How to tell if Banned?

Since my GTA 5 just freezes when starting story-mode, and then tells me cloud servers are unavailable when going to online and then freezes, I'm beginning to think i'm banned. Which doesn't make sense because I've never received false money, never given false money, never even had false money, never used exploits for rp/cash, never used dns codes, the ONLY time i've "cheated" on GTA online was to buy a tank using the internet glitch, which I'm starting to think was intended because it's still not patched.

Is there a way to check if you're banned from the game?

I've deleted the game and it's update and re-downloaded it all, no luck.

ALL other games work completely fine.

Should I try deleting my 100% campaign save? (or all of them for that matter), or perhaps delete all of the Part DLCs (like the Part1, Part2, Part3, and Part4)

I was gonna say sounds like more of a hardware issue until you said other gamse play fine... but even if you were banned from online, that shouldnt change how you play single player. At least in my mind i dont see how that would change, they cant ban you from single player

Could be a disc error then, got a buddy you can swap discs with to see if that fixes it?

well it doesn't say that for me, it just says "Rockstar Cloud Servers are currently unavailable" then it gives the option to go to the single player, and before I can answer it freezes

well it doesn't say that for me, it just says "Rockstar Cloud Servers are currently unavailable" then it gives the option to go to the single player, and before I can answer it freezes

 

I'd guess you are having network issues. Either with your provider or maybe rockstar servers are down. Check your network provider for any issues. Power cycle your router etc. most likely just poor connection speeds. And outages.

Internet is extremely fast right now, same for other games, will restart router though,

I've already deleted and downloaded the game again, no way it's corrupt already

Yeah well as I say I accept it. I did the crime, so I'll do the time. However I don't know what exactly the crime was. I've insurance duped cars, sold a garage full of adders and bought rebels etc to generate cash. Never once did I use DNS.

I'm hearing a lot of people got banned recently for using DNS.

 

So word of warning to all, I guess it was the irregular cash injections that done it. Although I'm the 1st I know to get banned for this. As I can gather everyone else was for DNS.

Quite possibly. Guess we will never know. There no point asking rockstar coz I am guilty of some cheating.

However friends have been worse than me. And have used DNS and most recently as of 2 days ago. They aren't banned.

It looks like the flagging and random sweeps don't detect everyone. It must be down to luck.

 

What I reckon is, there is no one thing that gets you banned. It seems like it's just if you are caught in the net at a certain time. Randomly.

 

I thought DNS users were auto bans but apparently not.

To get 1 to 1 support you need to call them up, even that, their phone operators suck at solving problems and they will just send you emails on how to fix the problem (which could help you) but if it's a problem other than that it sucks

Having same issue. Have the infinite loading screen glitch. Sign out if psn to get the game to load at all. Try to go online after signing back in once game actually loads. Says cloud servers offline then freezes when trying to send me back to single player

No infinite loading glitch here, just unable to get to the game. And I have xbox, not ps3. But I'll try, I guess

I'm having a problem loading Online when my SocialClub account is linked, which majorly sucks for maaaany reasons. It says "timed out loading session" every time I try to join Online. One quick unlink of my SocialClub fixes the problem, but that IS the problem. I don't want my SocialClub unlinked. lol

 

Oh, and when you're banned, it says "You are banned from GTA Online. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V."

"You will be put into a solo session with a temporary character, this will not overwrite any existing characters, proceed?"

After prompting yes it froze my game.

Calling R* now.

You'll know when you've been banned when you log online a sign will pop up telling you just that.

 

Are they pemament though friend of mine told me earlier that he got banned after using a DNS someone had been passing around yesterday

You gotta set your dns settings back to zeros. Only way to do that is the select easy (for ps3) and let it do everything automatically then after you save settings go back and customize as needed.
