VersaceBenz212
I only made this account on GTA forums just to post this idea I had, maybe get it out there, or see if anybody likes it... Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad... Anywaysss... Algonquin Stories - Michael from GTA V Trevor from GTA V ...appearances from GTA IV characters & DMX (celebrity) I thought it would be a cool idea to have a DLC for GTA V similar to concept of the 'Saint Marks Bistro' mission from San Andreas Prologue - Michael & Trevor in San Andreas VISITING from North Yankton (seems like upstate NY) / Liberty City early in the years around 1996-1999 visiting taking scores with Brad (so we can get to know the 'Brad' character), than after a few robberies they fly back to North Yankton / & or Liberty City WITH A PARTIALLY MADE MAP OF LIBERTY CITY FROM GTA IV similar to how Saint Mark's Bistro was done, (it was only a portion of Liberty City made playable). They fly away to let the heat die down in San Andreas because one of their scores didn't go as planned & drew a lot of unwanted attention. They land in North Yankton / Liberty City & than your introduced to Damien (DMX) (if you listen to DMX's music, you know DMX's devilish alter ego is named Damien), Trevor & Damien get along the best since they share the same drug induced speed/coke preference, take no nonsense from anyone, get things done; type of personality. Damien is a carbon copy of DMX's role of Tommy from the movie Belly from 1998. Michael, Trevor, Brad, & Damien take scores around North Yankton (resembled as upstate ny) & liberty city working their way up from liquor stores to large banks. The use of dogs could also develop further by USING them for attacking. DMX had a pitbulls named Boomer that he robbed people in Yonkers with, so why not give Damien in the game a pitbulls named Boomer as well & pull scores with the dog interaction. Earlier / small time house robberies with the dog & maybe torture interactions similar to Mr. K's from GTA V. ...after story progression, lead up to a HUGE bank robbery that turns sour with all hell breaking loose. DMX has also made plenty of songs using robberies as a theme. His soundtrack would be perfectably suitable as well, from The Convo, The Professional, Heat, Damien 1,2,&3, ... The last robbery could have the song Heat by DMX playing during the score for example. The lyrics are a perfect match. As for Rockstar, DMX is not a big name today like he was in the late 90's early 00's, so to have his voice acting for Damien & his music rights shouldn't be a insanely high pay out for them financially. ...anyway, this would be the most grittiest, hardcore, grimmest GTA to date ...between the dark night robberies in the projects with the dogs tearing people apart, or the more functional torture scenes for interrogations... I thought this may be a suitable idea for DLC. ...this isn't a fully thought out concept, but this^ is a rough idea of what I had in mind... Thoughts?... VersaceBenz212
Maybe even get a closer look into Trevor's drug habits, his depression, his loneliness with no family but a distant addict mother (shown in gta v) Michael having family issues (would Tracy or Jimmy be born yet?) his wife being a stripper & getting fake breasts (as mentioned in GTA V), a friendship on ice with Trevor's drug usage being a serious problem, (maybe a mission where your Michael & Trevor OD's / cuts his wrists & you have to save him...) I'm not sure about Brad, but from the information told in GTA V, he was the straight shooter, he looked & reminded me of Val Kilmer from the robbery movie Heat in 1995
ViceCityStalker
Nice idea man you put a lot of thought into it and I like it. VersaceBenz212
I really like the 'unexpected sad/depressing moments' thread thAt mentions the subliminal messages they have plentiful in gta v. That's basically what I'm shooting for as an idea^....for R* to tell a story with a message, & not subliminally masking it in humor...... For the average player, A large percentage won't recognize or notice the message conveyed that players like us received like the examples from that sad/depressing moments thread. Their not necessarily sad/depressing, but most of all, their real, in today's society, in our world... Life can be a hard, very hard. & Grand Theft Auto as a piece of media conveys the NEED of crime to make ends meet to survive, not by choice Mike - "Surviving is winning Franklin, everything else is bullsh*t.........fairy tales spun by people afraid to look life in the eye..........whatever it takes kid.......SURVIVE"
VersaceBenz212
Lil_B_TheBasedGod .....well it may not be in favor to some, I couldn't help but think of DMX from the late 90's & his character from the movie belly & his songs that detail robbery strings. DMX has a LONG rap sheet of crimes & I know R* has had rappers before featured (B-Dub from SA was The Game, CJ from SA was a real life hip hop artist named Young Maylay) ...why not throw in DMX who is a CRAZY WILD dude in real life with a history of crime. ....your name is lil b based god so I'm assuming your a hip-hip/rap listener. I'm a fan of all music, I like rock, jazz, hip-hop, everything, all music is great to my eyes. Iv noticed how R* laces their music soundtrack with the story; the lyrics matching the mood/tone in the game....why not have DMX's song 'Heat' on in the middle of a drug fueled out of control robbery in the middle of Algonquin with a younger & more out of control & desperate Michael & Trevor
rpearsonx
A good Trevor DLC would be if the army needed him and he worked at Fort Zancudo but still had his crazy missions, imagine Trevor reacting to authority
Mr Oraange
North Yankton isn't in upstate New York. It's in the Midwest.
