The thought has crossed my mind from time to time, but I dismiss it because the prologue screws it up.

 

Is it possible that Franklin is all 3 of them?

 

Trevor and Michael seem to be 2 sides of Franklin. Trevor being the gang side and Michael being the settle down with Tanisha side?

 

Ever notice that Franklin can own most of the properties that Michael and Trevor can own, but there are no properties that either Michael or Trevor can own?

 

I wonder what the game does with unfinished Michael or Trevor missions if you kill one of them? I'm going to find out tonite.

Hey guys, I haven't investigated the "jetpack box" any further since my last post but I just want to point something out the file guys have found:

Seen as I seem to be the only one looking through scripts at the minute, i took the liberty of exploring the altruist script file again after seeing that video.

 

I remembered seeing reference to wooden boxes and security cases so i started grepping the following prop names to see what else came up.

but get this...

prop_box_wood05a found solely in altruist_cult.xsc, referenced 5 times.

 

So there IS a box only found in the altruist camp. The script lines are as follows:

This is the only set of coordinates (x=-1132.0251, y=4921.483, z=218.8244) for 5a, there are two or three of each of the other boxes (3a and 4a) and the security cases with coordinates in the Altruist Camp, which means this is the only box of its type in the entire game. MYSTERY BOX!!

 

 

Seems like this box is unique and only appears in the camp. Maybe we should keep an eye on this.

Just in theory...

 

How would we carry the message to Online?

 

Maybe we are meant to somehow ultimately change how players interact with each other in the virtual worlds, and then carry it over to the real worlds in a practice makes perfect kind of way?

 

 

How would we go about playing as "Enlightened" players online and changing the way others play, or is that seemingly like the idea of actually changing the real world, way out of reach?

 

The only way i see it happening is the way of the Flower.

 

We start small with a group of people void of playing in conflict with one another and let our playing infect others, which will spread like the first thought of the inner potential of Man to other players across the board.

 

We could all be Jesus(Spiritual leaders) in the GTAV world.

 

 

 

 

Too deep? Too "Dreamy"? Too much to undertake?

 

 

Maybe so but, i had the realization that "we" could in fact change the gaming world and flip it on it's face in terms of the way players interact with each other online.

 

Starting a "Movement" in a game world seems like it would be just as hard as in the real world.

I don't know about all of that, but I have always had a suspicion that the 'bad sport' servers are involved in some way.

 

Going from "Bad Sport" to "Good Sport" servers could be seen as a form of repenting or turning over a new leaf etc.

 

I've just always held out hope that this was solvable as stand alone retail but it's 2014, Maybe being online is expected.

These are all dead ends. Like mentioned a few post above, any feature that we haven't found yet, will probably be part of a DLC. Besides u all remember the secret eater eggs people swore where in gta Sa, like big foot, ghosts, cults, and Ufos, well we got all those in V, so I think r* does pay some attention to their consumers. Well at least I hope so, cus I really want a jet pack or useable UFO.

it's in the police station where you go get the chopper for the eye in the sky mission. dunno how to get them or if they are ment to be taken but they hang there being in your face like..

Having spent the last few hours trying to spawn a random encounter i finally got one on my altruist save. The box does NOT spawn for cover for Trevor as he hides behind the sacrifice stone when the cutscene is over, noone is using it for cover. The padlock is definitely a padlock and not just a texture, and after smashing it for a while with T's truck i've found that the box does move but it took me maybe 10 mins to move it a few feet, it's as if it's immensely heavy, but i moved it far enough to know that there's nothing underneath it.

 

I can confirm though that it IS a movable object.

Yeah I remember seeing them and wondering what they were for

...so I went back to see if I cout get into that room but it was locked

However as I left the room just outside the cops were chasing someone and I did notice that the cop in that room ran out,

I immediately thought to myself if he came out that room then maybe either it was then open or at the very least if it happened again as he ran out I could slip in

as I turned back to run towards the room I ran right into one of the cops

got a wanted level and they unloaded on me befor I could check the room again and I died

 

I did that on an earlier play through and forgot to go back and try it again, thanks for reminding me about that I'm gonna have to look into that room again

@deadman no prob. also just heard a newsfeed (am playing all thrue storymode again) about a new dronebase being build or will start to build just north of chumash and FZ. been checking around there but didn't find anything yet

@Roadkill, did the news report mention anything about protesters? Because I heard a similiar report but it was about protesters at the drone base, i think its referring to Fort Zancudo is a drone base, ( isnt there a load of construction materials and area with workers just outside the base?) but i didnt hear anything about it being in assembly or being built or anything like that but someone else did same as you,(Pedone i think but i cant remember too well ) just trying to figure out if it was the same news report.

Did you complete the mission Blitz Play to hear this news report?

i passed that mission yes, but earlier. the ppl from that area were protesting. and they clearly said "just north of chumash and FZ" so the place with the building material does sound plausible indeed.

wtf, i went to franklin's house, changed clothes, saved the game, went into the kitchen and drank wine. you get the cutscene of him drinking and all of a sudden i'm wearing this mask i haven't seen before, also clothes have changed.

