Carbonizzare pronunciation

Few people I play with say it in a way that sounds like nails on a chalk board to me. Perhaps it is just me thinking it is suppose to be more "Italian" like the Ferrari. Kinda like how people Pronounce Porsche wrong a lot.

Anyways, do you pronounce Carbonizzare:

1. Carbon I Zer (Carboniser)

or

2. Carbon i zAre (Carbonizare)

or

3.Carbon i Zara or Carbon i zAra (Carbonizara)

or

4.Carbon i zari (Carbonizarri)

5.Carbon e zar eh

Please excuse my terrible way of "wording" this. No this doesn't matter. It is not a big deal. I know some people take grammar very seriously sometimes, so please give your input on it. Thanks.

I could never remember the name when i first got the game, so i referred to it as the 'Carbonara'.

The name has since stuck.

Could this because #1 is easier to say?

I also ask because a few try to correct me by repeating it over and over like I will accept it and perhaps that is why it gets at me too lol

I go for the #3. I just like to pronounce things in a Latin-like way.

I always do it in my German lessons, my teacher f*cking hates me for it! :D:p

I think they did this on purpose.

The word carbonizzare is an Italian verb meaning to carbonize.

And it's actually, carbon i (as in it) zar aye.

So like # 3. I just broke it down very badly?

I say it like, CAR • BON • EATS • AR • AY

(think words like "piazza," pizzicato," "pizza," and "mazzo."

Here's a couple of sound links:

mazzo: http://www.dizionario.rai.it/poplemma.aspx?lid=38839&r=8992
paralizzare (or paralizzo): http://www.dizionario.rai.it/poplemma.aspx?lid=24539&r=570147
pizza: http://www.dizionario.rai.it/ricerca.aspx

;)

edit: just saw vipprimo's post, so mine is redundant. cheers!

Oh! Yea, okay then. lol

Don't take it personal. I don't ever try to write a pronunciation to an Italian word if I can help it. I've literally had to say to people, "you can't get there from here." lol

This makes it sounds like Carbon i zarri. If this is the intended pronunciation it would make sense seeing how it is a Ferrari.

I pronounce it "Kor-vet"

Confusing a Corvette with a Ferrari is dangerous ground ;)

Actually, carbonizzari isn't quite what 2 says is it. That's what I've always called it.

Ah, option 4. There we go.

Carbon-yih-zare if I'm being short and careless about the fiction of it (in game), otherwise I'm using the italian pronunciation to spark discussion online occasionally.

Car bon i zere (rhymes with "there")

It least that's how I say it.

Carbo for short :santa:

I think I'm the same as this - "carbon-is-air". Haven't a clue how it should be pronounced really and usually call it Carbo...

Truth be told, it's a bit of a hodge-podge. But to me, it looks more like a Corvette from a few years ago than anything else.

Not to turn this into another one of "those" threads. There is 1 thing for certain. The Carbon is a Ferrari. 458 Italia mixed with a California. Google these images. The Corvette is obviously the Coquette. I don't mean to be rude to correct you on this... as it is a fictional car. However, it is based on real ones and I honestly don't see anything in the Carbon that suggests anything Chevy.

Edit: Forgot to add the F12 Berlinetta is also mixed it. Maybe even more so than the 458.

In game

vemp_0808_04_z+2008_chevrolet_corvette_z

In RL

You can't tell me the similarities aren't there.

But, yeah. Off topic. I've made my point.

2 is the way it should be said. Or as close to it with the spelling lol

Its actually a frankencar. It consists of parts of an Aston Martin, F12, Ferrari California, and even some GTR with the headlights. However its clearly aimed to represent a British-Italian hybrid.
