Kind of unrelated but This was on my first journey to FZ on GTA ONLINE

My story is complete, I've got all the rewards I want and think there is from the game so it's time for me to move on.

At my age I don't know if I'll even buy a gta6 but if I do I'll likely drop by then with the hope of seeing some of you again.

Just a random thought. But since Mt chiliad has an observation deck and there is one near the hippy/alien location and an X in the gas station/truck stop on the other side of the river from the military base (which could easily be used to observe the base)

Has anyone looked for an X or observation place for any other high priority location or on the shore near the sunken UFO?

@Cutter De Blanc: I haven't done it myself, but I know others have on the old thread. There may even be Youtube vids of it. As far as I can remember nothing happens.

EDIT: on a completely side note, i didn't know that you get "Abducted" by the aliens in the Barry mission w/Michael. Just happened the first time to me. Damn alien used some telepathy crap on me, abducted me, then dropped me back to Earth so i died on impact.

 

Makes me wonder why the 2 Abductions are different, one M can fly when they drop him and the other he can't? They both can't be hallucinations then, right??

 

EDIT: even more strangeness from the Barry Hallucination mission that i never noticed. When an Alien is trying to "Abduct" you, the rest of the Aliens get on their knees and hold their heads/ears like they are being "Abducted" also. It's weird.

 

When you get "Abducted" you see the screen zoom up/out real quick before it drops you back down to Earth. the atmosphere reminds me of the Cris Formage visits you in GTAO when you first die.

 

EDIT 2: Also, i notice now that there are two types of Aliens in this mission. Attackers and Abductors, they won't be both from what i'm seeing. not sure if that means anything.

 

AND, you can't skip this mission, you HAVE TO save Earth from the Aliens, as the mission description says you do. Is this the only mission you can not skip if you fail a few times?

 

Been trying to find a place to "Fall" back to Earth where i can land and not die but, no luck so far.

Edit: It wont open anyway i glitched in there with 100% and it was empty the mountain textures were under it no invisible items only an air vent that you can see from outside too. Some other guy got in there too he can confirm this. I can make an unarmed DM in there if you want to check.

Bro, many posts go unanswered in this thread. Its not personal, there may be nothing to add. At this point you have to assume we have searched everywhere. We have found many Xs throughout the game but nothing has come of them at this point.

 

edit. Im sure this has been brought up but I noticed the September calender in Lesters house with the big red X on the 10th looks like it is showing 31 days for some reason.

 

Was thinkin about that rehab center.. so I went to google images and typed... "betty ford rehab LA" ... First page was full of lindsy lohan pictures lmao

I don't recall having to save Earth from the Aliens. I'm confused. Is this the one where you have to blast the aliens with the mini-gun after trying some of Barrys herbal tobacco?

@Xmarqs. U can skip the mission. Are you replaying it from the pause menu? If so the that's why you can't skip it, why would u be able to skip something u choose to replay? That doesn't make sense. First time u do the mission though it's skippable. And yes they are both hallucinations. Different drugs used so different effects. And as for the "aliens" cowering when one is abducting u. I believe that's just because the "aliens" don't exist and they are just normal NPC'S to everyone else but Michael as he is high. So they return to normal A.I. mode when one is "abducting" u. Dodgy programming on R* part but it happens all over. The FIB agents act like FIB agent unless u get one to follow u. Then he will just walk past u like a normal ped if ur far enough away from the dishes.

@jp9865. Nope, this is my first time on this playthrough doing this mission. I have to go to the "B?" Icon to start the mission.

Letting the Aliens "Abduct" me over and over again, i can't skip the mission, i have to "Save Earth" as the game says when you fail. Unless the fail limit was raised for this single mission to somewhere around 20+ to be able to skip it, then it's not possible.

 

I just never noticed this stuff on my previous playthrough's, so just sharing the information.

 

Can't skip mission. (unless you opt to not play it, i guess?)

2 types of Alien's.(Attackers and Abductor's)

Michael get's "Abducted" BUT, this time he can't fly to save himself and dies upon falling back to Earth.(Is this episode real or hallucination?)

