Yeah, at first when i saw that video with the sad song music I thought, it was a joke. Later checked rockstar support and I saw many topics about the console ban.

I've also noticed 90% of GTA V videos (and videos for most other games) start out with some variation of "What's up guys?" 90% may be underestimating. Man that has gotten on my nerves more and more. People need to come up with better ways to intro their videos than "Hey guys, what's up? Today I'm going to be blah blah blah blah blah"

As for YouTube and gtao, it would be nice to watch some gameplay videos but of course every day I do a search 90% of the videos are how to cheat. Its ridiculous how many people invest so much time from their lives into their channel and subscriber count, although the number of views on those videos is even more disturbing.

Hopefully someday the top gtao daily videos will be about an ultra-competitive race or intense free aim shootout, something that might interest and impress.

It's never the actual real hackers that get banned, they are good enough to get away with it. But at least it will knock out 95% of the cheaters, the guys just along for the ride.

 

Personally I'm thankful I was gifted a sh*tload of cash before the 'big purge'. It showed me pretty clearly that having a bunch of money was not such a great thing, and I have no desire to glitch money or RP now.

 

But I don't begrudge those who do. I can see the allure. Especially those who came to the game after we all got our billions (and garages full of cars, etc.). It does suck that we got to keep all our or ill purchased stuff. I mean, good for me, but it sucks and was not the right thing for Rockstar to do.

 

I drifted a bit here... anyway, glad they are banning people, but not naive enough to think this stops the actual hackers.

OK. Rockstar should spend more time doing their job like creating some real DLC. Create more jobs, heists or fix the small bugs like the draw distance when looking through the scope of the sniper rifle.

They are starting to act like the obama administration by spending more time and money going after people that make them look bad rather than fixing the real issues at hand.

If one lands in a lobby that has cheaters you simply pick another lobby.

I actually had fun in the lobbies with cheaters. Killing on another was more of a challenge than playing the same missions over and over again.

You try running Rockstar let alone any company with multiple priorities.

 

Anyway, who's to say they aren't currently developing the DLC? Chances are they are busy working on them, but banning cheaters is the top priority right now. Also, what is everyone's obsession with the draw distance? I think the fact I can see all the way to the city from the mountains is phenomenal! I don't notice a dramatic change when viewing through a scope, but there shouldn't need to be.

 

As for the 'Obama administration' simile it should be remembered it's part of their job on this service to ban people. Also fixing the loopholes they've left isn't just going to be as simple as fixing it and that's it; they need to catch people promoting this information as well as exploiting the game so they don't try and kill it later. As well as that, they've been caught cheating, so it makes sense to catch them all and throw them out.

 

It's actually good that they've kept to their word and started punishing those caught. It must suck to be a YouTuber who flashes their fancy glitches and cheats right now.
