Question about Preformance upgrades

When doing upgrades to cars that are the fastest in its class, most of them only like a bar to a bar 1/2 of being at the max when it comes to acceleration..

 

I have noticed on a lot of cars you can reach or max the bars out with any of the upgrades like the best Engine, Tranny, or Turbo

 

If you max out the Stats Bar with only the best engine, this should put the cars Acceleration at 100%,

but if you add the best Tranny and Turbo afterwards, do you think the upgrades still add more and more Acceleration even tho it is not reflected in the stats bar

 

Just wondering because why drop an extra 50-100k if it dont help

The stat bars are pretty wrong. Every performance part makes a difference.

 

Most others, spoilers , exhausts, are purely cosmetic. Spoilers to add downforce or reduce drag etc. exhausts don't increase performance. If you car has max acceleration and speed before adding turbo. Turbo WILL make it faster performing, but you won't see any increase in the already axed out stat bar.

A friend and I have been trying to experiment, he has the opinion that you have that they do help ......However both of us have began to question our thoughts..

we race a lot (no traffic catch up turned off)

using the Entity he has his maxed out, I only have the best engine, stock tranny, no turbo other than the tranny and turbo both cars are pretty much equal

we have raced and raced the same track to see who might be correct......thanks to human error we are both left wondering as we cant run the same race twice in the same manner

 

I Purchased the BradyGames Grand thief Auto 5 guide when i got the game (this is my first title)...the guide claims a level 4 engine will add 15% to acceleration, A racing Tranny adds 5% and the Turbo adds 25%

Meaning all 3 upgrades would 45% more acceleration over a stock version........Nothing is said about top speed, just you ability to get there faster....

I have noticed a difference when I tinker with the hydraulics. For instance lowering your car completely doesn't give the best handling, that's what I've found with muscle cars. That has helped out my phoenix tremendously, I believe I've got it set to the 2nd setting(sports I think) but I haven't tried this on any other classes or cars as of yet.

All the acceleration upgrades help, even if the bar is maxed in LSC. Use the stat bars you get before a race instead - they never max out and you can see how your upgrades continue to increase them.

this, they do help

just try putting on every performance except for the turbo and drive around a bit

than install the turbo and you'll clearly notice the difference
