What do you think Rockstar is doing right now?

It is easy for us all to demand that they work more on the product at hand. We just throw our cash in and hope that gratification is instant. The whole instant gratification issue is a whole 'nother can of worms though. I am not saying that they should not have to worry about fixing the game... Think about this for a moment though, we buy lots of things for $60 that could break in the foreseeable future without a warranty on the object. We usually just end up breaking down and buying another, we don't expect the company to come right out to our house and fix it. In retrospect, $60 to guarantee that they will be constantly working on a product isn't too bad of a deal.

I guess what I am trying to say is that we complain on a daily basis about this game, bitch, and whine endlessly about the problems it has. The likeliness is that Rockstar devs are there at the office from 9am - 5pm 4 - 5 days a week, trying to fix the product. Now the publishing part of Rockstar are probably rolling in the dough as many of you like to believe, while the money from the sales comes trickling down to the office workers. I am not claiming that the Dev's get paid poorly, truthfully they probably make about $75,000, well the publishers are making around $110,000 - 120,000 (+ Yearly bonuses and what not) a year. Just keep in mind that they are trying to do what they can, but they probably just spend the last five years spending 60 + hours a week trying to meet deadlines.

If you disagree with me, fine. I have no problem with that. I am sure there are others who feel as you do, but trust me that there are others that also feel as I do.

OP is a troll who is clearly ignorant on how difficult it is building a piece of software between several studios while keeping their performance in-sync.

 

Also, what good have they done? Well let's see...

1. Continuously trying to fix any loopholes that lead to the LSC exploit.
2. Bringing back the Rat Loader, a vehicle they left in by accident but since people bitched hard enough about it at least they're bringing it back for a limited time.
3. Removing the counterfeit cash exploit during server maintenance.
4. Currently banning anyone they've found cheating, and banning in a big way.
5. Adding new jobs while still developing a major job element in no way did they promise it would be out on release.
6. Preventing any hacking measures and fighting those hackers hard.
7. Continuously trying to balance out the game's economy (though this is something I don't think is ever going to work), with the money achievable continuously going up and down.

I'll say this: you are completely ignorant on software development let alone the economics of the matter. How do we know while they're trying to fix GTAO, not only are they working on the Heists but they're not making a PC version and Next-Gen editions as well? GTA V on the PC is huge given as well as next-gen, and they obviously have a release window in mind, so of course if that's the case they're working on 3 major priorities at the same time, which I can assume as the order being thus:

 

1. Fix GTA Online
2. Prepare the (possible)next-gen and PC versions for release.
3. Prepare the Heists for release.

At least two of those things are ongoing, with GTAO being the highest priority. They're not resting on their laurels, they're really busy, and that's possibly while they might be starting work on their next game, which is possibly Agent. To say that they're being lazy and burning their millions in revenue is completely stupid, because what I'm saying is an assumption as is yours, but at least my assumption is much more realistic than just bitching and crying about how certain content I want or how bad I think the game is, all the while slandering human beings who spent 5 years building it. You need to start living in the real world and not your basement.

 

Finally, I know what you're going to say: you're going to say I'm a dick, or I kiss Rockstar's ass, or I'm a fanboy or <insert childish comeback here>. Go ahead and do that, but bear in mind that will prove you don't like an opinion that opposes yours no matter how rational it may be, and can't take an argument let alone a bitch-slap.

My mother left me at my dad because she had to run away with some old love or whatever the f*ck it was 4 years ago, just when i started highschool, you know how f*cking difficult that time that was ??? it's one of the reasons i didnt get a good education or gettin in to college because of low grades. i started doing drugs to cope with school, sometimes i didnt even go because it was painful to get up everyday.

 

about the relatives, i used to spend time with them every summer and every winther for over 10 years, why do you think it's sad when they wont even talk to me and i don't even know why?

Newsflash: Over 50% of American kids come from divorced families. Suck it up.

 

You have a roof over your head and I'm guessing you're not starving or dying of Malaria so all things considered you have it pretty easy, so don't most westerners for that matter. Too easy if you ask me.

After reading the entire thread I wish to expand on my previous statement. OP this game is obviously the least of your problems. Lashing out at the imperfections of a video game isnt going to solve your personal issues. You think your life is so horrible yet you have a place to live, your are probably well fed, you have at minimum a gaming console, atelevision and a computer at your disposal, you have no bills and no responsibilities. Try imagining your a syrian refugee right now who watched most of his family murdered in the street, his home leveled by his own goverment, sleeping in a tent on the Turkish border wondering when his next morsel of food might show itself. Then consider again how f*cked you think your life is.

 

Finally, stop posting your cries for help on a fanforum full of assholes and trolls who couldnt give two sh*ts about your problem and GO TALK TO YOUR FATHER. Tell him you want to see a therapist and if he wont or cant provide one than seek help with social services.
