Carcer City Incoming!

I really don't want Carcer City in a GTA game to be honest. It and Cottonmouth would be best left up to the Manhunt series (however likelihood is that if they make another, it will be a new location). I think if they did it, it would be just like if they set another Manhunt in LC, it would just seem weird.

I think a GTA game set in Carcer City would be welcoming but at the same time it would be compared to the most popular Location in the Series and in gaming in general,Liberty City.

Nah Carcer City still gets a no from me. A lot of people on here who want Carcer City want it simply because they don't have it. If anyone here has ever actually picked up Manhunt, like I did in it's short run here in Australia, they will pretty much know, even from the small amount of areas we ever saw, that it's not right for a GTA game.

 

Plus, knowing that James Earl Cash is still on the loose, how are we going to give ourselves "the most dangerous man in the city" title?

Well obviously its not gonna be the same rendition if its ever used, Manhunt's CC ran parallel with the 3D universe, which is already bygone. Though I suspect if Carcer City has an HD rendition all the crime and violence would be toned down to meet (or at least try to) real life standards and like I said, we don't know for sure if Carcer City has a definite rendition or not. Even if it does, i doubt we'll have much info on its whereabouts.

We have no certain information about Carcer but Carcer City is thought to be a reflection of Rust Belt cities (which include area such as Detroit, St.Louis, Chicago). For me, choosing Detroit or St.Louis can be a sharp idea because of high crime rate and homicide rates at peak in these two cities (I always wanted GTA to set in Detroit or St.Louis, especially Detroit). About Detroit, there are many African-American gangs dominant in the streets of the city. Also there are many Latin drug gangs which generally consist of huge Puerto Rican populations. Trailer park residentals are so much common in ghetto areas of Detroit, could be useful for some ghetto based criminal stuff. Car industry plays a major role in Detroit's economy but it has been in an extreme decline since 1970's but major impacts started to be felt during the late 70's, however if you want to touch on the decline in car industry, mid or late 80's is the best time, decline in car industry hit people so hard besides fashioned crack epidemic. I mean every period of time may work for Detroit, it's up for you to choose which one.

 

Also Carcer City is maybe (with a great possibility) a city on East Coast, because it's stated in some GTA games that Carcer City is not so far away from Liberty City. So Philadelphia could be a good choice. You can touch on heroin smuggling and car smuggling operations, mostly carried by Easten Europen criminal populations, most infamously Greek gangs, which are very common in the criminal life of Philadelphia. However, I think 80's would be a better choice for Philadelphia rather than the present.

My personal opinion is that Manhunt and Bully take place in both the 3D and HD Universes, until there's evidence otherwise. So basically my belief is that if Rockstar are going to use CC again, whether it be GTA or Manhunt 3, that it will be the same rendition we saw with Cash, Starweather, Piggsy, etc
