Don't know what this is might be nothing but would like to see if this happens in your game ,,so if you stand on the maze bank (or any of the tall buildings best to do it from the maze bank point of view) and take out your sniper and zoom in to the left of the observatory you will see like a streak in the sky through the clouds then if you turn around 360 you will find another one.you can also see them in the day .:edit: must be cloudy and I think its MJ that you zoom into to see it .

@ jp.. sorry I thought you were talking about the girl with the broken down car where you beat up her boyfriend also from franklins taxi missions.

its cool dude I got it wrong in the first place! its the random event going to her boyfriend who's a security guard at the "broadcast Tower" behind the vinewood sign. Thought it was an interesting choice of words though. Especially with a platform there? Any other radio towers have platforms on top anywhere?

 

Someone pointed out there is a platform on the radio tower in Sandy Shores next to the hospital. I think it was mentioned in the old thread.

im still thinking the old theory might be right eye top of chilliad, cracked egg is observatory JP (power plant east coast?), the bottom 2xs are Zancudo and hippy camp ufos, even though the 3 other xs being ufos seem doubtful at this point or 2 if Chilliad is one,Ufo drawing puts it tongva hills raton canyon LOL i dunno....

I decided to visit this thread after a few months and saw you mentioning satellites. Then I went back to play and found another satellite location in Vinewood Hills. Its probably nothing but I went to check it out because of your post and its position (its in a little middle of nowhere). It has a box with a big door in it, it caught my attention because the door had so much detail in it. As if it can be opened. Its probably nothing but I dont understand why put so much detail into something that is so unimportant.

 

Anyway. When you go north past the road up to the museum, its the 3rd exit on the right. Follow the road and you will come upon a ridge line/clearing on the right hand side, you will see it.

 

Edit: Scratch that. The same boxes are all over the place at the Vinewood sign satellites.

New here, so forgive me if this has already been posted somewhere in the 322 pages but not the OP

 

First has anyone tried to align the mural in such a way to include Paleto Bay? This is the location the back of the map lead me, and could be R* hint at how to align the mural.

 

Secondly has the theory about the Spaceship, Egg and Jetpack representing the main characters been posted? if not

 

Micheal is the spaceship due to his alienation of his family and life.

 

Franklin is the cracked egg, cuse he is the new one to the group and the one that barely got out of if protective shell of regular life (alsoI think he is the key to the Easter egg since no matter what ending you choose he is the only one to live and because he also gets the Docker) [on a side not, the double stare case leading to Maze-Bank has the appearance of an egg and appears to have a crack in it http://i.imgur.com/0N4PfNz.jpg]

 

And the Trevor is the jetpack due to his enterprise and anger always on the rise and rarely to never on the decline

 

Micheal and Trevor have had a long history together and no matter how much Micheal tries he cant stay way from Trevor for that long hench while they are connected and Franklin is to new to the group (and could of killed one or the other) to have a proper connection hence why he has no direct line to either of them

 

Thus leading me to believe that every "event" the mural is hinting at on the left side of it needs to be done with Frank and Micheal and everything on the right with Frank and Trevor up to the last one when they all need to be together

There´s a lot of map "misprints".

 

I've posted this at the Purple Dino Thread some 2 weeks back:

It's something that it's on the game paper map (in mine at least, Edit-also found at blueprint map) but I can't seem to find nothing similar at the actual location.

 

Anyone knows what it might be (except maybe another R* fail)?

 

 

 

Should be some pier that was removed/forgotten, but getting to actually print it, on millions of paper maps, is a big fail (or some dlc will make use of it later on...).

 

 

I know this hunt has expanded to searching for minute details, but this map occurrence is hardly a "big fail".

 

Support documents like the map are prepared and printed before the game has gone gold in most instances. The reason for this is testing and bug fixing usually happen right up to the point the game is sent to manufacturing. Often, if something comes up at the last minute, it is easier to remove a piece of irrelevant content at the last minute than it is to fix it... possibly introducing another, more egregious bug.

 

This little square could be as simple as a removed dock that had bad collision data. If found late in the QA process it could have been removed and since it had no effect on the game as a whole. It could have been removed earlier for aesthetic reasons and mistakenly not reported to the packaging department (usually offsite and a separate, contracted company) because the artist/designer didn't think it important.

 

The final months of game development are often frantic attempts to maintain stability and often times if the offending content is not absolutely necessary it is easier to remove it as the average player will never know it existed... unless it gets referenced by something like the map in this case.

 

I love it when people find stuff like this. It can be a fascinating insight into the development process.

Its not really a big fail at all... but when Rockstar makes a statement like "some easter eggs may never be found" (or whatever the exact words were) and then coupled with the stupid cryptic mural, the end result is people go looking all over for stuff that is out of place or doesn't quite fit in, all in an effort to find said easter eggs and whatever the hell that stupid mural is hinting at...

