today i drove a forklift from sandy shores and tried to lift a cow with it lol. it works but the cow would struggle and fall off. so much for taking it to the hippy camp or sacrifice rock but someone with more cow forking experience might have better luck.

i then drove down to vinewood hills trying to pry open the garage doors that aren't fully closed but to no avail. the forks will not even penetrate the collision model but you can get the tips under on some, however they can't be lifted. tried the same thing with the shutters under the maze bank but no cigar.

I thought I had been, but I wonder if I saved during those times, maybe you need to save, to write the unwritten tract. All unsaved progress will be lost.. Woah..

does anyone know the best place to find multiple hookers in one spot?

I think Vinewood Blvd usually has multiple hookers. There is also a cut scene with Michael where he declines a hooker's offer to have sex when you switch to him which has multiple hookers in one spot.

And also near the stadium. If you look at the map.. left of it. Under the highways.

 

 

i know that myself and others did try this, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a go, maybe you'll get better results =)

here's my take on the whole thing (as things stand right now)..

-tsf is adamant that he saw a ufo flying around and abducting someone. maybe it happened, maybe it didn't. he has no proof and doesn't care if people don't believe him. (and he has proven to be quite trustworthy in the past)

-ez states that he witnessed a similar occurrence, but will not say for certain that he is sure what it was and also hasn't been able to reproduce the event. (based on the past, i trust ez)

i am paying no attention to the "wasted screen" story.

others state they've seen a helicopter chasing a car in the same area and think that's all it is.

i personally haven't spent a lot of time in this area at all and this may be why i and others haven't come across this "event".

my personal view- we witness random police car chases throughout our travels all the time, so a random police helicopter chase seems most likely to me because not one photo or piece of game footage containing a random ufo abduction is currently out there (to my knowledge).

common things people seem to agree on with this are: night/darkness, a beam of light on a car, and occurs around the lighthouse/gordo/sandy shores area.

during drug trafficking missions you do find yourself driving around the sandy shores area heaps, outrunning rival gangs and whatnot.. perhaps it was the frequency of driving around this area on missions that lead to people eventually randomly seeing.. whatever it is.. yet had nothing to do with being in the mission itself, (but there could be a trigger somewhere)..

maybe it's an area thing and only occurs rarely at night if you're constantly around the place or spending days on end there causing havoc.. or maybe everyone's just on crack, i dunno lol

i will end as usual by making it clear that these are only my thoughts and of course more research is needed as i feel nothing can be ruled out at this point

There is also a clock tower east of Vespucci pier a couple of blocks in. You can get to the roof by air only but it has stairs and ladders on the top. Clock displays the correct time.

For me i think the SD horn is parodying those old keyring toys with several buttons which made various alien or weapon sounds

I’m just awakening now (almost 4 am here) from some 48h flu, getting a bit better nowJ.

I thought “Hell for the 1^st time I’ll ask for some guidance regarding last 24H posts (although meanwhile (12h ago) I’ve tried to connect with kaffrom at metaphor thread (with no avail...), but I was reading that thread with like 39ºC fever high, so go figure…).

 

I even started to write an "SOS call" for any mystery thread update, to post here but multipage opening guided me to my last unread post, and to some new troll here.

So I didn't post the "SOS call" and start reading (about 2 hrs - several threads...).

 

@Scoobysrt – I like your (and tirkane) clock’s investigation. On my to do checklist, adding any relevant info if/when available.

 

@Dfur4M – Not being harsh and so but, you’ve joined a week ago and “It is impossible to start reading out of the first post.”… Imho, that's no good excuse.

If you’re feeling like a dedicated hunter, I’d advise you to lurk around V1’s 1st 40 pages, there's hopefully some clues there that only you will match and will make you a truly R*.

I’ve fortunately bought the game on release day and started lurking at V1/jetpack/etc just 1 week after. Most of the vet hunters are unfortunately already gone on this V2/3, praise the ones that are still here (some others present but just lurking and no comments ). It's hard to keep track, but possible.

