It's not a waste at all, I have close to 7000 miles flying mostly in my Buzzard. But I said this the other day, The ones that spawn at helipads can take a hell of allot more small arms fire damage, then the ones you order up from Pegasus. But Sandy Shores Airfield or the Merryweather dry dock/helipad is your best bet.

since it costs 200, all it does is ave time. If your after quick money your better off doing it on easy with pistol. All the buzzard does is speed up some missions

Sometimes in free roam, all I want to do is piss about in helicopters. I find the buzzard to be the best at agility and speed (even though the 4 blade maverick is meant to be faster and the 3 blade air ambulance is meant to be more agile.)

 

If I'm having a chopper day, I usually call for my buzzard, take it and land it on a roof where you can't simply climb to it, then jump off and drive to the merryweather docks and get another.

 

That way in an emergency, I already have my original sat waiting for me. All I have to do is get to it.

 

Impressed my 3 crew mates the other day when we took heavy damage from bounty hunting and I simply landed in a roof top pool next to my spare.

I thought it was just my imagination that the pegasus ones seemed weaker.

 

As for it being a waste to buy. I dont think so. You do not get helecopters spawning in missions if Im correct so if you would like to use one for a mission you need to buy it. Im not sure if this also applied to planes and boats. Anyone else know for sure?

It was one of the better investments I have made. If I end up needing to do missions solo they easily half the time it takes, sure they spawn at Zancudo during missions but too much of a hassle to go there.

+I bought it because when I want a buzzard I want a f'kn buzzard without having to drive away and come back multiple times hoping im lucky. That's why I got almost everything while I could.

1.8 isn't a lot, and attack buzzards don't spawn reliably anymore.

I got one, now grinding missions for cash is 5x faster. ROI was in two days.

Well yes, for the simple reason that should you crash the one you're in, then you can simply call Pegasus and get a replacement located instantly... Rather than hoping that there's one at a spawn point and then having to go to another point if there isn't..

I think the pier helipad is a 50/50 chance of either a Buzzard or Cargobob.

exactly.. I've seen 10-15 minute missions be done in about 3-5 minutes with the buzzard..

 

Did the prostitute rescue mission for Martin with some friends the other day, they were awed at how quickly it went and how there was literally zero risk of getting killed since you can pick off targets from afar with the missiles..

If you're having to do missions on your own, it's ideal. You'll make your money back in no time. Not so helpful if you're teaming with randoms and three out of four members disappear to get one while your trying to do the objective.

It's cheaper to spend 200 on a buzzard than using sticky bombs at something like 600 a bomb. Tank serves the same purpose but much slower.

Yeah, I bought my Buzzard when it was discounted at $1.3 million, that time when the Adder cost $750k, Super Diamond at $175k. I got a bargain, but still, paying $1.8 million is still worth it.

I bought mine with gifted cash so got it for free. It doesn't spawn in missions unless the mission requires you to use a Buzzard so it's handy to have, especially if you roll solo.

The reason people buy an aircraft is convenience, homie. Oh great, some dude stole the Buzzard already. Lemme just call Pegasus and have a guaranteed Buzzard spawn.
