We don't really know much about Carcer City. What we do know is either speculation or directly from Manhunt/GTA.

Just make your own, like universe said, there isn't much we know about the city itself, other than that it's a huge dump.

I am sure a future GTA will be set in this Aforementioned City (Carcer City).

I doubt it. While it's fun to guess, I keep thinking that Carcer City is going to be to the Grand Theft Auto series as what Wilson's face was in "Home Improvement". We never see it, yet it's always mentioned.

you might be right bro,but i can bet my money that the first Next Gen GTA wont be GTA 6,i predict it going to be a Spin-off.

Even if the next GTA is gonna be a spinoff, my gut tells me that it'll either be in Vice City or San Fierro/Las Venturas.

*with more NPCs esp in Star Junction

*More interiors to get in

*a Next-Gen HD Remastered Graphic to GTA 4's LC

*etc

Well its always possible one of them is going to be set in the carcer city.

For sure bro.According to GTA it another city next to Liberty State.probably based on a mixture of Boston/Philadelphia.

I don't think it's in Liberty State, especially since there's nothing confirming it.

That aside, Boston is in Massachusetts and Philadelphia's in Pennsylvania.

It could be based on Philly and Camden. Not all of Carcer was featured in Manhunt, remember? Also, Liberty City wasn't based completely off of NYC. Who Knows? Maybe the case is the same for CC.

You mean the III rendition or the IV rendition?

I always figured Carcer City was a Midwestern rust belt city like Chicago, Detroit, or Cleveland.

@universetwisters the III rendition of course, all we know about Carcer City is from that era. As for the HD one, we know Carcer is 100 miles or so from Liberty City, as are Philly and Camden. That's just my assumption that Carcer is based on these two.

@Osric yeah I always figured that too. Until I realised that from all the references about CC's location that we get, Carcer is most likely an east coast city. LC is inarguably an east coast city and the Midwest is just too damn far to be "Nearby Liberty City".

Location:

Philadelphia

Camden

Everything you want to know about population, geography, law enforcement, demographics...

Blend the two and you have Carcer City.

Detroit is also a good choice.

Or it might be part or GTA Midwest (North Yankton,South Yankton etc) or it is part of Alderney State but it wasnt represent in GTA 4's Rendition of Alderney State just like how Liberty City is in Liberty State but LC is the only city that gets represented in the state (Damn i am sure there would be many cities in Liberty State because it based on New York State just like how Alderney state is based on New Jersey but GTA 4 only represent half portion of it) (I didnt say HD Era because maybe Rockstar might Re-imagine Liberty City in the near future or might cover the whole state of Liberty)

@Tyla

Damn A fictional Detroit as a setting for a GTA game would be B-A-D-A-S-S.that why for next-gen,with the success of GTA 5,Rockstar have alot new locations in the U.S to Parody and add to the GTA Universe...that why i told OP that GTA 6 wont be the first Next-Gen GTA,we might 3 Subtitled Games (Spin-offs) before GTA 6.

You can also take reference from these:

These are useful if you want to depict Carcer City as a generic crime infested rust belt city. But if you want to depict Carcer City as Philly-Cam like I did in my thread or Detroit, do what Tyla said. Edited by bengalboy_0701

Now the fact according to Mahunt Wiki(the page doesnt exist in GTA Wiki, maybe there is problem)is that Carcer City is Based on Philadephia.I know a GTA:Detroit would be great but can that be say with the Aforementioned City (btw i am not from the U.S but my Geography Knowledge is Great).

I would settle for either and wouldn't worry about a concrete location. I've saw the American Dream questioned in GTAIV, I've seen it prosper in GTAV. Now show me where the American Dream goes to die.

I'd doubt it would be in one of those two states. Despite the fact that both of the Dakotas aren't part of the rust belt (as shown below), Carcer City's known for it's industry, steel mills, etc. North and South Dakota don't really have much industry aside from agriculture and your oddjob manufacturing.

I'd say it's a mix of Detroit, Camden, Cleveland and maybe Buffalo or something. Basically all the really sh*tty, rundown East Coast/ Mid West cities. It's probably smaller than other GTA cities, but you could add some run down towns and woodland around it.

I think it would have a dystopian feel to it, with gangs battling in abandoned buildings and police too scared to come. The original two Max Paynes had a good atmosphere that I think would fit nicely.

The proximity of Camden - Philadelphia - Baltimore on that map is pretty damn enticing for an SA sized map.

Now that i think about it more, Carcer City probably is in the Midwest in the HD Universe, but like universe said before, I doubt it would make an appearance in any of the games. Only thing we can do is speculate.

I really don't want Carcer City in a GTA game to be honest. It and Cottonmouth would be best left up to the Manhunt series (however likelihood is that if they make another, it will be a new location). I think if they did it, it would be just like if they set another Manhunt in LC, it would just seem weird.
