I have two accounts, my old and new one. I hopped on my old one to see what happened to him. I joined a random lobby and saw i had only 50k in my wallet and i was a level 1. Then a message came up saying "someone has put a bounty of (insert ridiculous amount of money here) on you. I didnt realize this until some kid started screaming of joy when he killed me, he started yelling "yesss i got millions!!" I was confused than it finally hit me that he just got tons of moey. If you had a million dollar bounty on you through the shutdown, i guess it stays?

Anyway, if you didn't sit out the bounty, of course it carries over.

 

Rockstar didn't eliminate current bounties during the cleanup. They just checked the bank.

I thought so, ive had that bounty for so long, i stopped playing two weeks before the shutdown cuz i couldnt connect to a session. I guess someone just got 900 something million dollars.

He will get banned. Rockstar now checks everyone cash every few hours or so. My friend got banned because he used the DNS yesterday which gives $100k every mission.

They reset the money earned from bounties to 9000 if it was more than that... so no, he only got 9000.

We told people not use DNS, we told people if you want to cheat at least do it the right way that is pretty much untraceable if not reported

I used the DNS for lulz, im not sure if it saved but i know i used a cheater bypass. I set my internet back to normal and im out of the cheater pool for good now. That is strange. Not like i care if i get banned, i have a huge backlog from ps+ and games with gold lol

I'm sure he was yelling because he thought he got millions. He killed you and knew you had a huge bounty. The thing is r* put a cap on what you can recieve so if it was a $1000000 bounty whoever get is will only recieve $9000. I had a bounty carry over and have seen a few other large bountys. They don't give you more than $9000.
