Bunnies, cats, dogs, wombats, shark.

 

They can ride in our vehicles with us, and on our bikes, in little baskets.

I haven't played very much storymode since the release and when I did I totally ignored Franklin's dog except for that one mission... I barely interacted with him thereafter.

 

But lately when I've gone to storymode to glitch cars and stuff I've been playing around with Chop and I'm totally digging it.. it's such a cool thing having him sit in the front seat. Wish we could have at least Chop in our apartments.. even though I'd like a few cats as well.

Of course having a pet would be cool, but I would more like an NPC companion to fight by my side. Give them weapons and clothes, or even use your other character slot. If they are killed, there could be some kind of system put in place. Maybe hospital pickup and bill or something.

I'm still just kinda wonderin' what happened to dogs in Online. Both CVG and IGN 'confirmed' dogs in online. "Yes, there are dogs in Online."

I'd rather have animals from the singleplayer in Online than pets. The world seems empty without mountain lions, coyotes, birds, deer, sharks, etc...

You go get your pet and take him for a ride. You come across a tank griefer. You try to drive away but he blows up your car. Your pet was in the passenger seat. Just imagine.

Could be handled in many ways, but most likely, the pet would just disappear and either be there when you respawn or be back at your house. Same scenario if you jump out of a plane.

Hey, the mugger is useful too.. but a lot of these tank operators act totally schizophrenic because of that threat. A well trained dog like Chop won't fall victim to a tank turrent like the muggers do
