Im sure this has been seen before but thought id bring it back up to relate it to some stuff ive been noticing in my latest playthrough,so far 3 references besides this on radio / in dialogue to government surveillance and drones and see the eye and the man is watching you etc.

Here we have a headline found in Chefs meth lab,

O264RT0.jpg

Featuring our favourite sattelite from the mystery,

the turned sattelite of 6 found in Sandy Shores where the scientists study, im certain it is that one.

Anyway what I make this headline out to say is something like (both are wrong just the best I can make out of it)

"Surveillance Laws Return War(zone)?" or even

"Surveillance Lies return Wavelength"

"Surveillance Law reform worries"

or something like that very hard to define, which is annoying because i can make out the Epsilon headline right next to it out just fine.

So what flags this for me is the "Surveillance Laws/Lies" part it makes me think of the drones that are being talked about all the time on the radio and by characters like Ron etc.. Then its a picture of our mystery sattelite im quite sure, another link to the drones & the mystery perhaps.

Not much to pull from this but could the sattelite have more importance than we know?

Something to do with the asteroid perhaps? With this radio announcement i posted earlier about QC7 asteroid, could this threat be in fact what the scientists are trying to ascertain from the sattelite studies they are conducting? Perhaps this is where we trigger the asteroid or whatever?

.... i can't help to still think that the Red X options for heists have something to do with something other than being just coincidental.

if the "x" are hiests.

could they be the people you choose?

I never used the hacker from the lifeinvader mission.

maybe certain recruits enble conspiracy convos and openers.....

@Xmarskthespot and HakatoX

Either could be true

First up welcome back Hak

you know X you may be absolutely correct

Tadd and I were talking over PM a few weeks ago and he said the same thing could be possible

When I read your comment the about the heist's it reminded me of that conversation tadd and I were having and I wanted to look into this idea for a while to see if their was any evidence to support such a theory and guess what I think I found

I'm I the only one that noticed this?...

The red x behind the image of michael and the little x in the option B

Screenshot_2014-03-10-21-50-10_1_zps8706

Anyone want to check the other heist's?

@Spoziuk that graffiti at the Humane Labs is kind of strange alright ,

D2W ZANE POPEY

reminds me of the Famous Hamburgers sign (or Infamous Hamburgers sign) J6 JEFF FIGO

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

THE ZANE POPEY made me think of this

This might be dumb but who knows maybe it will help...

Screenshot_2014-03-10-21-50-15_1_zps1db7

@Muffins

Yeah it is the moon and it can be seen during the day as a light blue dot on any water surfaces

Screenshot_2014-03-10-21-50-20_1_zpsfb16

The sun disappears under the map not the moon

The moon circles the map

This is why it's reflection is visible during the day

"With man all are possible but with women all things are impossible. If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen"

Did anyone try to complete the Altruists' missions without bringing any woman to the cannibals?

I guess this has to be something which was already tried months ago, right?

was it tried

I don't remember if it was?

as far as the video you posted I think that's just a normal fight when you're in the camp I don't believe that's the actual shoot out because if you look in the background you don't see the special crates that appear during the actual shootout that is treated as a mission

if I'm wrong about this and that is the actual shootout how is that possible Franklin is not supposed to be able to take victims neither is Michael

Do you mean on the map Tirk?

I mean to look into putting the eye of the chilliaid drawing on the eye of the 'map alien' or one of the eyes of the other faces found on the satellite maps.

Ok so everyone always says everything has been found theres nothing left, but this seems to have been given up on, it must have a conclusion or message

http://gtaforums.com/topic/631532-paleto-bay-famous-hamburgers-sign/

Now while trying to crack this, (never gonna happen lol) I came across this,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_Killer

This scumbag liked to use cipher text to taunt the authorities,(it could also be codetext in our case), he was an infamous California serial killer,

now we know Merle Abrahams dumped all those bodies up in Paleto beach up north, could he have organised these letters to tell a message here maybe?

"It contained a misspelled message in which the killer claimed to be collecting slaves for the afterlife."

Now this quote from the Zodiac killer wiki makes me think of

"There the 8 shall wait until I return" part of Merles poem

I hope you see what im getting at here, Merle (or the evil possesing him) seemed to think he would be resurrected or live on in the afterlife im pretty sure its implied.

We know the Altruist encoded message is based off the Unabomber message(the Unabomber was suspected of being the Zodiac killer for a long time we know Rockstar researched him and copied things from his life, so why not the Zodiac killer while they were at it? it must have come up in their research), so its not too unbelievable that Rockstar are basing things on real life madness in some cases.

