I think the tires should make a big difference in GTA online. If you have offroad tires you should be able to climb mountains better than just normal high end tires.

There just about the same speed, but the off-road traction is a lot better

Well, me and my friend tried it, and we both had sandkings and I had high end tires and he had offroad tires and we both spun out the same amount. O.o

I could swear the patches nerfed the potency of offroad tires because I too remember them making quite the difference but now they are pathetic and there's no reason to use them. I also wish every format of tire had a drastic impact on vehicle handling and performance otherwise all they are are elaborate menus and naming to hide various rims.

I agree, The game mechanics are so refined as it is......>> BUT << .......little things that are logical have no place it seems.

 

You cant MOD some of the cars and you cant change the wheels on the BF Injection.

 

Also no mods for the quad. This would have been awesome... Quads with Rims and different styling options.

It would of been a nice little feature to have but then again this isnt a racing game so I'm fine with the way it is for this installment of GTA.

i always thought the off road tires helped when you were in the deep wet sand or mud, ( the kind that slows you down when walking through it) but i dont know for certain

It's most likely a placebo. That said, go ahead and do it. A placebo effect would still help you out because it doesn't hurt anything.

They don't make a difference. I took my two lifted cageless mesa's up chiliad on off road and on high end tires. No difference at all.

All my vehicles suck on off-road these days, even the off-road ones.

Where you think there's an effect but there is actually no effect at all.

the reason Off road vehicles suck off road is because R* reverted back to 1 acceleration value instead of 2 back in SA (which made off roading more realistic and possible)

the fact that i can climb any mountain with my entity let you know that off road tires makes no difference.