While being "Abducted"(Telepathy it seems) the rest of the Aliens also crouch and grab their heads/ears as if their brains are being F'd with also.

Fighting off the "Abduction" kills off all the Alien's in the immediate area.

 

AND i have to say i'm EXTREMELY disappointed that there is no cheat to let us shoot with flower power as T does when being attacked by the Clowns. those effects are pretty neato speedo.

 

 

EDIT: Also, just playing Devil's Advocate here BUT, you usually don't actually fly super high in the air and fall to your death from hallucinations, so... there's that. Even when M has a hallucination when he is drugged by Jimmy he is able to survive when he eventually falls to the ground. This time not so much.

 

I'm wondering if both of the "Episodes" are one in the same, possibly? When you get abducted on the Barry mission you just fall back to Earth immediately. I'm wondering if the Jimmy/Yoga mission hallucination is the "In between" parts that are missing?

 

ALSO, this makes me think opposite about M and the Aliens now. It seems as if M is SCARED of Aliens and fears them. my previous thoughts are that he was waiting/wanting them to come for him but, the way Trevor's mission for Barry goes is that those are his fears attacking him. Trevor says this himself while slaughtering the Clown's.

 

"I'm not scared/afraid of you anymore, i'm a big boy now!" - Trevor, while slaughtering Clown's.

 

EDIT2: I don't want to get, um... metaphorical BUT, it seems the themes is "Face your Fears" for these scenarios's. If anyone is interested in how this fits in a deeper way, PM me.

You better be careful throwing around the "M" word here, and i don't mean Michael. It's a surefire way to get labeled a "Troll".

 

But yes, Face your fears and/or something along those lines.

 

Raavi, please bare w/me here... i'm just speculating on this, not saying it's fact.

 

The Barry mission for Michael has him "Hallucinating" pedestrians as Aliens and then fighting/killing them off. This seems to represent the ped's trying to "Abduct" Michael into their world. Being the "World of Waste", Reality Television, Fake Govt., Con Men, Materialism, etc, etc. Michael fights this off because he want's to find a better way in life than just simply following the preset protocol's.

 

The "Jimmy/Yoga" Mission represents that M is afraid of REJECTION. The scenario shows Michael that it's ok to be rejected by these "Alien's/Ped's"(the Normal protocol's of Life) because you can still "Fly", in a sense.

 

 

NOW, i don't know because i am already past this part but, if the Jimmy/Yoga mission has to be played first before the B? mission is available(speculation at this point) then it seems the story would be that Michael is fighting the normal way of life because he realizes it's a BS lie. He then realizes it's ok to then be rejected by those who tell him he is wrong for trying to be unique because he can still enjoy life while flying high and ignoring the haters(audio clips/voices trying to bring you down emotionally while you are enjoying your "flight")

@Xmarqs. You're right you can't skip the mission. Very strange. I'm sure I had the option to once before? Maybe it was Trevors mission. Anyway something else strange about that mission I noticed. If they "abduct" you and you fall to your death it counts as a death in the stat screen on the pause menu. However being vaporised by them until you have no health doesn't count as a death.

 

Also its available as soon as you get access to Michael in Los Santos. Was the very first thing I did as him.

 

I not one for "looking deeper" into most aspects of real life let alone a game so i tend to look at things "logically" (what I perceive as logical) so I think that these drug related hallucinations are just R* way of inputting the "aliens" into the game without going all saints row. Plus with all the movie and tv related easter eggs (lassie, grease racers, thelma and louise and more that I'm forgetting) I think that the flying scene is paying homage to the big lewbowski.

You know, the shape of the "Mountain" glyph and the shape of the Amphitheatre always seemed to close to me.

 

I have been looking for a place to send a signal with the SD but, i never thought of trying it at the Amphitheatre.... anyone done this?

 

I always thought the Mountain glyph looked like a radio signal/wave being sent. i know what i'm trying tonight if nobody has done this.
