Crate Drops increased?

I was online an hour ago to find that a crate drop was inbound, then after someone picked it up a special crate drop was spawning straight after it.

 

I have now come back online and joined a random session and two crate drops one after the other have just spawned.

 

 

Has anyone else come across this today?

Ehm, last time I saw a crate drop was like 1 month ago, and I am playing nearly every day for 2-3 hours straight. I thought they were like a christmas holiday present? What's the problem with my game?

That's correct.

 

They used to come up frequently on a timer, then they slowed down and disappeared for a while & today in each game I've been in they've spawned one after another.

I was in a lobby for about 2 hours and they were spread out in that time. I remember clearly as i was guarding them with my jet

Strange. Don't even seen one in a long time, and I always stay long in the same session.

Activity does seem to be unusually high I got lucky with a special crate drop on Friday as soon as I entered a solo session.

If you don't see crate drops often make sure you do at least one Trevor mission to unlock them.

As long as they don't glitch I've no problem with a few more crate drops, much like the rapid spawn armored truck sessions.

Not seen one in months. Last time I saw a crate or even a crate drop announcement was back in 1.06

Looks like I'm one of the few that has seen plenty. Never had any problem with crates..

idk but for me in the last 2-3 weeks ive grab 3 or 4 and have seen 7 to 9. i think rockstar increased the random events ie high priority car, armored car and crate drop. i've also have seen HPC 10+ times in the last week and a half. i cant remember it popping up that many times
