Mr. Fighter Jet
Now Before You Say Anything, this is just a random idea. Nothing special, So Carry On Reading. Ever notice that fort zancudo is the ONLY Fly-zone that cant be owned (and im talking about the only no fly zone which actually has a runway.)? Yeah, you probably did. But Then i came up with this random Idea, What if it was purchasable? and it should be around 1 billion, thats what its really worth. But anyway This is probably only going to be a dream and will never happen. maybe in DLC, But EXTREMELY unlikely. But what would you think if made it purchasable ? ( and i made this when i was bored.) EDIT: As i said, i made this when i was bored, this is just a random idea i made. its always gonna be impossible to purchase it. but i would think it would be cool if you could apply to be a military unit or disguise as one to get in without a wanted level. (although you would get 4 *'s as soon as you try to steal a vehicle) i also fixed some stuff in this post. ForJagler
I don't think R* will ever make that, neither in dlc or patch, but if the PC version gets released this could be an idea for a mod.
Biggie Kaniff
Really bad idea. What was he to buy on a military base? On the airport you can buy a hangar, not the whole airport. The military selling their base, or a hangar on the base, to Trevor Phillips? Did you play the game? That's just so unrealistic it's to unrealistic, even for GTA. ~Tiger~
i think it should have it only purchasable by trevor...... the fact that he was a military pilot. Trevor was also discharged from the military: (GTA WIKI) "Trevor discovered that he had a talent for flying jets. He enlisted in the military to pilot fighter jets, but several days prior of completing his training, he was discharged due to his mental instability." http://gta.wikia.com/Trevor_Philips It is very unlikely that the military would sell their hardware to him! Cutter De Blanc
Zancudo isn't the only no-fly zone you can't purchase. There's the Prison. In fact the golf course is the only place with a no-fly zone you can buy. Sussus Amongus
killahmatic
You Always Dreamnt of getting those darn Fighter jets, or those tanks. (Or whatever vehicles you wanted from this place) Most vehicles on the base you can own, and the jet is really easy to get, so no, I haven't dreamed of it. I wouldn't want to own the base. It serves more of a purpose in the game with being able to fight your way in and fight your way out, and for those who don't know how to get the vehicles out, it feels more rewarding once you successfully do it. It would be boring to me if you could enter it without a wanted level (I did it with the Cletus mission, it sucked. It was nothing more than any other piece of land) It would take away the point of having the base. Sussus Amongus
HOW'S ANNIE?
Purshasing it just sounds too ridiculously out there. However I hope once we get some form of DLC we'll end up being able to enter without getting a wanted level (e.g. Getting a military outfit for one of the protagonists) Alanbeales1
Smartpride
It's like buying this you will be the president of Los santos because military power is very important for the whole Los santos... gunziness
REXX
And would be worth 20.000.000? Think again, the golf club costs 150.000.000. Zancudo is probably 10 times the size of the golf club, maybe even more. Would be nice to own it though. But then again, you wouldn't get that thrill and blast of adrenaline when trying to steal a vehicle from there. Sussus Amongus
TyphoonJames
I'd purchase Fort Zancudo for $1 billion if I had the money. It would have to be my next playthrough, because in my first one I didn't maximise profits with the assassination/stock missions, and spent too much too soon. Imagine having every vehicle at your disposal, with no saving/spawn issues! Although the challenge of busting in to a base of soldiers and tanks would be gone. Acegunn
Nope. The Lazers are based on F-16 and F-18 one of those is worth 40 to 60 million dollers a plane. The Titans based on the C-130s there are worth 20 million minimum per plane. The Buzzards based on the MH-6 is 20 to 30 million a piece. The Cargobobs are based off the MH-47 and MH-53 40 to 60 million per copy. The Rhino is a M1 Abrams 30 million. The Crusader is based on a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon those are 20k to 35k but with military equipment added 90k to 125k The other light vehicles on the base range with military equipment added from 90k to 475k Each Soldier has about 1 million invested in them. The People and Hardware on Fort Zancudo equal several hundred million to billions of USD. So this Idea is luducris. They do have Apartments on base however that could be doable but again is highly unlikely.

I guess because it has an inf amount of every vehicle it wouldn't be possible to buy it even with Lesters assasination misssion billions that you get. Edit: How much do you think that UFO over FZ would cost for us 100% players? 800mil? Edited April 2, 2014 by Cakelover21

Desu Nei
Ok, first off, the base and everything in it it is owned by the government. I don't really see why the government would allow one of it's military bases to be privately owned, much less by a mass-murdering person. Definitely don't see it being possible to purchase the base but IMO maybe there could be a way to enter the base without getting a wanted level in the future by joining the military. At first, you can only go around the base without getting a wanted level, still unable to take vehicles and enter the tower. As you complete more military missions you gain more access to stuff in the base, and eventually you'll be able to enter the tower, and take the jets, tanks, titans, and other vehicles on the base without getting a wanted level. Oh yeah, and you can also get military outfits as you complete missions. Who else thinks this would be a better idea?
