GTA V Metaphors, Philosophy and Hidden Meanings.

Hi all. I read since the last pages it would be question of point of view(the eye...u not see the right thing, the right angle...think differently...it's under your nose...this is not physical but philosophic(even metaphysical...etc;etc)

So I thought about how to look differently and, I don't know why but the first thing I tought thought is the anamorphic view :

http://www.artandesignews.com/anamorphic-typography-by-joseph-egan/

http://www.anopticalillusion.com/2012/07/anamorphic-eye/

Anyone have already seen like this?

landscape, city, graffiti, hippie camp above view with helicopter or anything else...
@Deadman
I think this pic is important. like a logical test we must to find the 5th symbol.
Regards.

You are so confident in your assertions, yet you have provided no empirical evidence to back them up, only spouting the cryptic mumbo-jumbo of a charlatan mystic. You could be right, but you're going to feel very silly if Tadd & friends find definitive evidence of a fully functional, unlockable jetpack in the files.

"A mind only becomes enlightened when it is able to accept it's own fallibility"

- Ungreth (GTA Forums)

I will not feel silly, as you misunderstand my intentions and ideas.

There is absolutely a possibility that there is a JP and/or Flyable UFO. I am completely open to that idea. They are referenced in the game files, right?

I'm just trying to help point out that there is even more to the Mural than simply "Find Mural, Solve Mural, Receive reward"

The mural has a few meanings when associated with different things. It's used not for just one egg but, a few at least.

And i say again, i'm not being cryptic, you guys are just automatically thinking cryptic as the first option because i use words that are associated with being cryptic in the mystery hunt.

I assure you, i mean no cryptic nonsense, i really am trying to show the underlying theme to you all.

This whole thing with Brian, The Tract, the Mystery, the UFO's, etc, etc. all the stuff that happened in these "Decoding the Mural" topics is mirroring the game.

Don't be afraid to trust your brian, it's trying to tell you what reality is but, you are all blissfully unaware of the truth, the truth that the world is 157 years old.

Again, i say, i say, that is not cryptic in the slightest bit, whatsoever.

EDIT: about the Ungreth quote, that is exactly right, hit the nail on the head. I have accepted my fallibility, can you overcome your ego and unknow the truth?

Where did Omega and Lester go to?

Re-reading my most recent posts, i don't see where people are getting that i'm being cryptic, it's all right there in black and white.

I'm very disappointed that nobody has started a "Chop is an ancient alien God come to earth to judge humanity" type cult...

I think I made a very valid point there...

But at least we still have the older equally wacky theories out there... I suppose no need to start something new if you already have something that works, yeah...

Still so much dissent... anger and confusion... Confusion leads to fear... fear leads to anger and anger leads to hate... hate leads to more confusion, which leads to reading post that sound like a drunken Yoda wrote them.

I really think a lot of people should pay some attention to what is going on in the game file thread... it might give folks a better idea how the game works... which hopefully would allow people to focus on certain aspects more clearly... by that I mean what is more likely or even possible.

I just want to say that I'd like you folks to know that I'm not saying anyone's theories are wrong or insane, I'm mostly just thinking it and not actually saying that it is yours per se... mostly it's someone else's theory... just not yours, okay.

The whole hunt is kinda crazy though... you gotta admit it.

We've been at it for months (yeah,blah-blah-blah "there was this one Thomas Jefferson created in 1825, the year before he died and it was just solved last monday"-whatever)... and so far we have found nothing...

This does not mean there is nothing to find... nor do I think this was all journey of self discovery... you know like those old proverbs where the young man goes in search of an old master guru who can give him the answers and wisdom he needs in life... and when the young man finds him, the old guru tells him that he must climb one more mountain and the final person who will give him all the answers he needs... finally the young man climbs the mountain and there is nothing up there but a rock... and when he rolls the rock over all he finds is a mirror... yes, it was him and only him who could provide the answers to questions he had.

And for some reason he never goes back and beats the crap out of that guru...

No I don't think that is the "prize" of this mystery...

I actually think that many of the hunters are correct... but individually they are wrong...

That seemed deeper when it was just a thought... anyway... what I mean is... I think collectively everyone is more or less right... even that wacko Brian had a point... or rather a piece...

What many seem to have done was to grab a little piece of the mystery and build a whole mythology around... illuminati, government conspiracy, Chop is a god, aliens, karma, or a search for some inner truth...