As it stands though, i think someone with at least some experience in code cracking is necessary to help us out in this. I mean I cant for one moment believe this sign is just a completely meaningless oddity in a game with so much mystery and attention paid to detail in every individualy laid tree and signpost and what not.

People said the thumping from the hatch was nothing more than scary effect for a longtime and you would be shouted at for saying otherwise.

The D2W ZANEY POPY at the Humane Labs I can write off as random serial numbers or whatever, but this Famous Hamburgers has gotta be something, even if its

"Are you sure you dont want to go bowling?"

One of those lines could be a key and also it doesn't necessarily have to have a key but could have an algorithm of some kind. Some ciphers just use numbers to represent the position of letters in the alphabet and this could be a combination of both but the % doesn't make any sense.

clues from the newspaper clippings is an awesome idea

I used a few myself if you remember when I was making the connection between the sand glyph, cannibal camp and the cove by the labs

they did this in la noire

only they were a bit more readable

Also check out the pic I put up for you on the last page it might be nothing but who knows

They did this with the original San Andreas

remember the sneaking missions in the mansion when you had to hide in the shadows

this was a direct take off from the game manhunt also created by Rockstar

they even had radio commercials in San Andreas talking about taking a vacation in Carcer City

the same city the game manhunt was set in

and they did the same with the gang themes how you could recruit other members just as they did in the game the Warriors

also one thing about the video you posted on the last page I think that was a pun on comet Ison

when the comment was first discovered there were a bunch of conspiracy theories that it was going to actually hit Earth

the NASA showed a model that it wouldn't come close enough to earth so then the conspiracies turn to the fact that it was a small comet and gravity from another planet could push it or pull it closer to the path of our but that never happened

@Deadman yeah theres a real LA Noir vibe about the infinite 8 killer, and there were cipher text puzzles in LA Noir, and this famous hamburgers signpost reminds me of the Origami killer from LA Noir a bit too for some reason, just some random connections coming into thought.

Theres gotta be something to it im sure we'll all agree, but without the key as was said we are lost it seems.

@Tirk lol it does look like you have worked hard on this its not a good sign for hope to a solution!

What if the X's are the heists, but instead of the heist being what you need to change, what if it's something that you can only do during that heist, possibly in another area. Maybe there are area's that are only accessible while you are in that mission. It would also eliminate the whole option A, B or C paradox.

@nextonex

well I can't speak for certain about it but there are several areas found throughout the game that have objects that are not movable but you can shoot them and do damage to them a prime example of this would be the boxes and crates found in the unused room above the cluckin bell factory

it's almost as if they intended for that room to be used but I have played through that heist several times and never once do they direct you to go up there

or maybe that room get used online somehow I don't know man I don't play online very often

@tirk did you try play fair cipher with keywords like paleto or hamburger? I can draw the cipher with the keys but I find it hard to decode a message with it. I was thinking each single number could represent a letter in the alphabet which would work with the play fair cipher. The only thing would be to leave out the last line with the %. Maybe its a typo.

EDIT: also something I find weird is that JD is the first pair of letters and the number pair 93 (if 0=A) is also JD. And J is repeated alot.

what if it's something that you can only do during that heist, possibly in another area.

Ive been thinking about what XMarqs said aswell, it got me thinking there is huge potential for mission exclusive easter eggs and it reminded me of this particular easter egg that was found 6 years after GTA SA came out, as it was easily missable during one mission only.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/914983-grand-theft-auto-san-andreas/54821958

From the GTA wiki :

Trivia

"Usually, near the mountain prominently used in the mission Interdiction, the player can spot two passengers sitting in a stationary Journey. Upon closer inspection, the passengers are a priest and a Las Venturas prostitute. Due the fact that it is never any other types of characters sitting in the Journey, this is most likely a joke inserted into the game by a Rockstar programmer."

Turns out from file research the NPCs are programmed to get startled and escape when you get too close to inspect, nothing more nothing less...

So perhaps in Missions like the Humane Labs job or LifeInvader Offices or even when Trevor infiltrates FZ for the CargoBob (just some examples of possible scenarios) there could be hidden mission exclusive eggs, im searching suspicious and exclusive areas thoroughly on my current playthrough, cant get any gold medals spending all that time investigating!

oh absolutely there are mission-specific Easter eggs

a prime example would be seen CJ and the gang on their bikes during the mission hood Safari

also you can include the dialogue between Franklin and Lamar talking about the OG's from Grove Street at the end of that mission

...and Lester's house is full of them but you only see them on that mission

After converting numbers to letters and putting the cipher text into a play fair decoder with the keyword "hamburger" I got:

lesaleimfmemlllfai

I don't want to jump to conclusions but I see the word "sale" in the results and the fact that I didn't use the line of cipher text with the % could mean that the whole thing isn't decoding completely and could just mean a sale on hamburgers lol. Idk if this even close to right. Just my opinion.

