Why No Buzzards in Freeroam?

I stopped playing for about a month and I just got back into GTAO recently.

 

Beforehand the Buzzard would spawn without fault at the airport and Trevor's hangar provided no one under lvl50 was nearby.

 

Now it hardly ever spawns anywhere.

 

Did R* change something in an update, cause now if I wanna use it regularly I'm forced to folk out the better part of $2million. Greedy Bastards.

I think it cycles through the helicopters you have unlocked now, so a new type will spawn if you leave the area.

They made it so all choppers have a chance at spawning, as it should be.

 

Observation bias; Different airfields might even have different spawn priorities. If I need a cargobob, I almost always seem to find one at the Grapeseed airfield quicker than anywhere else, for example.

I will say this, the Buzzards that spawn at helipads can take a hell of allot more damage then the Pegasus one.

In my opinion the free spawning buzzard shouldn't even have weapons, and the only way you can get one with weapons is through pegasus.

I make a phone call and for $200 it shows up at the nearest airport or helipad.

It was stupid you couldn't get a cargobob after 43 so tons bitched about it including me. Months later I've now purchased both bob and buzz and can summon them with a snap of my digital fingers.

 

But yes 1.07 or so randomized chopper spawns

Really? My buzzard takes one shot these days before it smokes. Incredibly annoying. I'll try getting a pegasus one from now on.

Tried the Buzzard again tonight after going without it for a while, this thing really is weak as piss.

I get that it's not a full-on warbird, but it can't be scratched without chugging some smoke

What's worse is the engine stalls happen way sooner and get progressively worse. I think when the annihilator got buffed the buzzard got nerfed.

Buzzards almost always spawn for me, more than any other heli it seems, might just be the luck of the draw how often it spawns

 

Also on that map I noticed that the Cuban 800, number 18 on the map will spawn but it always seems to be locked when it does, is it unflyable in MP or is my game just being a twat about it lol