VersaceBenz212
@rpearsonx lol! That would be cool, imagine...Trevor went crazy at Fort Z & hijacked a nuke & ended up having to ditch it FAR into the ocean dropping it off a heli...than switching to mike or franklin & seeing a red sky & mushroom cloud ...than receiving a call from Trevor on the phone, Trevor saying "well mike....I think it's safe to say I'm not the proper guy of taking authority"LOL Mike says "no f*cking way Trevor" Trevor replies "it's ok Mikey, with all the smoking & tanning people do, now their guaranteed a tumor or cancer" (from radiation) hahahahaaaa awesome
VersaceBenz212
@mr oraange ...your right, I just looked at gta wiki & I never knew north Yankton had a defined area. Mid west...hmm
VersaceBenz212
That kinda f*cked up my idea for DLC lol...well than a DLC in Algonquin or Bohan or Broker with DMX in the late 90's with mike & Trevor younger taking scored from lots of opportunity in Liberty city....bump into Gay Tony & launder money through the club since gay tony was in the club business for 20+ years I think it was? Dope_0110
Let's see all the flaws in your idea: North Yankton is NOWHERE NEAR Liberty City. They couldn't just make a small part of Liberty City if you're suggesting they live there and perform robberies. In SA you couldn't (normally) get out of the restaurant and walk around the streets of Liberty CIty. Here they would have to reuse the whole Liberty City and change a lot of textures to make it fit the time period. That also includes pedestrians, dialogue, TV, commercials, cars etc.. In SA they didn't make ANY part of the original map playable, instead they made just the interior and back of the restaurant which weren't available in III at all. As much as DMX was the man back in late 90's/early 00's his music alone couldn't be the soundrack. THIS IS GTA NOT A RAIL SHOOTER. They'd have to make a bunch of radio stations, with a bunch of music. Again, DMX was that dude back in the day, but nowdays he is wreck. Every interview he's high on something and I doubt he could do a proper job, or that a big company like Rockstar would want to work with him in such a state. ChrisMathers3501
I had my own idea on how they could expand on GTAV. Michael, Franklin and Trevor were the kind of protagonists that you hate to love. At the end of the day, for all the bad sh*t that they do, you just can't help but root for them. Like Walter White. I was thinking they should bring back M, F and T and have them keep going on adventures and sh*t, but not as protagonists - instead, bring in some new characters, ones you love to hate. Characters who do f*cked up sh*t to the point you don't want them to live to the end, but they do. Like O-Dog from Menace 2 Society. M, F and T had some incredibly strained friendships with each other to the point where you had three endings, but I'm thinking, bring in three new characters who already hate each other and have them forced by circumstance to work together. Remember these guys? Their sworn enemy has been having a lot of setbacks recently. Four years after the civil war that gutted their Liberty City chapter the Lost lost what was left of their original leadership and their Blaine County trailer park got hit up repeatedly in violent attacks. If anything these guys'd probably be looking to shake Trevor's hand and buy into the TP Industries business conglomerate...before realizing just how deranged their new partner really is. We've played as a member of Families twice now. And GTAV raised a number of questions - they have a sort of shaky peace with the Ballas, but their peacemaker is dead now for selling out his own guys so what happens next? And just what is the deal with Grove Street? I think playing as this chick would give us a unique perspective on it all. And to round out of crew of bad guys, I'm thinking we should throw in a particularly creepy (not as psychotic as Trevor, but maybe a little bit creepier) Merryweather Security contractor. Fresh from some lucrative black operation in the Middle East, he gets called back to the US to deal with some recent problems they've been having, including disruptions in their domestic operations and the loss of one of their biggest backers (Devin Weston). Don't know about you guys but I think these character archetypes would make for one Hell of a good expansion pack.
VersaceBenz212
@ChrisMathers3501 "Instead, bring in some new characters, ones you love to hate. Characters who do f*cked up sh*t to the point you don't want them to live to the end, but they do." "I think playing as this chick would give us a unique perspective on it all." ...having protagonists who lean more to being completely crazy to the point making the player confused on liking the actual character would be cool & a change of pace. As for a female protagonist, I think that's an awesome idea & it would be a first in GTA, I'd be for it. Why not?, theirs certainly a female crowd who are gamers, the LEAST R* could do is DLC a female protagonist. ...I like the Merryweather idea too. I think anything Area 51 / chemical weapons / nukes (like the Paleto Bay score I think it was?) would be a cool concept. I've seen speculation on a DLC with a concept revolving around Aliens...which is plausible since GTA V had A LOT of Alien Easter eggs & such
ChrisMathers3501
Thanks VersaceBenz212. I got part of the idea from replaying Ballad of Gay Tony. After every mission I would always go to the internet cafe and read the news. The news actually kind of sucks in GTAV. There's no archive so you don't know if you missed anything - but it's still nice to access the internet from anywhere with a smartphone. But yeah, [email protected] in Algonquin was full of AoD bikers and black women. They made a thing about the deadbeats being all white supremacist and sh*t but the lot of them kept flirting and getting shot down to the point where I felt sorry for them. But yeah, you put a racist biker, a set trippin' gang girl and a guy who wipes his ass on the Geneva Conventions for government money together and you have three assholes who hate each other - you know, kind of like a punk rock band.