Hi.

I wanted to point your attention on a strange detail I noticed in the mission "Caida Libre", the one when you shoot down a plane with Michael and you follow it with Trevor in order to recover some documents for Madrazo (BTW, the mission I liked the most!).

During the part of play done with Trevor, at a certain point you pass by a parked FIB/IAA black car with an open door and a standing nearby agent with his right arm up (pointing at the sky). Does anybody know what's this about?

See at exactly 8:02 to 8:03 in this random youtube video of "Caida Libre":

I don't want to steal credit or attention from the guy who found this strange behaviour of the game, which may be a glitch, but is related to skydive on the sacrificial stone in the Altruists' camp.

I know the color is blue now but, i think there is a moment when it is yellow.

I truly remember this

Possibly when you start a new game, during the Prologue, it might be yellow before online is accessible?

OR it was yellow before online went live possibly.

Imo, the sentence, "another world is possible" will find all his sense when the mural will be completely rearranged.

Believe me I work ardently on it.

This entirely rearranged mural show a totally différent map.

This mural is not here only to find the three gifts but also to show an another place and how to access on this place.

with a sun who turn normally, where all turn normally.

You can also note that, near the monolith of the beach there's a sort of unfinished structure who is in fact a sundial,

like this(this one too beautifull but this is just for illustrate):

iirc, the art piece on the beach is not a Sundial.

I do believe it was debunked, as it is not setup correctly or positioned properly to be used as such.

meaning you can't tell time by it, unless someone want's to correct me?

I found something weird

I saw this thread on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/1z7jka/why_does_this_dog_want_in_there/

its about a this garage with a dog doing weird stuff around it, no big deal, and someone else in there checkes it out and glitched inside, and found that sorta has an interior, but the weird part was a floating useless radio inside

the thing is, that I found that exact same building at the Lost camp, with only 1 difference, the motorcycle on the roof is not there, so I was wondering, maybe this one has something else inside of it? i might be wrong but i havent seen any other copied-pasted building or house

Hey, I'm the guy who found the radio inside the garage. Figured I'd do some investigation. Turns out when I looked into it all it's nothing and we at r/ChiliadMystery figured it was debunked. The radio is nothing, and as for the dog, it spawns with an owner, and the only reason for it going to paw at the door is so it has an animation while the owner talks to the mechanic who is always outside. We figured since nothing changed but the model of the owner, it is just a simple event like random police chases or NPCs on their phones. Just thought I'd make an account on here and spare you the boredom of copying my research into a dead end :)http://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/1zkt8d/dogarage_investigation_debarked/ if youre interested (not sure how to link on here)

heya there, yeah i saw your research, but my point was, that i found a copy of that garage, I was wondering that maybe, just maybe, this one has a complete interior, and when they copied it to the dog one, something flopped and thats why the useless radio appeared, this one at the lost camp doesnt have the motorcycle at the top, so theres a little difference, maybe inside too

Not sure, I never cared for the Lost MC. I drive past. Maybe later I'll find time to go check that area :)

This sundial can't give hours, the sun don't turn correctly.

A simple stick planted in the ground can make a sundial if you look at his shadow at sunrise and at sunset.

Well, sunset/sunrise at two different location.

So could we make a connection between ohio States(wow signal;alien;weirds stuffs/blaine county/location sunset/sunrise 1)

and

California States(L.A;city/citizen formated stuffs/Los Santos/location sunset/sunrise 2)?

Yep, I found the car+NPC from the video, but he wasn't an agent, just a random ped. Saw several different NPC doing this. And yes they're pointing at the plane.

btw, was there ever found a connection in the mystery to this building: IMGUR

found it while trying to follow the red arrows from the pillars. It just seems like an odd number for a building and dat arrow tho.. Maybe something in the files about it, part of a phone number with the other pieces on another building or something/nothing :)

@stoned2death if you want to take pics of an area from high up, i find that this goes easiest by parachute. if you take pics then you photograph from behind the player. it's easy to fly in such a way that you can take a good pic of the things you want to see on the ground. way easier then in a chopper. the only sh*tty thing is if you miss your window for the picture you have to go get a plane again and do the jump again.