 

@krashr –Thks mate! You’ve just answered my bold stuff, lol, like tadd says – bed time (again!).

 

Edit- Green light - I've already spent many moons there and (imho, hope I'm wrong though!) the way one can play with it's path makes me realy think it's just a light glitch (a pretty one and hard to spot). I hope there's something else on that area since the green light effect, weird sunrise at the cave/cove, humane (egg) labs and x at uv map are all there...

It appears that 'resetting the kills since last safehouse visit' by sleeping in a safehouse resets how peds respond to you.

 

With Trevor, before sleeping, I could cause mass chaos by just walking up and down the street and yelling at people. After saving, he says nothing. Still testing.

It appears there may be more to this than just sleeping. I still need to play with it some more, but after resetting that counter, I was no longer able to taunt everyone. stoopid game.

Lift the cow into one of these trucks. They transport things just fine.

@krashr im glad u brought that up, cuz I decided to get on to post an observation/theory I had while listening to rons podcast on blaine county radio. he mentions trading guns that he "legally" owns (over 500) to someone else and the "GOVERNMENT" wants to send a drone to watch him.

 

I was thinking if its possible that there is actually a drone, or even the armys version of a ufo hovering around during those missions.

 

**EDIT: because it does make u avoid main roads, and has a crazy detection range that suggests a drone. maybe its possible to spot it

Been a lurker for a few days, friends tried to get me to have a life, jerks. The audacity of them! A fellow wanted me to post a pic of exactly where I had my encounter, downloading new PS3 update so it'll be a bit. It was however the road below and northeast of the "Welcome" house. There is a turn-around in the road running North-South. This is approx. where the event occured.

It is possible to keep track, of course. But for me this is a hobby, and i guess for most people also. I read the whole "Mystery of V" thread before i found out that it was dead. I did it because it was pinned, and then i found this one, which was really sad because it took me like 2 days to read the whole Mystery of V thread.

I decided to start reading this one instead. By the time i finished reading the first 1 or 2 pages, the thread had gotten 2 o 3 more pages bigger, and i spent a sweet amount of time reading already.

That is not a huge motivation to read the whole thing.

Im not trying to excuse myself for not reading and asking what is going on. I try not to ask that so much because i know and i understand that it is annoying for other hunters when there comes somebody every week asking the same thing.

On the other hand, i want to give the point of view of some random player (in this case myself), who just wants to have some fun with the game and a community of nice people. But that doesnt mean spending 80% of my free time with this.

I hope i made myself clear, i understand both sides. I just want to say that is not about people being lazy about catching up, it is just very difficult sometimes, i hope you guys can understand that.

 

Btw, i did join a week ago, but i´ve been reading for about 2-3 weeks.

what actually happens when you stay on the road too long? is it a fail screen or do the cops go balls out trying to catch you? (i'll check when next in game if no-one has an answer)

your comment also reminded me of something i thought i saw early in game during an expedition looking into something else, something i've always meant to go back and check. on my to-do list. (i won't post about it until i am sure i wasn't just partying with barry too much)

Thanks. In this pic you will see where I had my encounter. My truck is parked about where I died, the turnaround in the dirt road in front of me is where the ped car was, and you can see the "Welcome" house in the top right. I've been driving around this area for a while now. Just started hunting again today. Feels goot.

Yeah, I just noticed reoze has confirmed that the alien egg does exist as a static object placed within the game world.

 

So there is definitely a thing that has not yet been found but which is still waiting for us to find it.

 

Let's go find it!

Y'know, I think Brian deserves our recognition of the fact that he was screaming the metaphoric significance of GTA at us while we were all still going la-la-la with our fingers in our ears and jacking off at the thought of a shiny new jetpack. I don't know exactly who he's annoyed with but it's probably XMarqs since many of Brian's ideas have been rehashed and repackaged by XMarqs for the consumption of GTA forums, yet no credit given to the source. In fact, XMarqs even emulated Brian's enigmatic blogging style when posting here, again giving no credit to the source of inspiration. Maybe that could be why Brian's not happy about sh*t right now?
