with opposing viewpoints?

 

Do they even begin to form entirely new belief systems around their understanding of the motif?

 

How has attempting to make sense of the motif affected their mood, their behaviour, their psychology?

 

Has it even affected their subconcious mind to the point where they are beginning to dream about the motif and it's meaning?

 

GTA5 with a fanbase of millions, many of whom are keen easter egg hunters with a natural inclination to seek out subtext and hidden meaning, would seem the perfect testing ground to answer these questions, no?

 

Don't take this theory as my firm belief though, as it's only one of many possibilities in my mind. Nothing is true, everything is permitted. Keep searching folks.

Hey guys i just joined this forum to help in the search of the jetpack, it's fact that its there so i just wanna share a thought that i am trying to accomplish as we speak

In the collectors edition you get a blueprint map which under blacklight shows different messages. There's is a message that says "Take control", which involves a cirkel drawn around Fort Zancudo and shows a little "elevator" like symbol!!! So i was thinking maybe we should take that litterally and "TAKE CONTROL OVER FORT ZANCUDO"!!! Im trying it now as i said but it aint an easy task so i'd figured you guys give it a shot too!

I've went into Fort Zancudo with unlimited health using a gamesave hack just so I could see if you could kill off all of the soldiers, but it's impossible. I went on a whole game day killing spree. They keep respawning.

 

this is to both of you and anyone else trying this good luck and i wanna try to do this to even if its nearly impossible and this might be an easier if you do this hide where the jet is inside the one room and use the invincible for 5 mins cheat and when there is 10 seconds left type in the cheat and wait to hit the triangle or Y button when the cheat deactivates click the triangle or Y this is just so you dont lose half to all of your health

^ nice summery ,for me I think gta has gone to straight laced ,never played saints row but been told the fun factor is there ,so if your watching R* can we please got back to your roots and add more of the outrageous stuff back in if that's not too much too ask ,,,oh and an EE that's not on a par with quantum physics .

I lurked the boards for nearly a month before joining, as i knew nothing about GTA compared to what the other hunters were posting & didnt want to look like an idiot lol

 

Im going to have a search of the map & see if i can find a wall or building that we can fly/parachute through (yet another thing i had no previous knowledge of in other GTA's) see if i can help tadd's search. Laters hunters keep up the good work ive been reading in the last few pages before shaft showed up again

Ive had a good look around the alamo sea tonight. I have to say ive not found anything new.

 

Every other rock reminded me of the egg though lol.

 

 

I havent found anymore regarding the mirrored images either. Tomorrow while thinking about that im going to explore the lining up of the sorcerer mural with the ko rtz building.

MAYBE it is one of those marketing ploys where the company knows it's target audience and relied on the possibility that if you couldn't find an actual jetpack or an answer to what the image means (if they did not include an answer) in game, that you may then look on the interwebs to find things out, maybe gain an affection for the franchise's earlier forays into the world of gta and it's lore, and perhaps look at purchasing an older title of theirs to enhance your gta experience and as a result, enhance r*s wallets

I dont think this would be it since SA was prior to the 360, PS3 generation. Not much to gain here, as sales for that would be secondary market. I guess if you look at planning to hype the newer release of SA, maybe.

^^ i would include IV and it's dlc into the mix of "finding out about the history of gta" too, but what you say makes sense, i didn't think of it that way

after reading this and simply googling reptilians I think we have found our in game conspiracy answer. The aliens/reptilians are the FIB. They crashed into the sea and took over! Maybe our final secret mission is to take down the FIB reptilians. And then we get our jet pack! Or something like that! anyway I'm off to bomb to f*ck out of the FIB building with my Buzzard!

if you are referring to me (as your post immediately follows mine), then i would like to say that i have speculated on possibilities and given an opinion. i keep an open mind and am not 100% convinced either way as things stand. i do not come in here to tell other people their theories are dumb or pointless if i don't agree with them and have tried to help where i can. (yes i may have included the occasional rant when things have gone to troll town, but have since seen the error of my ways). i don't pretend to have the answers and simply because i don't pay heed to every new theory (or ten year old one) that comes up, doesn't mean i think there is no chance of finding anything else.