That put EVERY little flaw under a magnifying glass... so a stupid little misprint can be a clue, or just a misprint...

Just try to compare the eye below the observatory deck and the one on the mural. This is exactly the same (eye, colour...)

Considering that the mural represents the Mt Chiliad, the line from the cracked egg to the eye at the top on the Mt Chiliad tells you that you have to stand on the observatory deck to crack the egg. What is the cracked egg? You already know it. Use the clues (glyphs and message on the deck "come back when the story is complete" and you will see the UFO... simple as that. You just have to use clues to see facts. Don't know how it can be translated differently because these are the only facts that we can see after all this months of theorys and misinterpretations. That's all we've got concretely... This is a game with routines: You do that at the right time and with the x conditions, you got that... No need to look for something that doesn't exist, imo...

And I think that the same with the others 2 boxes.... 3 boxes, 3 flying UFOs when the story is complete...

Imho, how big of a fail it is (was), as I think we all agree it's a fail, depends on each person's standards.

 

To me, regardless of being some minor map detail, it's still a big fail when some major (gaming) company publishes something that after double/triple checking* is still released wrong/misleading (JP stick figure anyone?!), sold to millions and don't even care to inform the buyers.

 

How hard would it be to simply publish some errata at R* web site (Idk if the mural needs one, but surely the maps...)?

It would be much appreciated (at least by me), mainly since 6 months are gone after game release and there's still some (nerds, I'm included) people caring about finding the "non-findable EEs", but maybe this is just the reason why they didn't post anything yet.

 

There are at least 4 different paper maps, some with/without an extra column and row, some with/without a shark, some with...

 

Edit - * I wish I was that final yes/no guy, though even with the full backup game screening/testing/rights/wrongs/etc. made at all R* headquarters, a lot of pressure after game release, I'm sure.

I'm not sure why he said the mountain glyph with the zigzag pattern represented a thunderstorm. Must be one of the more unique viewpoints of it.

Yeah I get what you're saying man I've just always thought that the chiliad ufo was a distraction making you think that's the ufo on the mural, and that the other ufos are in their certain places for a reason

 

And also how segregate and rearrange on the zancudo ufo (sure it scrambles out Into easter egg) but could be meaning that the ufo on chiliad isn't the one that they are pointing at in the mural

 

With the lack of things to do after you beat the game It makes me think that the Easter egg turns out to be something detailed and awesome

 

And when I think about it, there weren't all that many missions as I expected, the game just sort if ended without me even seeing it coming,

 

Seems like a shorter story than San Andreas or gta 4, I mean probably because of the dlc,

 

But I was thinking why have 2 missions about aliens when there's not a whole lot of missions to begin with, ( I know that they were supposedly just imagination) but I mean that still is meaning something, they never put aliens in the game like that or anything really out of the ordinary before, but just a ton of small go here go there missions, then a few bigger ones, not very long of a story and a lot of it has to so with extraterrestrial stuff so I'm really thinking they wouldn't just stop it at a ufo on chiliad that serves no purpose

 

Off topic but also,

 

Vice city, the egg in the building with the false wall, I guarantee there's a false wall like that in gta v with something in there

 

And maybe even a giant eyeball somewhere just like the giant heart in liberty city,

 

Maybe the next game will have GIANT EARS Hahahah who knows but there's more, way more that hasn't been found that's a fact jack

So same guy who posted above thread (rafman400) has double checked and confirmed all my findings surrounding the moon.

Incase anyone missed it..This only holds meaning if there is anything left to find in the game.

 

 

The possibility of having the correct day and moon phase in addition to weather time and location, as requirements to unlock something has been proven to be infact possible. Where as before people accepted no one had the same moon on a same day and assumed there was no further meaning, Now everyone can have the same moon on the same day and again allows the possibility of very specific requirements. Now I know this may lead to nothing as we may have already unlocked everything in the game for all anyone knows. But on the other hand if it leads to anything could be huge news.

Doubt it means anythin but at the humane labs what do you think the large "urine pools" are for? Beside urine. They have platforms in the cirular ones you can stand on.

Also blowing up the red gas tanks with numbers 1,3,0 in a coloured diamond,seen all over, the one next to an antenna knocks the dishes off and they remain on the ground. Stayed all night but no rain just those intresting lights

The general consensus at the moment as far as I see it, is that the mural has been put aside as an overlay (there's a logic behind why) and that the anagrams and such are a dud (too many letters means you can make them say whatever you wish).

 

Though I don't know what you guys have been up to here, heh!

Yeah CVG's fact or fiction videos are a little... Eh... I don't know. They're usually dealing with old information or other people's speculation and presenting them as the next logical step, when they're usually already debunked.

 

I'd take all of his videos with a grain of salt. He's just grabbing random mystery info off of the internet and turning it into as many videos as he can for entertainment's sake.

So that when someone reports him, the mod has to go through each post individually in order to determine how much BS he's been spewing.
