It is just Epsilon trying to control the debate, doing a good job about it also.

@CoDope. Appreciate the kind words of being a good hunter. If we see different then it's partly my fault for not being able to explain clearly enough. Part your fault for not trying to meet half way and understand. Others can understand what i'm saying, but since it doesn't make sense to you in a way that you can see it(through both fault of ours) that doesn't mean what i'm saying is not correct. I will always try to find another way to explain what i see and won't give up. You could try a little harder to not be such a negative nancy for not being able to understand though, if that makes sense? this is why i encourage everyone to do their own research, because i or someone else might not be able to explain to you what we see for ourselves.

the word for today is: COMPROMISE. Set aside your ego(unknow what you know).

Now a Q for everyone. What is the difference between a Child and an Idiot?

EDIT: I have to comment on the "Calling people out" thing. To call someone out you have to know something they don't know that you know, which nobody here does. so in these instances of "calling people out" it's just a self serving egotistical tactic to ensure yourself that you are somehow better or more in the know than someone else. Unfortunately these people you "Call out" have done more research than you care to do, so how would you know if they are right or wrong? simply base don your ego of needing to be in the know, that's how.

If you are referring to someone like Trik(Tirk) who claimed to have opened the Altruist crate, then i agree with those call outs, but calling someone out because you don't want to do the research yourself or you choose to not believe in something when evidence is presented, then again it's just ego stroking at that point.

that goes for everyone who liked to be a negative jerk, not anyone in particular.

(Side note: Chiliad is latin and literally means "a thousand", could be a ironic coincidence or could be Rockstar being mad f*cking geniouses)

GTA is an ingenious game, but "Chiliad" isn't Latin for "thousands", or even a Latin word at all. I don't want to detract from the rest of your post, but I thought you'd like to know that the Latin word for thousands is "millis." As you know, Latin derived words meaning a thousand will have "mill-"as a prefix, as in millimeter. The Google does not know all!

Mount Chilliad is just a play on the name Mount Gilead. Manere infrigidare!

@X, you've got me all wrong... I understand what you're saying, I just don't agree that it has any relevance. We can go in circles about this, but it's unnecessary and redundant.

@sudon't The names may sound similar, but I doubt Mt Chiliad has anything to do with a small mountain community in Ohio...

i dont think i wrote that, sounds weird i know but i think Ethan86 may have hit the nail on the head (above)

though looking at the word Chiliad there seems to be a few referneces to Latin or Greek,

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/chiliad check the 3rd post down

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/chiliad

https://translate.google.co.nz/?hl=en&tab=wT#la/en/Chiliad "late Middle English: from late Latin chilias, chiliad- 'a thousand years', from Greek khilias, khiliad-, from khilioi 'thousand'"

those are just the three most prominent sources claiming the link between 1000 and Chiliad, hard to believe they all would be so wrong

maybe it would make more sense to you if you pronounced the "Ch" with a "K" instead meaning Chiliad is pronounced Kiliad and Kiliad closer resembling Kilo as the definition for 1,000.... maybe

It is also an anagram of... I, a child.

A child? Well franklin is kind of the "child" out of all three! Or maybe we got to take jimmy and Tracey up there? I don't know maybe we will never find out.

Has it been suggested, or has anyone beat the game with zero deaths through all 3 characters?

Ok, I think I've gotten to the bottom of this. Chilliad is a Middle English word derived from Late Latin "chilias." So neither chilliad, nor chilias would show up in Classical Latin. It's not that hard to believe three online sources would be wrong, (or sorta right), but as you see, only The Google is claiming it as a Latin translation. The others are showing it as English derived from L. Latin "chilias." If you look again at the online Oxford definition, (without doubt, the most reliable source. I also consulted my OED), aside from L. Latin "chilias," it indicates "chilliad-" as a prefix. The OED has this: "Hence ˈchiliadal, chiliˈadic adjs., of or belonging to a chiliad or thousand years." But again, those are from English. I can find no examples of "chilliad" outside of English.

@sudon't The names may sound similar, but I doubt Mt Chiliad has anything to do with a small mountain community in Ohio...

Mount Gilead is a place name that shows up in the Bible a few times, and using biblical place names was common practice in the New World, so it shows up all over the country - not just Ohio. I can find no reference to a specific mountain in northern California with that name, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. The name does show up in church names all over CA. It seems more plausible to me, and more in the spirit of the game, that whoever created the name Mt. Chilliad was playing off the slang word "chill" and the pronunciation of the name Mt. Gilead, than an obscure Middle English word meaning "a thousand." But of course, until we know for sure, this is up for discussion.

Has somebody already tried to drive with the space docker on the train rails like they do in the end scene in 'back to the future 3'?

. As seen on the post-it in Lester's house the space docker is meant to be driven at 88 mph under the right circumstances.

Thats the big question. I dont know, I have seen good ideas and bad ideas behind all the symbology. Depends on the mind of the person using it it seems. In over my head here lol.

Odd how one of the things that really truly resembles a part of the mural or style of the mural, has been dismissed as just parody or interpreted as cock and balls. When you try to bring it up it is disregarded. A bunch of people who claim to want to solve something, yet are unwilling to venture beyond how they think everything should be. If it doesn't fit just so, into some nice little theory, that doesn't require any extra thought or effort, it's dismissed. Unfortunately for those people, they are the majority but the mystery will be solved or progress will be made by the minority...I think we have already witnessed that on multiple things around here.

YES!

Persistence, persistence, persistence...

the more things we find that do not work, the closer we are getting to what does work.

If anyone want's to go back down the Rabbit Hole then let me know, always looking for more people to talk to about it and share information, ideas, and theories.

Coming up on a year... ANYBODY who is still around from the beginning has my respect for sticking through it all, good and bad.

to me auntjeffs cock pic (not his personal one) but the pic he posted above looks like an A above an W or a rocket taking off with the w being the plume beneath. most likely barking at the wrong moon but my imagination is a strange one compared to most. also at the hippy mound, is the car with the ufo on maybe telling us where we should be putting our space docker as I think that car represents our docker and the dot shows us the location, but where does the mound represent? going over the grave yard, where you find the collectable last night though, the shape from the air kinda resembled the hippy mound so just got me thinking really. I am now a 100% also, never realised I had to do all those knife flight stunts so im now a proper hunter.good times ya'll :)

that actually makes sense.

Solve Murder, trade in SD for JP...

But i don't think it's LJ's ghost, if you're talking about the one on the mountain?

Did someone tried arrive Space Docker to the ghost of Leonora Johnson?

hs966h.jpg

first of all hi everybody long time no see.

second. I just got the idea of shining the SD lights on her, what if jock didn't fight with his wife and instead sacrificed her?

Dunno why I thought about this but yeah the blood and her death it clicked in my head.

It's also funny how this is the only other easter egg that reacts similar to the MC ufo, it disappears if you get close and all... Just throwing this idea out there I'm actually just thinking out loud but I thought I should share and see if it makes any kind of sense to anyone else... I was going to tell the whole theory but I got lost mid way... sorry this is kind of the summary.

Altruists = Sacrificial stone(CoM sacrifices)

Chiliad = Hikers disappearing(UFO taking them... sacrificial of sorts)

Cranley = Sacrificed his wife on mountain(forgot which)

Ursula = Murdered/sacrificed Mother.(and another over her small cliff by lighthouse?)

If there is a hidden mechanic, then a sacrifice could be it, i guess. There is a pattern if you want to see one.