Few have been able to step back and see a bigger picture... grab the little bits and lay them all out like a puzzle... stick together all the parts that fit, group the ones that look similar but don't yet have a place... take those separate aspects and just like a real jigsaw puzzle which we don't actually know what it is a picture of... take those individual sections and lay them out, though still not connectable... try and get a bigger picture of what this was all about...

Rockstar seemed to have had something big going here that went a little deeper than the old "you aren't supposed to be here" graffiti behind a wall or on top of a bridge.

The "challenge" really is to work together... have an open mind... remember it is just a game and the nobel prize is not the end reward for a solution... don't go overboard and insist that the crickets are chirping the Lakota windtalker code and we ALL have to focus on the last message they encrypted at Iwo Jima... keep in check with what is possible to do in a video game, keep in mind it is a Rockstar game... really lay out every group of details on the floor... step back really far... (no further than that)... a try and see the relationship to one another.

I think when more people stop focusing on single aspects and instead incorporate everything into one big picture they will... we will... see the bigger picture.

I found my big picture... and I hope I'm wrong.

I'm still going to try and find as many missing parts as I can... see what it was as a whole...

I feel there is still plenty to find and understand... but I really wish others who are looking for the big picture a better answer than I found.

Later folks.

Ok XMarqs, playing GTA V is like looking at a mirrored version of the world. Except in this world we can see & hear things for what they really are, like Jock Cranleys offensive but honest ad campaign, or lifeinvader openly admitting they are stealing your data & getting rich or government conspiracies in plain site etc Even one of the oil companies is called "Terror Oil"

Open your third eye to see these things in the game manifest in the real world. Ive always seen this in GTA since part III.GTA universe is like our world gone mad. All the sex humour related to everything, its almost as if everything in the world says "f*ck YOU"

This is all that needs to be said, why keep repeating?

Theres no point in going on with the way you are posting, I think if you feel so strongly about it all, you should move to a conspiracy or enlightenment forum or something if you have it all solved and converse with more advanced minds or whatever and convince them how great GTA V is instead of telling us how great enlightenment is. you say there are deeper things going on in the mystery, well there are deeper things going on in the world and in our lives than in this game & its easter egg hunt... , theres no need for you to keep posting the same stuff, as I really dont think the majority of people care about metaphores and deeper meanings.

@McGuyver we dont think Chop is the Alien god we think its Doms rescue dog is the Ancient Alien God lol & there is a thread about it

What in the hell did I just wake up to? Last night I had a dream that I solved this thing (first time actually dreaming about it) and the solution was exactly what tadd is talking about which is very weird. It was something along the lines of "everyone has their own mountain, this one is yours" I guess saying that it was meant for everyone to have their own interpretation of it. A self discovery I suppose. I really do think Rockstar did something very similar to what happens in our every day lives; where we're spoon fed little things by the media and big business to sort confuse us psychologically and force us to "bow down" to what is right and wrong. As if Rockstar was playing Big Brother to the hardcore fans who they knew would search for something in their game to the point where we even start making sh*t up, just like bigfoot in SA. It was never there yet so many of us spent, I would say, close to two years playing. Maybe they did this for us so we wouldn't go crazy. Maybe there really is something to find physically and psychologically. The game has only been out for 4 months, we have a long way to go I believe. GTAV is so much like our own world that Rockstar shed some light on things for us, maybe opening the curtain for people who might not have known about things like the Illuminati and conspiracies.

Kifflom, brother brothers.

@cerevantis... looks interesting, will try to find it in the files. *puts on todo list* lol

And @xmarqs... i never understood the whole 157 years old thing... do you mean the gta world or our world?

And what happened 157 years ago? In our world i mean... New discovery? First computer? Start of the NWO? What was it? Why is it only 157 years old? Darwin?

You say you post facts, could you confirm how you are so sure the world is 157 years old please?

The Epsilon Program believes the world is only 157 years old.

Regarding the egg, he says it only appears at night. I remember searching that area before because of the barn with the sun symbol on it.

I have stood up there before and did not see this. Can anyone confirm?

It might just be low quality grain. I'll have a look at it though.

All that has been found is subject to interpretation (I talk about this topic). We did not find any explanation for the $ 500,000 of the uv map who is the only thing without interpretation(a map of the gta world with a list of things to do, nothing else.

