I think people are overlooking the obvious, it's all in his head.

 

The scene even shows you that it goes in and out of his mind at the beginning and end.

 

 

Ok I will accept the fact that its all in his head, but whats not in his head is him getting dragged off screen for us...the player... to see, I seen it did you? or was it in Michaels head?

 

Also whats not in his head is the fact that time is at a stand still the whole time at 22:00, also the changing of locations, the FIB lobby, why was this in his head?

 

This happens on the pause screen map, this is not happening in Michaels head, this pause screen map is happening in my head

 

When I smoke weed as Michael or the meth as Trevor you are not warping all over the map in the pause screen with time standing still and weeks going missing because of the effects of drugs on the characters perception

 

i dont think because its all in his head, you can say its a dream or hallucination and inner look at Michaels psyche which it is no doubt...

 

but there are still many unanswerable questions in relation to this epsiode to be conclusive or definitive, and we seem to be gone for a full ingame week, thats some hallucination or hit of acid!

 

I agree with you as far as you are saying , thats a great interpretation of the abduction, one I believe, but it stands on its own without confilct from the questions I outlined tthat dont add up, there are drugs at play here but there is definitely some organised FIB/Alien shenadigans going on here too I think

When you are taking hitchhikers, listen to Trevor. If he is taking an appropriate person to the camp, he will say something like "I'm absolutely positive I'm taking you where you need to go" or "I've never been more certain this is the right way". If he isn't taking the right person, he usually just dodges the question when they say "Are you sure this is the right road?" So that's how you know.

 

Maybe if you take the good hitchhikers...

 

NO, Trevor's comments do not indicate whether the person is the correct one to sacrifice. The comments he makes change dynamically based on your distance from the destinations and direction of travel. For instance, if you are taking someone to their destination, Trevor will make general comments....then if you start heading towards the camp, at a certain distance from the camp Trevor will start making different comments, insinuating that he is taking this person to the camp. If you stop at that point and turn around and start driving back to the persons destination again, Trevor will again revert to more general conversation type comments. It has nothing to do with certain people being appropriate to take. This is one example of you twisting things around to seem more important than they are. It's programming, it's not black magic.

If there wasn't aliens in the game already... Dead or otherwise, I'd say it was in his head, as I would in reality to any crazy abductee.. But having a dead alien in the game and an alien craft underwater, makes it being an actual abduction in this instance just a tad more viable.

 

So I'm voting real encounter.

Hm I can't remember any of Ts words while bringing the people to the camp. But in all honesty I don't believe that you have to drive the hitchhikers in a certain order to the camp. BUT as always, who knows r* are the new illuminati haha

 

What I have done so far: been standing in front of it for 2 ingame days right now. I pushed some of those explosive boxes to the box and let them explode: nothing.Tried the bat, sticky bombs and every other weapon. Maybe this box is nothing special in the end but I looked for all the other boxes in the camp and you can move them all except this one. cheers edit: one thing I just noticed is the ground texture right in front of the box. it looks like a lot of people stood in front of this box.

See, this is the problem.

 

The game literally shows you that he is dreaming but, people want to tell the game what it means.

 

Zooms in to his head and starts tripping.

 

Zooms out of his head and he stops tripping.

 

 

And there being an Alien does not mean that he is not dreaming. People dream of things that are real.

 

the Alien in Yankton could very well be a real Alien, it probably is but, that doesn't mean one and the other are connected when the game clearly shows you that M is also dreaming/hallucinating about Aliens.

 

On the other side, we are trying to solve the hallucinations of a drugged up man with psyche problems as if what he is seeing is literal but, we all know he's drugged up, so... :shrug:

 

EDIT: Let's put it this way, why would the game lie to you?

I'm pretty sure T said this on my 1st playtrough while driving Ursula, hence why I've taken her to the camp (btw this was just 2 days after game release).

 

I've later realized (while lurking on early V1) that Ursula "brings" rain and that I've also already missed the chance to buy the golf course , so I 've started my 2nd playthrough.

 

But it was ursula with her "rain with no cheat thing*" that really made me start 2nd pt.

Couple of weeks after I've learnt that calling her with M, F or T is allways possible, even if you deliever her at the camp, so go figure it...

 

* Ursula's "trick" is the only proven, no cheat, actually working raindance, the imo "mandatory glitch" to spawn the MC ufo.

Many report that Altruists camp clearance is also a working raindance trigger, but this is found atm not to be prooven as others claim that it can change the weather (like yoga at Mt G) but not allways to rain/storm condition.

 

@TTN & DM2112 - can't you just agree to disagree, after all you both joined as members the same damn day ......

Before I go to bed I just want to summarize my observations regarding the "jetpack box" for those who are interested:

 

-The box is the ONLY(besides some cartons which are an entire texture) box you can't move in the whole camp.
-It says handle with EXTREME care.
-It only appears AFTER you cleared the camp and disappears as soon as you leave the camp.
-I thought I couldn't cause any damage or bullet holes on it no matter what until I shot with the rocket launcher on it. After this I was able to damage the box for a certain time. But after tons of bullets and after trying every weapon nothing happened.
-When I switched to F and drove to the camp the gates were still open and the camp was empty except T still standing where the box WAS. I said was because it disappeared.
-I was trying things for 3-4 ingame days

I believe in the magic box! Its definitely very strange ! Just some thoughts, so did the Altruists draw the Chiliad mural? If not then who did? if so then they are what unlocks the prizes?

 

Also, why is there an instructional mural on how to see the FIB UFO on the mountain for everyone to see? Wouldnt they have this painted over ? If they want to remain anonymous with the cloaking device, why the instructions on the wall?

Could they have defaced the Chiliad mural to distract people from the Altruist prize? It looks like Altruist glyphs and painting but it leads to a FIB UFO? Make any sense at all?

Well, last time I checked Raavi officially instated it was a cult, so as long as the title of the thread dictates its a cult, thats the official term we are going to use for it. You only seem to venture in here to point out the metaphors and cry about kraff toast being cris toast and the enlightenment playthrough, which has been as fruitless as the "physical" hunt you bog down on everyone for.

 

Well not fruitless since you have achieved a higher zen from the playthrough, but you still find time to come back down to earth from planet Kifflom to act like an ass to people having fun with the mystery to let them know they are idiots, if you are so self actualized i fail to see why you would do this

 

Whenever something doesnt seem to "fit" for you in something there is no real answer for you just label it as "deeper metaphorical meaning, im so much smarter than everyone :shrug"

Im not looking for anything phsyical in this instance, im just asking questions you cant answer without the use of metaphors, and questions metaphors dont account for

If anything the metaphors make you weak in the hunt the way you use them,if you cant answer a mystery in the game, "oh its a metaphor!"

Chris Formage has made 7 hole in ones and seeing as how difficult this seems to be I thought it may hold somes importants.

 

Side note:

If your in Sandy Shores got to the bar where u can play darts. When you go in there is a picture on your right wall all the way down by the bar. If u go around behind the bar u can see it better. I took a picture but its such poor quality. Not super important but I've only seen it there.

What about the mirror where truth lives? I was thinking about the Da Vinci Code, the scene where Ian McKellen explains about the blade and the chalice. If you hover above Sandy Shores in a helicopter looking north, you can see the blade of Chiliad mirrored into a chalice in the Alamo Sea reflection. A bit like the Jetsam logo, and also like masculine and feminine as perfect reflections. So I would read that to mean "unity is stronger than division".

 

It could also be that truth lives in Brian's blog and the mirror is your browser screen as you communicate with the world. And I recommend you guys read the blog again, because that mirror will reflect back tenfold all that you put into it! We are the sea...
