but isn't that exactly what they have done?

that content is only available to the purchasers of the extended version or the collectors edition.

if they get it in this aspect who's to say that they didn't do it in other aspects

it is something to consider

I think if they intended to do that they would probably have in the description "Plus access to exclusive collectors edition easter eggs" or something along those lines.

the Trevor thing on the bleu map doesn't say 'go left here' but instead there is an arrow pointing.

 

maybe you have to recreate the exact route in order to activate, maybe with five stars or after five smugglers missions.

Where is the extra garage located in SP ? How many cars does it store . Or is it just one of the 4 car garages but you get it for free ?

 

I know in SP you had to buy the 4 car garages for 30k unless you signed up for social club then you got them for free . I never paid for any of mine .

I don't think the collectors edition would have any extra stuff about the mystery because I think R* would hint about it in the description most likely

no one ever said the 500,000 had anything to do with the mystery

only that it's written on the UV map that comes specifically with the collectors edition of the games, (or special edition. whatever its called) and based on the fact that they already get known additional content.

then what would stop them from giving "them only access" to this additional content

 

I think it's a very legitimate question to ask this point

I mean if I owned this version of the game I would want to know why it says that

...but yet the Sonar Docs are only 250k and by all accounts it sounds like they're describing the Sonar Docs on the UV map.

I would have to imagine that at the very least they could tell you whether or not it was a misprint or a glitch in the game

There is standard(basic), special(all extras apart from trinkets like bag/steel case etc) and then collectors edition(all extras including trinkets etc). Something along those lines.

Ok, maybe i will be like idiot but here it goes.I didnt follow the thread for a while, so i dont know if this has been tried or not.

Sandy Shores radio tower.Has anyone tried standing at the top of that radio tower platform (http://i.imgur.com/NeGLw2X.jpg , 3am,rain/thunderstorm?If nothing happens, maybe the arrow means you have to look north while you are at top of platform, 3am and thunderstorm?

I cant check that myself, becouse i sold my copy of GTA V.

I'm not trying to start anything here, your one of what I call 'the originals' on this site and I've seen the contribution to this thread you've made personally, but we don't know FOR SURE there is no jetpack, I lean towards this being one big DLC con but we don't know certainly there is no jetpack

Is the red arrow ontop of the concrete pillar at the hippy camp pointing us toward the location of the area depicted on the hippy model? Or is it pointing us to another clue to help us solve it?

Hmmm what if...

 

Add mystery into original game...

 

Create hype surrounding this mystery...

 

Release DLC...

 

Everyone continues buying DLC believing each one could solve this mystery...

 

Finally release the last big DLC giving the poor (no money left from all the DLC) fans the last piece of the puzzle to finish off the mystery and despite really pissing us off, leaving us with a sick jetpack and UFO...

 

People have managed to mod things into online already... could you imagine modded UFOs and jetpacks from the beggining...

 

You think anyone would buy DLC or even bother with the game other than to have a quick spin in the UFO...

 

Im just preparing you all for the bad news, that looks inbound from the files research.

 

After everything that had been found we still have no use for the alien egg, asteroid or secret weapon crate... the movie studio UFO that was found is not used by the game in anyway we can see... and the UFOs that exist do nothing that we dont already know about (no hidden use)

 

Every lead we have had is just a dead end... looking like cut content or things ready for DLC to use...

 

That is not to say there isnt anything though... there may well be something very well hidden in the files and it will be stumbled across somehow... so far though unless a new lead comes we arent getting anything positive... just dead ends

 

Anyway dont give up, you guys could find something the files cant... if this stuff is really well hidden then the only way to activate it would be by solving the mystery properly anyway.

Dude your absolutely right . I think the fact I have been around since the begining has taken its toll on me lol It has been an extemely frustrating run . I just wish I had more answers .

If the answer lies in DLC then it should be free . Anything else would be unacceptable and a slap in the face .

I thought the red arrow on top of the concrete pillar was pointing to the cannibal camp?

 

as far as the large red arrow...

I believed at one point that the red arrow was pointing at the UFO making a reference to the UFO found on the mural

they are both similar in shape

and because the red arrow was curving around

I could only surmise that this was, essentially indicating that you needed to mirror the mural

but even in doing this it seems to have lead nowhere

 

tadd maybe exactly correct

...and its not to say that these clues don't mean anything nor, that we haven't solved parts of them

its just to say that they don't necessarily apply to this version of the game, but rather future DLC

 

don't get me wrong I'm not keen on the idea paying more money just to see this mystery to it's end

but honestly...

it's looking more and more like it's going to be

@tadd. Your last paragraph sums it up for me. I mean they are aware of game hacking so would make sense they would have a contingency for preventing this method from answering the most important sought after answers. All they would have to do is replace specific words with random words/letters and we wouldn't be any wiser. I am not an expert on the subject by any means but is that possible? I mean like changing a word like say "abduction" with something irrelevant and meaningless like "dirt".

Not that I have heard . I think the attention to this is dying down .

Its down to all of us here , the files guys and the people over on reddit .

There were times I couldnt even keep up in the old threads .

What we need is Media attention . Reporters at the Housers doorstep lol ..every morning

@ jaw41883. Tried many times. If you can find a way to contact rockstar devs directly then perhaps you might get there. Rockstar support would not have this info i don't think. Can you imagine how many gagging orders would be needed, signed and controlled? It would be a logistical nightmare not to mention very risky.