It isn't until he is on the table being examined by the aliens that he is seen in his boxers

 

Ok i just watched the mission on Youtube and you are right, he has his clothes on when he is abducted in the alley, I just said this as the "homeless person robbing his clothes" was the explanation shouted at me as fact when I brought this up a long time ago in the old thread.

 

 

 

 

Go to 12:32 in the video, this is where Mike gets dragged off, easy to miss when you are confused about the mission when first playing, but upon playing again, I think its fairly obvious we are supposed to wonder what is going on with the pulling him off screen. Its instant and ominous kinda like it was all planned

 

We go to the alley with the monkeys from Humane Labs so maybe not the alley at all?

Then we appear at the FIB HQ as was said, this would imply we were abducted by the FIB and Mike is tripping balls so he sees aliens, but time appears to be stopped at 22:00 like a "real" abduction so this would imply real aliens?

Then Mike is out for a full week or goes back in time because its 11:00am saturday when you awake same time and day you were drugged up if im not mistaken, if Nextonex can correct me there as im not sure of the actual time differences and location changes but when i logged them awhile ago i remember something not adding up about it all.

 

Just noticed, the aliens have glowing orbs of light in their hands when they examine Mike? Never noticed it before

 

Also, when we appear back as Michael we appear back through his eye with a weird eye effect going on in the background, thought it was pretty crazy the second time I seen that part

 

 

Here's my thoughts on the abduction.

 

The mission happens after the Humane Labs mission, when exiting the building in that mission, you pass cages full of monkeys, I remember because it scared the sh*t out of me.. This makes me think that michael was taken to humane labs and brought into the building from that same exit, passing the monkeys. I think your abductors stage the aliens and wake michael just enough so he remembers it, and then put him back under and that's when he leaves the spaceship and starts flying, he's dreaming again. Eventually he's dropped off in the park and wakes up. The mission starts the next morning of whatever day you are on. once you pass out, time advances to 2200 and stops while you are in the ship, when you fly down and land the time will be around 0600 on the same day that you left, meaning it's at least a week later because the mission starts after 0600.

 

It's correct that the parts where the camera zooms into and out of michaels head take place in his head (or were put in his head), but everything outside of that happens in the game world. Taking the drugs and waking up in the park a week or more later. When you return to the house, the family has already left, you can see the drawers in Tracy's room have been emptied and there is a note for Michael. This is because you took off and haven't been home for a week or more, it doesn't help that Jimmy tells Amanda that you were wacked out on drugs.

 

So I know this thread has been up for quite a while and you've gone through a whole lot of stuff, but have you figured out what this is:

That looks like a status screen like you would see in an operations center, it's monitoring something and the colors are whether the results are good or bad, that's just a guess.

 

Before I go to bed I just want to summarize my observations regarding the "jetpack box" for those who are interested:

 

-The box is the ONLY(besides some cartons which are an entire texture) box you can't move in the whole camp.

-It says handle with EXTREME care.

-It only appears AFTER you cleared the camp and disappears as soon as you leave the camp.

-I thought I couldn't cause any damage or bullet holes on it no matter what until I shot with the rocket launcher on it. After this I was able to damage the box for a certain time. But after tons of bullets and after trying every weapon nothing happened.

-When I switched to F and drove to the camp the gates were still open and the camp was empty except T still standing where the box WAS. I said was because it disappeared.

-I was trying things for 3-4 ingame days

Did you try a crowbar? I always lose mine when I find them, I don't think they are a permanent weapon, has anyone else noticed that? Do the baseball bat and the crowbar disappear from your inventory when you turn off the game?

 

If I had a box like that to open, I would use a crowbar.

 

Also, these same padlocks are found on some of the smaller shipping containers and the doors open if you sticky them and they explode whatever was inside.

I don't mean to be skeptical but I think this is a glitch, it's the hockey and scuba mask somehow glitched and merged. I call BS troll bait, but very good troll bait.

@Tirk @RoadKill They look like the original descriptions of the missions perhaps? Where did you get these?

Although the Rogue Altruists encounter is correct im sure, it was a female for me, i hadnt met the Altruists yet and seen them with the tied up woman and thought it was a rape in progress as they were naked until she said they were going to eat her or something along those lines ? A similiar incident is present in Red Dead Redemption so i wasnt too shocked to think they would do something like this

 

Funny how they are identified as "Rogues" it must be a big no-no for Altruists to venture outside the camp and hunt for food?Brings a bad name upon them and unwanted attention? Only thing "Rogue" I can apply to the incident

Best to have food delivered by middlemen maybe!

 

50 days in the desert! Perhaps there was originally alot more activity to this part of the pledge

My apologies, Though I never said you were trolling, Just that it was troll bait Maybe it's Rockstar troll bait. Maybe it's a clue. At the very least, it tells us the game is checking for something after you perform activities like drinking and is capable of instantly changing your appearance. It's possible it's mechanic of some sort in the game.

 

It also could be there was an exploit glitch that involved activities online and something didn't go right.

 

It happened to me the first time I drank wine as Franklin. Can everyone please go have some wine and see if it happens to you? I'd be interested to know if there are cases where it doesn't happen.