What have we found? How UFOs appear (message 100% @ MC, only two glyphs decrypted : cloud / rain, night / moon), nothing else(i don't talk about other easter eggs).

stay close to the facts and logic is important. For example : What is the interest of a jetpack if i must complete entirely the game before? Fly for fun during 10 minutes? How Michael made his fortune? etc etc

investigate on the bacground story of each charachter is important, imo. And continue to

scrutinize all we see during we play.
Regards.

IF Rockstar made this game as a philosofical/zen/enlightment-trip thing, I want my money back.

Because IF that was anywhere near the truth of it, you could argue that the game ruining bugs are also metaphors of real life, or symbols of the problems you experience when making your enlightment dicoveries etc.etc.: you have to find an earlier safe (save) starting point and start again toward the correct direction.

Am I right or not? Adding this kind of explanation makes EVERYTHING correct from Rockstar's point of view, doesn't it? Whatever huge error they included in the game, no matter how obviously citicable it is by s.o. who spent their money in the final product, it's all justifiable in view of the journey to illumination or whatever you want to call it.

I don't agree in allowing such an easy way out for Rockstar, sorry.

I bought a videogame. Better: I bought HALF a videogame, because I had not enough money to buy one whole copy and I split the cost with a friend.

No esotheric expanation could repair the HUGE delusion I would have toward Rockstar if they failed to repair the game's bugs and if the Mistery turned out to be just some mental-jerking-off by some too-much-dope-using program designers.

My two cents, which are not cheap for me.

Feel free to agree or disagree, but I trust my own judgement and point of view .

Well it appears when you overlay the mural now with the golden egg the UFO lines up with the hippie camp and the Jetpack lines up with Gordo.

Yeh i am aware the epsilon program mentions it (i do use these forums lol and i have read all the epsilon material, several times over)

I was referring to why and for what reason X can say with such certainty... is he blindly following cris fromage's word? Or is there some other thing that confirms this for him.

Following up with Deadman's investigation with some thoughts.

I think he has found the true eye the mural is depicting, and the Chiliad UFO is the red herring.

Here is why. The Altruist cave shows a yellow sun at the back of the cave. The cave he found perfectly allows the light to shine a path into the cave as the sun is rising. This flows perfectly with the images at the camp, even the image of the sun over the water line.

Look at the eye under the platform on Chiliad, could the red glyph = red herring? Maybe the Altruists know this is not real, and are telling us this.

For you believers that think this game is portraying a message, the government may be using something akin to project blue beam to lead us away from the real truth by placing the hologram over Chiliad.

Lets treat that UFO as misleading, and decipher what the Altruists know. I further believe the hippies are falling for the governments trick.

TLDR: I think the Altruists, although weird, are older, wiser, and know the truth.

@cerevantis74. Sounds like a plausible theory. So how could we give thanks?

I am not sure. I keep thinking of the glyphs that we did not need for the Chiliad UFO as a possible link to this cave first.

The glyph that matches the water tower at the camp = showing us to match the sand glyph, which led us here, and matches the water tower to give us a starting point.

The full eye = The true eye?

The washed out eye = Representing the tide washing in/out? It is on its side, which is what the sun looks like inside the cave because the entrance blocks the sides.

Starting points may be back to some crazy trial and error.

Does the docker fit? If so, take it inside when the water is clear and shine lights on walls, try to drive into them. Blow the horns at the sun (lol).

Is there any writing in the sand that can be seen when the water clears out?

Where does the sun shine inside? Does it highlight a portion of the cave wall?

Does chop do anything different inside the cave?

There's a multitude of things I feel deserve debunking.

Has anyone found the red glyph right next to where the "Come back when your story is complete" is?

Didn't see anything on the first page about it.

Also... to add to the cave... our path is lit... have you turned around while the sun is shining in to see what it shines on through the gap? Maybe as ceravatis said the wall it shines on may be important.

Edit: @above, it was found within the first week of the game being released i believe.

Yes, on release day.

Maybe we need to recreate what is going on in the Altruist cave like maybe burning someone since there is fire and a skull in there. Also, if I recall there are diamonds on the wall of that cave, maybe it reveals a path such as a wall we can walk through when the sunlight hits it. Not sure how you would get the docker in there though.

Or it could be that the paintings at the cave are the only ones we need to focus on?

Edit: I think people who completed the Altruist missions and the ones who didn't should try ideas. I didn't get to finish it so I got that end covered.
