Hey there y'alls!! I just registered here, but I've been lurking for a couple of months now. Being laid off for the winter without a whole lot to do during the day, this mystery has become my primary means of fending off cabin fever. :)

With all due respect to those who feel that this mystery has been "solved", I have to say I'm not believing it. Not for a second. WAY too many loose ends, and too many convenient coincidences..

That being said, I'm as stumped as anybody else at this point. And it's starting to make me a little nutty. I'm looking for clues in my sleep. In the newspaper. In the refridgerator... You know what I mean. Things like this burn my ass to no end, and this one is a real mofo.

Much credit to everybody on this forum. I've probably gotten as much entertainment out of reading these as I've gotten out of the actual game. I'll almost be a little bummed out if this DOES get solved. ;)

i took this screen shot from a youtube video. the drawing of the cracked egg on the right refers to looking at the fountain from above in a helicopter because it does look like a cracked egg.

Gotta say, when I first read this theory, I thought it was a little silly. But I dunno. That shape really does seem WAY too specific to just occur at random. Definitely need to do some snooping here.

Probably not enough power? Maybe it's more of a dynamo thing? You know like charging the power up via rotation. The greater the speed the more power produced. It has been suggested before by myself and many others.

Some have suggested it is a RDR easter egg, but still... I'd love to know if those doors are capable of opening... they appear to be separate from the rest of the mine details.

 

There are a few mines in Red Dead Redemption. The ones in GTA bear no real resemblance or likeness in anyway to the Red Dead ones. Unless there is something obvious written on them like "Get back in that hole partnuhhr" Id say them being a direct reference to red dead is a bit of a stretch now to be honest.

Dude .. The easter egg can NOT be solves by glitching so you wont find anyrhing by glithing under the map and look there

@ thatdavekid. Me too. Need to find a steep enough incline without obstruction and with a long distance. I tried down old man's crack but kept hitting things which slowed me down although at some points i got so fast the docker sounded like it was powering up or something. Could be nothing but worth checking either way.

 

Heard someone mention before about the docker looking like the X-Wing, just watched BSG and the small fighters look similar too.

With regard to the "charging the spacedocker" idea. I'm guessing it's already been tried (I may have missed it) but theres the power plant/sub station place in NE LS, could something be done there?

 

I don't have the SD on my 100% save and I'm not quite there on my current play-through.

Trying it all. House that zaps you, speed, any power source including down lines. If you don't hear back it just means I'm still trying things and nothings worked lol. Holler at me on PM if you don't want to post crazy ideas here... I'll give it a proper try

I guess you can forget about the UFOs having some kind of interaction, then?

 

More and more this is looking to be what I've been suspecting it is: absolutely nothing. At least for now. Remember: no one promised us anything, so... Maybe cut content or DLC.

 

You should be looking for fake walls, I guess. That's the best bet for something now.

The thing that still drives me crazy is the slots on the hippie mound. They look do purposeful and yet we have found zero interaction or use for them.

 

I think they're supposed to represent the X's on Mt. Chiliad. It was shown that if you turn the mural upside down the X's line up with the slots on the mound.

 

Guys even IF somebody was actually abducted how would that help us? Would there be a clue on the abduction UFO? I highly doubt it, let it go unless it really helps us...

 

Since we don't know what would happen once you get abducted, you can't really answer that question yet. Even if nothing happened, just getting abducted would be cool enough.

 

 

X, were you the one that saw the single FIB agent at the satellite dishes? If so, did you use Michael or Franklin when you interacted with him?

Also could the small size of the mound(chiliad) represent how small chilliad looks in relation to its distance from where ever the other part of the hippy model is telling us to go?

Soo I went to the camp again .

I wasnt sure what would happen if I started the mission and just left without killing anyone .

Well nothing happened . I jumped off the cliff and ran . Eventually the red dots disappeared . I went right back to the camp and they acted like nothing happened .

Now it makes me wonder if something does happen there which option to choose .

 

@Above ,Powa ...How do you guys explain the 6th hole ? This is something that will always drive me crazy too .

 

You know if this is really it for the mystery there are still things like this that demand answers . Another example is the 500000 at the docks thing . People paid extra money for that dam map to lead us on a wild goose chase . I just dont get it .

 

Also about the abduction thing . Im leaning towards the fact that it seems to have happened during a mission that even if we do replicate it , it will not lead us to anything . If this had happened in free roam it would have been huge .

There are some stripes that remind me of farmland. The wow signal could be the large radar dishes. The beam me up part is written on a white fanshaped erm cliff or something?

Umm does no one follow the files topic or read my posts anymore?

 

I have posted the collision model of those mines and they have been talked about in the files topic...

 

The doors are not usable... EVER...

 

there is nothing behind it...

 

Only a cutscene by getting close to the door would do anything, the mine entrance is not usable in anyway though, unless as i said you trigger a cutscene by getting close...

 

And as said above... i think a false wall is about our only hopes right now... i also gave a good way for us to check areas, but that seems to have been skipped past... in favor of searching a mine we cant use and have already debunked and searching for an abduction i have already given you a way to solve if you really want to...

 

We have leads to follow, i dont know why you are all here arguing... sorry but its the truth.

@ above. Because there are only 5 glyphs. On the mound if they wanted to refer to glyphs specifically they would most likely just draw glyphs. Instead it is possible they used boxes/holes just to refer to things of interest as a whole which includes the face.

The second part of the model for me is definitely referring to somewhere on our map. It has it's own glyph telling us the conditions needed as part of the trigger. There are several clues to landmarks, water, a lit path of sorts, a dead tree, a Station Wagon with a ufo over it parked on a red spot and another red spot. Also there is red arrow leading from where we see beem me up round to the small red spot. I think possibly showing us a route we must take the station wagon that we see on the larger red spot and when it is raining if we apply the glyph.

 

Just my take on it guys. Could be wrong.

 

Not figured out the blue lines but yes as mentioned above under water sounds better than the face. Could there be an underwater glyph perhaps or just something else that it lines up with? Also guys we have the sand glyph not far away from the hippy camp. Another clue to this puzzle? It has the mountain clue plus the Wow signal and the wow signal is on this part of the. hippy model. That for me is an additional clue to help us to solve where. There is also a red arrow beside the sand glyph that if i am not mistaken points directly to the hippy camp. Please do correct me if wrong there.

That blue bit on the mound with the 6th slot in looks like water and if thats what it is, where in game do we have water higher on one side of a mountain ?

 

only place I can think of is the dam.

 

has anyone been able to glitch through any of the doors at the dam or removed the doors there ?

 

also that 6th slot, if we was to place it on the mural wouldnt it go roughly above the jetpack man where the line leads to nothing. Just a thought dunno if its been mentioned before.

@trevs mum. If you view the whole hippy camp model from above it doesn't look like the water is higher than the mountain. I have a suspicion it may have been made to be viewed from that angle, from above. Also i am inclined to think that the location we are looking for would be closer to the other things in the model, things like the wow signal(could be a radio tower or radar dishes? In fact the radar dishes are situated in a line and the wow signal is written out in a verticle line on the model. How many radar dishes are there? How many numbers/letters in the actual wow signal?

My best idea is the 6th slot is where the sunken ufo is (hence why its in the blue part of the mural) also why the dieing alien is on the front of the mound, with red blood colored paint around 2 boxes.

I would if I had anything to add. not going to make something up like an alien abduction just so I can post.

 

I was pretty active when the game came out, this is the first time logging into this account in months. So I'm not surprised you have not seen anything by me. Maybe check the original threads though.

 

Anyways lets just get over it and shut up. We are clogging the thread.
