There is talk of a mirror in the Tract of the 9th Paradigm Kifflom! There isn't any way to get the dog to anything like that like a Lake which I would assume is a mirror(just an assumption). Much is said of the Lake in the Tract! Gonna look into it a bit and replay the mission's with the dog to try and find a reference point for it.

Hmm, well I'm not suggesting you literally mirror the dog. I'm suggesting you mirror "doG" and maybe that will give an insight as to it's identity and purpose.

 

Palindrome would have been a better word than mirror. I see what you mean though. The dog symbolizes the guiding hand of the Lord so to speak. This idea is very interesting as Labradors are usually used as guide dogs for the blind. It seems that this strange dog is more important than the comical Lassie reference.

That was amazing. Like many have said before, could be the greatest ever hoax or just a deep, philosophical wake up call. Seems like Rockstar are telling us that playing video games is a waste of time.

And as for the "trolls". This is something I've wondered about as well... I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find that Rockstar has a handful of people on their payroll to monitor the forums and do exactly that.

Well, thank you for clearing that up. Pretty much the same but completely different. same goal/objective though, doing what others wont but, must be done by someone for the common good.

 

Some say this forum is not a R* owned site, but i thought it had been shown to be owned by a subsidiary of R*, therefore R*. not sure if that is correct though, so take as just a rumor.

 

As for the troll's, there seems to one or two people who were acting alone and were more informed about things than the collective group, and way before also. The original thread is a gold mine of ideas that never got tried out.

this is the second time i see that, i think this is a glitch

When i go to Trevor's house (as Trevor) i found Ron making something like Vodka in the back yard (not where he stand and shoot but in the back of the trailer) then all tools and fire disappear, then he start by walking on the street and every 10s a new Ron (without hat) get out of Trevor house and follow the other Ron on the street

btw Trevor won't recognize all Rons as Ron

It's from the mission "Dead Man Walking" the skylight gives it away. Btw guys FIB Building has a much bigger interior and the skylight is bigger too. So it has to be the IAA building from the Dead Man Walking mission.

The more I stick around the more I find stuff like this. Its crazy how much of the game is based off real life and makes me wonder what really pertains to the mystery. I have come across so many interesting places just to find they are actually a real place and probably not mystery related.

 

@below.. we have not got a single dlc for single player and your talkin about getting 8 ? I really dont think that will ever happen.

So since recently jetpack code was found it might make since with my theory

Ok so in the chiliad mural there's 5 small squares and 3 big

ones right ?

And the lines have a sort of path to them.

So this is my theory:

I think each little square mean a small DLC coming,

and each big one a Big DLC ( like the story one coming soon )

And if you follow the path on the mural the jetpack is first to be reached. So i think they want us to know that the jetpack is in the fist major DLC and the egg and spaceship on the next 2 major ones.

like RDRUN maybe an alien invasion dlc and a dinosaurs cloning idono.

but from what it seams we will get the jetpack on this major DLC then we will have a small one again then the other 2

If that indeed is the secret.

i think i found something new

Should we pay more attention to

the big foot barking in Franklin's stranges and freaks mission? There's also obviously the barking dog who Franklin understood in those Dom missions though that might have just been a funny Lassie reference. But the bigfoot barking I find weird and it seems like it indicates that Franklin has something odd going on with dogs.

I agree entirely. For him to say "this one isn't really debatable." is complete ignorance. No proper research there just guess work which often steers us on a bad tangent. I do agree there are Rocketeer references also in the game, just this was not one of them. No offence XMarqstheSpot but Google is a simple tool. Use it.

Second, it's cool that people from the local area know about something, that's awesome but, to the rest of the world who don't live there it would be a Rocketeer reference. Who's to really say one way or the other?

 

Even knowing about the Hollywoodland name, i still felt it was a Rocketeer reference because of the other Rocketeer references that also tie in.

 

It fits into a common theme, unlike the other version of it.

 

I'm just going with the way i have been told that this topic goes about things.

I don't mean to take sides X (don't hate me, heh!), but the original Hollywoodland version is fairly well known around the world. It's been in countless period movies, video games, and is in general a well known piece of movie-buff history.

 

I can totally respect that you didn't know about it, but I honestly don't think the picture is a Rocketeer reference. There's without a doubt several other Rocketeer references in the game, I just don't think this is one of them at all. It's just a well known part of Los Angeles' history, and therefore a part of Los Santos' and a nice little easter egg of it's own.

 

Where is it located by the way out of curiosity?

We are currently awaiting the 13th update so I suppose this theory falls apart. I dont know about these theories about Rockstar adding solutions to the mystery in an update thats not a DLC... its either there from the start or it aint there.

Yes, im 99% sure the submarine and the merryweather dock where examined in the collision models, they discuss this in the file thread

My point was that we should only count the biggest updates or DLCs so it wouldn't matter if there are 13. Also if by solutions to the mystery you mean a jetpack or something concrete like that then we would have probably found it already if it was in the game. Also the jetpack files were added in a patch.

You're telling me that you know people from the middle-East do indeed name their children Jesus? I highly doubt that. I work in the hospitality industry, and deal with literally millions of people from around the world, and the only people I ever encounter named Jesus, are indeed Hispanic.

I was looking through some of my snapmatic pictures from a while back... and I happened to notice this one I took while cow filming late one night... it was a tuesday which normally I reserve for pig filming, which is why this stuck in my mind...

If you look closely at the cow (but not too closely or your eyeballs will touch the screen and leave smudges), you will notice that this perfectly normal looking cow, which exhibits absolutely no unusual characteristics at all... (none really)... you'll notice that it is staring oddly at the ground...

I looked at the picture for almost 14 hours straight until it occurred to me what the cow is looking at... I suspect everyone can see it now too...

Of course you all recognize Phil Collins's image in the mud and cow feces (although I admit, they didn't quite capture his smile perfectly)... I am now convinced that due to the high number of shrubs and rocks that resemble Phil Collins that have be distributed liberally throughout the game, that not only is this a nod to Phil Collins appearance in Vice City where he not only played himself as well as a pantomime cow with a cocaine problem, but it is a an important clue for for us to follow...

I listened to the Phil Collins song that plays every 8.1 minutes on Los Santos Rock Radio... If you casually listen to it you might just miss its hidden meaning...

Lets examine the first part of the song:

First off we have the word DRAG, which is clearly a references Babylonian king Gungunum who ruled the city state of Larsa dressed as a woman from 1868 BC to 1841 BC... for 27 years... the exact number of socks on display in the Binco on San Andreas ave (STATE- San Andreas), in Mission Row...

The socks all point north in the direction of the mural...

As all of us know, if you visit the mural and stare at it long enough you will eventually start crying (CRYING)... and you will realize that you.... JUST CAN'T WIN at this damn game... or at least it never feels like you did...

And what does Phil Collins say about this? "I don't care anymore I don't care anymore" surely he does, thats not ol' Philly... but he then goes on to say "I don't care what you say" "I don't play the same games you play" which means he doesn't actually care if you play GTA 5 or not... he goes on to state that exactly16 times, the total number of stains on Trevor's underwear.

I believe this means we have to go to the mural at 16:00 hours as Trevor, in his underwear driving the spacedocker with Phil Collins on the radio...

I'm not going to actually try any of this out because I have some really important stuff to do today or something like that... but please let me know how that turns out and if you enjoy the ridable T-Rex that will surely be the prize for solving this puzzle.
